I'd suggest going somewhere else. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The food was cold, tasteless, and not enjoyable. We ordered several plates with a variety of items from the buffet line, and nothing seemed to be served at the proper temperature. The lechon kawali was cold, so the skin was chewy instead of crispy, and parts of the pork belly were hard. The mongo beans were concerning enough that I didn't feel comfortable finishing them because I wasn't sure what was in the dish. The longganisa/tocino also lacked flavor. There are individual sizes to party sizes. For dessert I like the ube roll, cascaron, and the turonitos with saba. Service: It varies. Sometimes it's good and sometimes you have to make sure your presence is known. The Pandesal: 5 stars! This is the main reason I come here to get the fresh made to order pandesal. It's $4.25 per dozen. This location keeps it in the oven longer. I like it a bit more crisp. I could eat a fresh dozen on my own. The employees at the Golden Coin Ewa Beach are RACIST against non-Filipino people. I visited Golden Coin today around 4:15 PM to purchase dinner for my family. There were several sample containers displayed with various prices, and the way they were arranged was very confusing. Naturally, I asked about how they serve their à la carte items, but it was still confusing when a younger Filipino employee tried to explain the pricing structure. The person who assisted us was a young Filipino woman in her early 20s. While talking to her, she became sarcastic and arrogant, rolling her eyes. She set a negative tone from the start. While I was placing my order and deciding what to get, she turned around to talk to an older Filipino woman, making snide remarks about me. They even referenced that I am Hawaiian and started laughing, which really pissed me off. The girl stopped assisting me, and the older woman took over, but she was no better. I called the manager, who responded with, "And so? What do you want me to do about it?" I am going to spread the word to everyone that I know to never go to Golden Coin again. You should be able to get Pandesal any time of the day nice and hot as long as your willing for it to bake but they can't even bake it at this location!?!?
