This is a good place to visit if you're in the mood for a sandwich. Every time I have visited, the staff has always greeted me and been a pleasure to deal with. In my humble opinion, their sandwiches taste much better than most competitor shops and they have a good verity of options to choose from. They do a pretty good job of loading up the sandwich with all the goodness. My go to sandwich is the #19 (Call of Duty). For the more healthy conscious, I highly recommend it on marble rye bread. For the not so health conscious, they also serve ice cream and milk shakes. They offer bottled beverages and a fountain drink station. This location can get pretty busy during the lunch hours. This building is located next to Tracy High and can get crowded with school kids. To mitigate wait times, I highly recommend calling in your order so it is ready upon arrival. I decided to build my own sandwich by getting the Turkey, Salami, Cheddar cheese, and Swiss cheese along with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, mustard, and mayo all placed on a Dutch Crunch Roll. The sandwich was good; I was expecting a bit more meat and cheese, especially since I paid extra for it. It was prepared much smaller than anticipated. The bread itself was decent. I even got a side of potato salad. It tasted pretty good. This deli is tolerable, but it wouldn't necessarily be my top choice. read more

This is the first sandwich place that I can say satisfies my sandwich craving since Gerard's Deli went out of business (the og's know). I've had quite a few different sandwiches from here but myself and my coworkers can agree that the #13 BLT (extra half portion of bacon on sliced sourdough) is THE BEST! At the office, if we can't figure out a place for lunch this place and Rustys is always at the top of the list. The service is always great, the man making the sandwiches is always very nice and is always working hard, and Jennifer is the nicest lady ever! I offer to go pick up our office lunch order just because Jennifer's great personality can brighten up your day! This is a cute little restaurant but it is a place you go to for pick up only, they don't really have tables and chairs that you can sit at. Was craving a deli style sandwich for dinner and usually, because I'm a picky eater, my sandwiches are more bread than filling. However, that was not the case at The Sandwich Spot on the East side. Ordered my sandwich on sourdough, chose my type from a large selection and made my modifications. Had brought my friend who also chose sourdough roll, chose his menu item with very little modifications made. I MUST praise this place for such a great sandwich (even for this picky eater) at a good price. The sourdough roll was amazingly fresh. I know with minimum wage being raised it's going to make it hard for small businesses like this to employ the help they need, so I hope they're able to come to some kind of solution. There's not much to the ambiance, it's a small place with a counter that lines the window and a small table, but it looks clean. Overall I like this spot, but it is pricey. Went today for the first time. There are so many sandwich options! I went for the Raging Bull #27 and it was delicious. The bread was not super hard and the pastrami was delicious. I usually do not get a roll style for my bread because the bread is usually too tough but I went with the sourdough roll and it was perfect! This place is amazing ! I especially love their Kimball Jag. I do have a concern though. I came in a couple days ago with my daughter and there was a young man working. He took my order and cashed me out. I noticed he had this extreme attitude and continued looking at my little girl in a strange way. It was a bit unusual but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. As he handed me my sandwich he was extremely and unacceptably aggressive. I noticed a girl in the back notice almost as shocked as me. I took my sandwich and left. I looked back to see this young man ROLL his eyes! I looked at my receipt and found out his name was Eight. I went home and talked to my family friends about the situation to find out they have had the same problem with him. This is unacceptable and I hope he gets exterminated soon. read more

I had gotten a tuna sandwich and the only downside to it was that it didn't smell like tuna it was like the strongest fish smell I've ever had and it was left over on my hands and had to wash constantly for it to come out. I'm giving 2 stars as I've been here a few times with my family and have always enjoyed the food. However the last time we went they gave my wife the wrong sandwich. Not a big deal, everyone makes a mistake. The next time we go in and tell them about it they gave her a free sandwich to fix it. When we get home they had put no tomato on a BLT. So I called them about it as I just wanted to let them know because I didn't want to go all the way back for tomato. Where they lost me as a customer was when she called me back to argue with me that they put tomato on the sandwich.
