Stephen, did a great job. We discussed the job and set expectations and he did exactly what I wanted for a great price. He follows up.

They resided my entire house (after another company did an awful job that resulted in water damage) and replaced several windows and installed a cedar soffit. Communication could use improvement, and I would not recommend them to replace any exterior doors (their bid was insanely high). There were a few issues along the way (damaged meter box, dented gutter) that I wish would have been brought to my attention, but everything was addressed and in the end the crew went above and beyond to make me happy. They did an excellent job installing a beautiful cedar soffit, which is now my favorite part of my house.

But I do need to point out some glaring details about this project as a note to myself more than anyone else before hiring this company. I first reached out to them in November last year and Manuel responded back very promptly using the odd messaging system Yelp uses. We traded a few messages, and Justin came out not long after to do a survey on the broken window in the bathroom which looked like it had been hit with a BB or a bullet. He gave me an estimate on replacing that window but pointed out that a lot of my other windows either had a lot of condensation build-up and/or mold beginning to grow out of the dampness. I ended up making the executive call to replace them all. It was a perfectly enjoyable hour or two discussing and then finishing up paperwork. He said he'd be in touch in about 4 - 6 weeks and left. That's where communication on an unprompted basis ended. I waited for almost 2 months before I picked up on the old Yelp thread because no one ever reached out during that period. Manuel told me twice he'd get back to me, but he never did. Someone named Skylar called me and told me Manuel had left on family leave. What kind of professional leaves his customers without notifying them that they are being handed to another representative? Then Skylar handed me off to Luke and despite my request to give me a heads up so I could let my work know if I needed to be home, he never confirmed anything. A third party delivery service showed up while I was sleeping and I had to clear out my garage so they had room. Then half an hour later Alex and his team showed up to start installing. I'm lucky my job was flexible enough to take me not coming in that week, but for other customers, do they have that kind of agility? It took them two days total to do the main job and then finish. After that Alex showed me the work and I signed a paper that he said was more for his team (I do a lot of projects for work and I'm pretty sure they were contractors for ASW). After that Luke said he had to do a walk for job completion that was never followed up on. I called him as promised and he said he'd get back to me, but he didn't. Then came the Docusign asking me to verify the job walk was done. I didn't sign it, thinking he had to do his walk. This was a $20k job. This is the first house I've ever owned. I wanted to be sure. He then said the job walk was done and I signed off on the work which meant the paper I signed with Alex was the final sign off, but he could have just explained this and saved us an email thread. One final laughable detail is his email to me didn't have an attachment, so his marketing team had to send me the photo he referenced to verify I signed. All in all, this whole process left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a customer. The plus side: The windows look great. They reduce outside temperature and noise at a noticeable level. But ASW is just the coordinator. Other companies manufacture the windows, deliver them and install them. The one thing they should excel at is communication with the customer, but they decidedly don't.

With the heat we've had the past few summers and then the snow that seems to be a yearly event now, we thought it was time to get a really good widow upgrade. We also wanted out house painted after installation and Clear Choice set that up for us as well. (See my review for Triple A Painting). What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. The outside look is classy and fits well with the style of our house and the neighborhood. We highly recommend Clear Choice Windows & Doors if you're looking for new windows.

This was a "discounted" price but we've been very happy with them since. I even gave them a 5-star review post installation. The quality of their product and the skill of their crew couldn't have been better. We were told at the time of the sale in January of the same year, "iyou ever need repair, adjustment or replacements of our windows, screens or sliders for as long as we owned our home to just call." We even have that promise in writing. Jump ahead to early this year. We have an issue with the downstairs slider. It has stopped being easy to open so I called RBA to please call me as I explained the problem on their voicemail system. As of this date, I have not received any callbacks. I even tried prompting them with the the possibility of me writing a review/complaint on Yelp and posting it on Facebook. Crickets. Still no call after almost two months. Last year, I told my brother-in-law to use RBA for their new replacement widows which he has since ordered yet to be installed. You would think they would put 1+1 together and give me a call. Nope!

She went directly to their website and successfully scheduled an appointment that was supposed to take place today. I recently purchased a home that needed a lot of love and Greensavers was one of the contractors that gave me a bid for work paid for by a home energy improvement loan. Two weeks before Greensavers were to come I called a different mechanical contractor to do a routine furnace maintenance. The tech discovered the unit was damaged. It was possible it could leak gas. I had a negative expereince with the contractor (another company) who performed the service. I did not feel comfortable moving forward with that company to do the furnace replacement so I called Greensavers the same day. I explained the situation, that the furnace needed to stay off even though it was getting colder and Mira came out that same day to work through the options with me. This required a lot of leg work for Mira and the team as supply chain issues for HVAC units, HVAC sizing, schedule and availability, space and electrical constraints, incentive programs and budget all had to be considered. There were so many moving parts! Within a couple of business days she had reviewed the incentives, consulted their HVAC techs, project managers, schedulers and gave me several options that would keep the total project dollar amount at the same level as the original scope of work and with the potential to get the job done soon so that the house would have heat. We walked through all of the potential pros and cons of the new scope of work: full electrification, air sealing, weatherization and ultimately landed on a plan that would improve comfort, energy efficiency, air quality and actually ended up costing less than the original scope. The team actually managed to get both the HVAC replacement and the weatherization job scheduled and completed during the same time frame for which the original job has been scheduled - despite the huge changeup in scope. When Mira handed off the job to Charlie (the project manager) and Daniel (the field crew lead) I was so impressed with how customer service oriented they were: they always asked me about the tradeoffs and gave their honest opinions about whether aspects of the job were worth it. Even seemingly little stuff - like would I still want the door weather stripping if there were a possibility it might damaged the newly renovated hardwoods - showed me they not just there to check a box - they were acting like partners in this project and showing they cared about my house and much as I do. This is a firm that specializes in clean electrification and we went deep into considering full electrification of this home, but due to sizing and supply chain issues it just didn't seem practical to go that route given that the heat was off and it could push the job out significantly. Charlie explained a few future options where an attic heat pump could use the furnace as auxiliary heat during cold weather days. I hadn't heard of this option before but when I checked with my energy efficiency and heat pump expert friends they were all aware that this was a great option for people who for reasons like mine ended up having to go with a gas furnace replacement due to timing, budget or both. Charlie and the crew always advocated for the best solution practical even if that meant that I would end up paying them less for the job overall. I super appreciated his and Mira's friendly and proactive approach to answering questions, explaining options and working with constraints. This week their crews came and did a fast, clean and efficient job of installing the new furnace and thermostat, insulating and air sealing the unfinished basement and HVAC ducts. They thought through all of the little details - they ran the line for the furnace condensate pump to an interior drain. This is a big deal. The condensate pump on my last furnace runs to the exterior of my house (a typical configuration) but this means when we have a cold snap it freezes and shuts down the HVAC completely. Their crew had already anticipated this potential problem before I brought it up! They ran new ductwork where the previous occupant had made some odd changes that interfered with window clearances. Somehow - even given the non standard size of the ducting and odd placement - Daniel and his team fit both the ducting and insulation in a way where the window could be operable. They were respectful and left the job site clean. I am so thrilled to have a warm, cozy home in time for the holidays. Thank you to the whole crew at Greensavers. Appreciate you.
