The Maryann. They forgot to give me the avocado.
    Michaela G.

I was really excited to try the Dutch Crunch bread. This spot is a drive for us. Service was good. We ordered takeout. My husband had the Hellkat. He said he would give us his sandwich a four out of five. I got the Maryann. I was super disappointed. I took a bite and thought it was dry. Then I realized that they didn't put avocado in my sandwich like they were supposed to. I had to add my own mayo so it wasn't so dry. Also, not the meatiest sandwich I've ever had. The Dutch Crunch bread is a dense doughy bread. I thought it was just ok.

i CANNOT rave enough about how delicious the sandwiches are at this spot! I came here after a festival weekend and even though the place was filled to the brim with orders, the staff expressed how they were dedicated to working on my order and they delivered a delicious meal. The dutch crunch bread is so soft and fresh, alongside all of the other meats, veggies, and sauces that came on my sandwich. This is a staple now each time I'm stopping in or around vegas. I can't wait to go back for a wonderful meal!

Recently stopped by The Sandwich Spot and had a great experience. We went on a weekday afternoon and the place was nearly empty, which made for a relaxed visit. Since it was my first time, one of the employees walked me through the popular options, which I really appreciated. While waiting, they mentioned that the bread is imported from San Francisco twice a week, which adds to the appeal, especially knowing how popular this chain is in California. The Hellkat (5/5): Packed with pastrami and bacon, a combo that surprisingly worked really well together. The cream cheese added a rich, smooth element that balanced the saltiness of the meats, and the Bomb Sauce tied everything together with extra moisture and flavor without being overly spicy. We loaded it with most of the complimentary toppings, which added even more texture and depth in every bite. Overall, the sandwich does lean on the pricier side at around $14.49 before tax and tip, but the generous portions and excellent customer service made it feel worth it. With fewer Ike's locations around, this is a spot I'd gladly come back to and explore more of the menu.

I got here pretty much as it opened up on a Friday morning and I'm sure I was the first customer. The ovens were still heating up so I had time to talk to one of the staff, though I'm not sure if he was the owner or not, either way, he was a very nice guy.. The inside of the restaurant is adorned in car and motorcycle memorabilia which gives it a pretty cool spin and definitely gives you something to look at while you're eating or waiting for your sandwich to be made. I was getting my order to go and got the high roller and the merc, both on Dutch crunch bread, with everything on them. I also got a side of pasta salad. The pasta salad was extremely creamy, rich, and delicious and even though I thought it was quite a small amount by my standards, I really only ate half of it because of how rich it was. I was told the high roller was very tasty and my sandwich, the merc, also hit the spot. I never usually get a sandwich with cranberries on it, but this was one of the first that I've seen where it wasn't a rip-off of the Bobbie from Capriotti's. It added just a little bit of sweetness and tartness to the sandwich which paired well with the marinated chicken and garlic olive oil sauce. With this spot being just a few miles away from me, I'll definitely be coming back here to try many more of their sandwiches, and so should you.

There are plenty of sandwich places in the area, but this is probably my favorite. Their Dutch crunch bread is just unbeatable. Last time I went they were taking care of a huge online order, but still got our sandwiches out quickly. The interior is decorated with classic hotrods, as is their menu. Just try a sandwich, get it on Dutch crunch, and you won't be disappointed.

Okay so I finally tried The Sandwich Spot after seeing a post in my Facebook foodies group from Brad Kushner and I HAVE to leave a review because it was seriously so good. What first caught my attention was that they had Dutch crunch bread because I've been wanting to try it forever, and I also kept hearing how good their sourdough was. The funny part is after I saw the picture that Brad posted, I was pregnant-craving obsessed and needed THAT exact sandwich My husband went in and literally showed the owner a picture of the sandwich, and they were both trying to figure out which sandwich it was or if it was some custom order. The owner was AMAZING. Seriously one of the sweetest people ever. He helped us figure out what sandwich I wanted, talked with us the whole time about growing up in San Francisco, and was just incredibly welcoming and kind. He even gave my son a little toy car which was so cute. So not only was the food incredible, but the service honestly made the experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about people. My husband and I loved everything we got and it was so good that we've already gone back like four times since our first visit Definitely go try them if you haven't already. I'm posting pictures because the sandwiches were INSANE.

Really tasty sandwhiches! We got the turkey & cranberry, salad with balsamic dressing and chicken pesto sandwich. We'd definitely come again and FYI hot sandwiches take a little longer!!

This sandwich shop was fantastic for our HGSA event! They provided a delicious sandwich platter for the group plus individual sandwiches for the parents. Everything was fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared. It made for an amazing day -- highly recommend!

This place is so good!! The Dutch crunch bread and the sauces are mind blowing!! I dream about this place, already had 2 sandwiches this week alone lol

Lots of meat on this sandwich!

It's really all about the food! We heard about this small spot close by and came in for lunch. Okay look it's not cheap and it's not real fast. That's okay. If you are down to wait and pay for quality then try them out! Seriously you get what you pay for !!!! First I recommend the Dutch Crust Roll, how do they do that? The sides are made in house for real but are big enough to share so try them both! Then the sandwich only comes in one size, and it doesn't look that big. But you get mound of meat piled into a really great fresh bun and the toppings are garden fresh! It was all I could do to finish it! The kids at the counter are great, professional and happy to help you! Attitude stems from management and they have a great attitude! They should do well but need to get the word out! Stop in try em out, then tell some friends. We need more small family run businesses in our area!

Found this "spot" while looking for a good non franchised sandwich place. Well, it's locked in now! Lots of choices to pick from or you can build your own! And they have special sauces. And the owner Gary tells me they're gonna be bringing in BBQ brisket! Good food, good prices, good management, and good music! There's a sign on the wall above the counter and on the menu: "Love All, Feed All" How could you not love that! Will definitely be back!

Great sandwich! Would absolutely come back again to try another. The Cadillac was delicious, but just note it is a heavy sandwich! Would live to try something lighter next time around.

I know something is legit good, when I try it once, fantasize about how good it was, then come back again, and it's EQUALLY as good as the first time. After trying this spot the first time, I came back 2 more times within a week. The price be a bit steep at $16-$17 a sub sandwich. I usually can only finish a 6 inch off of a footlong subway sandwich. But here, imma eat all of it cuz it's so damn good. Chicken- 5/5. I make sure to only order if I can eat it on the spot to avoid the salad from getting soggy. Flavor is soooo good. Deli- 5/5. Might not be the same as an Italian sub, but, it's still super good. Beef- 5/5. I like this one a lot. Sometimes they be inconsistent with the pickles onions, which balances out the meats. The potato sticks loses its crunch if you eat it after leaving it in the fridge for 8 hours so best to eat it within a few hours max. I'm usually a huge fan of tuna sandwich and have yet to try it out. Same with caprese. Lines can look a bit intimidating and definitely recommend ordering for pickup, which is the quickest way. I'm also a sucker for French baguette. And man, they have mastered the bread as well. Oh, also their dressing for the salad. I dunno what the heck it's made of, but it's a cross between poppy seed dressing with the sweetness combined with a slight mustard/vinaigrette flavor. Hope they open more locations in other parts of town. Also, the cashier wears this beret and seriously his outfit and vibe looks like a "golden boy." I don't even know what that means but, if there was a photo of a golden boy, his hat and outfit fits the vibe.

It smelled heavenly, but the real magic happened when I put the fork in the bunch! Smokin' Sammich Is one of those places that's tucked in the back of a shopping center. But I'm telling you right here and now it is absolutely worth the hunt! I had read about this place online, saw some Instagram posts about it and decided it was about time for me to try it for myself. This is not one of those quick little snack places, this is when you are seriously hungry and need something to keep the wolf from the door. Everything looked so amazing on the menu, I really didn't know what to do. I opted for the bowl with noodles and rice, brisket, I paid extra to have the side of grilled pork belly, and it also came with a couple of egg rolls. I jumped into the egg rolls first, they were so good. At first I was a little put off because they seem so small, but in this case big things come in small packages! Packages! And the dipping sauce for the rolls, top notch! I had to use a lot of restraint, because I wanted to dig right in, but I wanted to taste the meat on its own, as that is the mark of a really good barbecue. I'll just say this, I would put this meat up against anyone in a competition! The brisket was fall apart tender, had great bark on it, and had just the right amount of smoke. It was still moist, and so flavorful. The pork belly was absolutely amazing. Like the brisket had great bark on it but was tender, and juicy on the inside. All I could think about while I was eating it was how awesome it would be on a cheeseburger. Let's talk about the rice and noodles. Most bowls use rice and or noodles as an afterthought. More of just a base to lay the meat on. Not this place. The rice was some of the best I've ever had. Had just the right amount of stickiness, and definitely tasted like it was just fresh cooked then and there. Same thing with the noodles. Absolutely flavorful and a great side dish. Okay, let's talk sauce. I brought home some of the spicy barbecue, as I like a little bit of heat with my sauce. And this one delivers in spades! Super delicious. Had just the right amount of heat at the back of my throat, and really complimented the meat without overpowering it. You could put this on the pork belly, the brisket or an old shoe.. anything would taste good with this sauce! Since I had rice, I knew I was going to want some of their teriyaki sauce. Wow! Just wow! You can tell this is not out of a jug from Costco. This stuff is homemade right there! Much like the spicy barbecue sauce, this had a little bit of a surprise kick to it. Definitely not overpowering and was an absolute joy to put on the rice and the noodles! Bottom line? This is going to be my go-to sandwich place for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu at least once. If you were ever in the area and you didn't stop by to get something here, then shame on you!
