Dave's Famous Subs! I have been coming here for years. The food here is awesome and the portions are HUGE. My favorite burrito is with sausage, egg, cheese, mushroom, salsa, and sour cream. Yes, it's good! Dave's meats and cheeses are always fresh and the bread always tastes like it was delivered that day. If you're craving soups, he has a huge variety to choose from, like cheeseburger soup, cheese steak soup, bacon and potato soup, vegetable soup, and mushroom soup. This is just to name a few! The owner is a great guy and knows how to treat his customers. Even when it's extremely busy, he and his staff will always take the time to smile and ensure your needs are met. I highly recommend Dave's if you're craving some great food! Dave's is only open for until 2 pm Mon-Saturday, but he is trying out dinner now on Fridays. Check it out! read more

Instead, I drove over to Golden Dawn Diner, an old Route 130 diner that proudly runs on solar power and seems determined to keep the great New Jersey diner civilization shambling onward at least another few decades. The parking lot looked a little lonely when I pulled in. Not dead exactly, just resting its eyes. Inside were a handful of regulars who had the settled look of people who know which waitress works Tuesdays and which booth wobbles. My kind of crowd. The waitress appeared almost before I sat down. I did not need the menu. Two scrambled eggs, home fries, white toast, scrapple, coffee. Scrapple, for the uninitiated, is what happens when Pennsylvania Dutch thrift and ingenuity collides with breakfast meat and nobody asks too many questions afterward. It is made from pork "scraps," cornmeal and existential resignation. Fried correctly, it is uniquely magnificent. Mine was magnificent. Thin slices, crisp around the edges, soft and moist in the middle, clearly worked on a grill by somebody who respected the material. The eggs were right, the home fries actually tasted of potatoes, and the coffee arrived hot and kept returning as faithfully as a Labrador retriever. The food came out with astonishing speed, which under the circumstances may have saved me from gnawing on the booth. Eighteen bucks including tip. If in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Four stars.

Idil makes you feel immediately at ease and very welcomed. Her service is always consistent and great. Many servers are great, But no one is charming and really builds that relationship where You WANT to come back as soon as possible!! We also Love Aleeka!! She's amazing, too. We Love these Ladies and their service is Great! The place is always spotless and well cared for and Clean! It reminds my family of when diners were Diners in NJ. Very few are left and Thank God for Golden Dawn Diner and Idil !! We look forward to returning and enjoying our meals with her.
