Found this place on Yelp and had to try it! The sandwiches were delicious! Everything tasted really fresh and the bread was crunchy. They have a huge menu with a lot of variety, everything sounded so good! They also serve ice cream and milkshakes. Their prices are great! The place is quiet, the staff was friendly and quick. This is a good place to visit if you're in the mood for a sandwich. Every time I have visited, the staff has always greeted me and been a pleasure to deal with. In my humble opinion, their sandwiches taste much better than most competitor shops and they have a good verity of options to choose from. They do a pretty good job of loading up the sandwich with all the goodness. My go to sandwich is the #19 (Call of Duty). For the more healthy conscious, I highly recommend it on marble rye bread. For the not so health conscious, they also serve ice cream and milk shakes. They offer bottled beverages and a fountain drink station. This location can get pretty busy during the lunch hours. This building is located next to Tracy High and can get crowded with school kids. To mitigate wait times, I highly recommend calling in your order so it is ready upon arrival. If you're into sandwiches, you need to check this place out. read more

I visited The Sandwich Spot on Thursday, 8/3/23, during lunchtime. I decided to build my own sandwich by getting the Turkey, Salami, Cheddar cheese, and Swiss cheese along with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, mustard, and mayo all placed on a Dutch Crunch Roll. The sandwich was good; I was expecting a bit more meat and cheese, especially since I paid extra for it. It was prepared much smaller than anticipated. The bread itself was decent. I even got a side of potato salad. It tasted pretty good. This deli is tolerable, but it wouldn't necessarily be my top choice. read more

This is the first sandwich place that I can say satisfies my sandwich craving since Gerard's Deli went out of business (the og's know). I've had quite a few different sandwiches from here but myself and my coworkers can agree that the #13 BLT (extra half portion of bacon on sliced sourdough) is THE BEST! At the office, if we can't figure out a place for lunch this place and Rustys is always at the top of the list. The service is always great, the man making the sandwiches is always very nice and is always working hard, and Jennifer is the nicest lady ever! I offer to go pick up our office lunch order just because Jennifer's great personality can brighten up your day! This is a cute little restaurant but it is a place you go to for pick up only, they don't really have tables and chairs that you can sit at. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place if you are craving a good sandwich!! read more

Was craving a deli style sandwich for dinner and usually, because I'm a picky eater, my sandwiches are more bread than filling. However, that was not the case at The Sandwich Spot on the East side. Ordered my sandwich on sourdough, chose my type from a large selection and made my modifications. Had brought my friend who also chose sourdough roll, chose his menu item with very little modifications made. I MUST praise this place for such a great sandwich (even for this picky eater) at a good price. The sourdough roll was amazingly fresh. Add on the good amount of meat/cheese and extras, you have the most satisfying sandwich. I will definitely return to try more choices AND the ice cream goodies that are also offered. read more

First time here. Wanted to give it a try and man it was the best idea lol... From walking in we were greeted and the customer service we got while we were there was amazing even my kiddos agreed. I got the Goodfellas and my son had Bad Boys. They were both really good definitely will be back on my cheat days (currently on keto ) but i did see the sandwiches can also be made into wraps and salads so I will be trying those. The sandwiches are really good, ingredients taste fresh, they don't skimp on them either. Service is good, they're polite but they need to hire help cause they can get backed up pretty quick. I know with minimum wage being raised it's going to make it hard for small businesses like this to employ the help they need, so I hope they're able to come to some kind of solution. There's not much to the ambiance, it's a small place with a counter that lines the window and a small table, but it looks clean. Overall I like this spot, but it is pricey. Two sandwiches and two smoothies for my son and I cost $42! A sandwich spot shouldn't cost that much, I understand we are all dealing with inflation but $21 for a sandwich and smoothie is excessive. However if you're in the neighborhood stop by and give them a shot. read more

I came into this shop a couple of days ago and I have to say the food is amazing I especially recommend their tuna salads unfortunately while ordering this short young man with dyedish hair was being quite rude, I have a quieter voice due to anxiety he kept raising his voice saying he couldn't hear me he even rolled his eyes once. What can I say? This place has the best sandwiches, drinks and ice cream and the sweetest owner and staff. Today I had the Zena Delight and it's just amazing. All the ingredients taste fresh. I also tried the mango drink with mango jelly and it was so good. I appreciate the awesome service making sure that they make the sandwich the way I like it. AWARENESS: While still working in Redwood City, the Sandwich Spot was on the weekly list of places to order from for lunch. So when this shop opened in Tracy, I already knew it would be an instant hit. NARRATIVE: The Sandwich Spot isn't just or does it have the taste of every other deli. They have creative sandwiches and some of the tastiest sauces out there like, they're "bomb sauce." SCENE: The Sandwich Spot is located on the Northwest corner of Tracy Blvd. and East Street. Went today for the first time. There are so many sandwich options! I went for the Raging Bull #27 and it was delicious. The bread was not super hard and the pastrami was delicious. I usually do not get a roll style for my bread because the bread is usually too tough but I went with the sourdough roll and it was perfect! Definitely will be back, the staff was so nice as well and the wait was not long at all. read more

I enjoyed my Kimball Jag (#24) on sourdough, my hubby enjoyed his Splash Brotha (#2) on sourdough (with no mayo, no bomb sauce, and no mustard), and my mother-in-law was happy with her vegetarian sandwich called The Green Goddess (#10) which she enjoyed on dutch crunch bread. The bread was clearly fresh and it smelled like fresh baked bread inside The Sandwhich Spot. We are excited to try more sandwiches and will return! I went to the sandwich spot and was very disappointed. I asked the server questions about the sandwhiches which he couldn't answer. As a consumer and not really knowing the selection, I needed a little help to curve my taste buds based on the selection. I decided to order and told the server the way, I like my sandwhich prepared. The server made the sandwhich dry and it was not very good at all. I was trying to figure out how this server is working in a sandwhich spot and can't tell you nothing about the sandwhiches. I've been going here about once a week since they opened. Their sandwiches are great! But something has changed lately. They started using cheaper paper to wrap the sandwich, now they use cheaper,flimsy and smaller cups for fountain drinks. They use to have very nice napkins, now it's the scratchy kind of papertowels you find in public restrooms. I'm sure they're saving a lot of $$ on low quality items but as a frequent customer.. I've noticed!! I thought they cared about quality... But it seems like that method of thinking was tossed out the window recently. Today, the girl making my sandwich was cutting it in half and some chicken fell out onto the cutting board. She did not put it back into the sandwich and left it there on the prepping counter. I noticed it, but didn't think much of it. Until I was eating my sandwich and the last 25% of it had no meat. read more

This place is amazing ! I especially love their Kimball Jag. I do have a concern though. I came in a couple days ago with my daughter and there was a young man working. He took my order and cashed me out. I noticed he had this extreme attitude and continued looking at my little girl in a strange way. It was a bit unusual but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. As he handed me my sandwich he was extremely and unacceptably aggressive. I noticed a girl in the back notice almost as shocked as me. I took my sandwich and left. I looked back to see this young man ROLL his eyes! I looked at my receipt and found out his name was Eight. I went home and talked to my family friends about the situation to find out they have had the same problem with him. This is unacceptable and I hope he gets exterminated soon. read more

Great sandwiches for a great price and then the pandemic hits. Coming out of Covid I understood less meat on sandwich for the same price. Now I walk in today and a 20% increase in your prices when US inflation is 7%. Wow. You lost a good loyal customer. Not to mention you ran out of number 1s for the sandwich price board lol. read more

I'm giving 2 stars as I've been here a few times with my family and have always enjoyed the food. However the last time we went they gave my wife the wrong sandwich. Not a big deal, everyone makes a mistake. The next time we go in and tell them about it they gave her a free sandwich to fix it. When we get home they had put no tomato on a BLT. So I called them about it as I just wanted to let them know because I didn't want to go all the way back for tomato. Where they lost me as a customer was when she called me back to argue with me that they put tomato on the sandwich. I know what tomato looks like and I can tell when there is none on the sandwich!! read more

Ever since this spot opened up, my sister and I can not get enough of their sandwiches. Being located right next to the school just makes it easier for us to visit once or twice a week. The owner and staff always welcomes us warmly. Their ingredients fresh, bread never stale, and great tasting ice cream. Also has a great tasting secret sauce that takes the sandwiches to the next level. Do yourself a favor and support a well deserved small local business instead of hitting up your nearest sub par subway. read more

I was connected with Humberto and I have to say -- he was wonderful. I explained the situation calmly, let him know this was more of a teaching moment than a complaint, and he handled it with such genuine kindness and professionalism. He looked up my order, acknowledged what happened, apologized sincerely and offered to remake my sandwich with the mushrooms included. That kind of customer service is rare and it means a lot. This with the very low expectations that if there were any offerings, anything remotely similar to Texas Barbecue would be a miracle. Thank heaven for miracles! It's all in the name - Taste of Texas Barbecue puts the flavor and quality where its name is. I was pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped the brisket and pulled pork on my 3-meat plate and found that everything was moist and smoked just right. At first, I was taken aback that the meats were wrapped in paper and rather luke/room-temp warm. Then I thought that is very smart to keep the steam created in the take-out container from overcooking the meat during delivery (similar to when I use butcher paper to complete my smoking process to keep the flavor and moisture). Having Texas roots, I am very persnickety about brisket in particular. I usually have to have a flat shipped to me when I have the time smoke my own to get that amazing Texas bark. One of the markers of great Texas-style brisket done right is that it has the trifecta - (1) perfect layer of bark, (2) tender/moist, and (3) the smoke flavor comes through so you don't need sauce except to complement the flavor. TTB has taken this Texas girl on a flavor journey back to Dallas!!! For the sides, I chose potato salad and coleslaw, but potato salad is not an option anymore, but is still listed on DoorDash. TTB gave me a call when they received my order to let me know and listed other options - I chose the Mac. I loved the coleslaw. The Mac was good, but I would have liked it more if it arrived hot, so it may have been creamier. The barbecue sauce is perfect - not overly sweet - a great compliment to the brisket. The only thing I added was sliced onions that I marinate in fresh lemon juice. It complements the flavor of the brisket and bbq sauce. Thank you, TTB - I will definitely be a frequent flyer coming back for more and more when I don't feel like ordering and smoking my own! :0)

Great spot for BBQ lovers, and I'd definitely come back to try more!

My order took about ten minutes to prepare and I headed off with my bag and drink towards home. At the house and before tearing into my food, my camera ate first. My Bagel with Lox was dynamite. Super thick cut of fresh salmon with cream cheese, capers, onion and cucumbers gave the sandwich a nice crunch. My Sea Salt Caramel coffee was great and their Asai bowls are impressive. SCENE: Located at the corner of W. 11th Street and East Street, Isabel's Cafe now occupies the old Sandwich Spot location. RECOMMENDATION(S): Awesome food! Highly recommended. The only negative I had was, unlike Sandwich Spot where you could watch your sandwich being made, Isabel's doesn't have that option. Everything is prepared in the back, away from the customers.

Like everything else in California, the cost is through the roof now.
