It was easy as ABC... With lots of west side locations I do love that they've been a regular at the Waterfront Plaza lawn for the Taste of Aloha which happens every second Saturday night from 4pm-8pm a vibrant new night market that's been booming and so are the plates from The Savellano's Lechon. As I was with my friend searching the various choices it was the racks of lechon just totally stopped us in our tracks and just watching them peel the skin back as they chop up the meat and add the skin to cover the chopped pork on the plate was just magic. They had three choices of plates to choose from and it was "B" Lechon+Pancit+Rice oh my goodness the succulent pork so juicy and tender the skin was just perfectly crispy and that insane combination worked perfectly with pancit. The staff was so nice and friendly as they all worked so cohesively and it was just about no wait time for our plate. Follow them on instagram @thesavellanos_lechon to find them but I know where I can find them to get my fix and probably just get them by the pound. Thank you!

I saw them at the Pearl Country Club Night market last month. They were so nice but the pork wasn't my favorite. They were very busy though so it may be a me thing.

Move over Lechon King, there is a new lechon champion on the Island. Outstanding Filipino lechon. Fatty pork belly stuffed full of lemongrass and scallions, perfectly salted then spit roasted over open flame, enclosed in a gas burning "oven" where dripping fat is allowed to smoke. The resulting lechon has incredibly crispy skin, very well rendered fat, is amazingly juicy and flavorful AF! The lechon is phenomenal alone but add the accompanying sauce to kick up the flavors to the next level adding an almost fruity sweetness and making the flavor of the lemongrass even more pronounced. Samples of their pinky sized lumpia were also great not needing its accompanying vinegar sauce. Lechon sold as plates or by the pound. $23/lb at a recent What the Truck event. Preorders accepted for an entire belly (17-20 lbs) for $120. Poping up around the island. Follow on IG. Worth seeking out.

I came across Savellano's Lechon for the first time at the Taste of Aloha Night Market at Restaurant Row and after just one bite I knew I was hooked. The lechon was juicy and packed with flavor, and the skin was cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy and delicious! I also love that they include sauces with their plates. If you think the other lechon wagon is good, wait until you try this one. Savellano's is on a whole different level.

Hit them up at Kamakana Alii SC this past Sunday at 130p and thankfully they still had Lechon. Loved it and the people are so nice - even gave as a sample as we waited for our order. The Aunty who took our order apologized for reduced availability Windward side (where we live) but we get it - it's a marvel they keep these Lechon roll crunchy throughout their service window (I think it was 10-2 at Kamakana on Sundays).

Best lechon I've had in a while! A little gamey. Tender juicy pieces, with exactly 3 pieces of crispy skin.

I got a plate at the most recent What the Truck event at Pearl City High School, and the skin was so crunchy!

So... this is a pop up that I thought was supposed to start at 10 bc I have ADHD, and I planned to…read moreget here at like 9:30 bc I seen how Pua Blooms blossomed (pun intended) after these Jolene's pop ups. But I took my kids to another coffee truck (A Little A Latte) and like it goes with kids, they made me late. So I got here right at 10. But it's ok bc Cai.CafeX3 was just getting here. So I was a tad annoyed. But then I actually looked at the sign and it said 11am. They opened the doors right on time at 11 and took the first two customers in. I waited not even 5 more min before they let me in. Initially they were still making drinks for Jolene's staff which I think is awesome to bless their staff with a drink but it really delayed the drinks for the rest of us. They were very nice tho and kept apologizing. Wasn't a huge problem bc at the beginning of events like this you need to hit your groove. I was out of there by 11:22. The girls in front of me ordered a total of 4 drinks, and I ordered 3 drinks.... So I guess over all with all the staff drinks they had to make, and the fact that it was only one drink maker... they were still pretty quick. The line was wrapping around Jolene's so I think they will do well. I ordered the Vanilla Salted Caramel, the Strawberry Matcha Spritzer, and the Hojicha. They were only offering oat milk today, I think to manage the line, but if you go to their IG they normally offer other milks. I will need to try them again when I can choose bc I do not really like oat milk. But I do like how you can customize your sweetness level. All our drinks were good. My daughter pilfered the spritzer. Of the three the salted vanilla was the best. Their straws were cute pink heart straws that didn't photograph well in its wrapping. But my daughter says she's gonna use one on Wednesday bc it's pink lol. And we got a cute sticker too!
