Golden Coin Food and Bakery serves up a delightful array of Filipino dishes and baked goods, giving a taste of the Philippines in every bite. Their menu is packed with authentic flavors, from savory classics like adobo and pancit to sweet treats like ensaymada and halo-halo. It's a must-visit for anyone craving the comforting taste of home or wanting to explore Filipino cuisine. Golden Coin opens early at 5 a.m., ready to serve breakfast and coffee for early birds. Their menu features a range of Filipino breakfast items, hearty entrees, and freshly baked pastries, appealing to both locals and anyone eager to try Filipino flavors. Cheerful Aunties Marie

I'm not sure why this place is listed to be "permanently closed" when it's very much open. I grabbed a plate of pancit with fried chicken and it was good but I wish I got a bbq chicken skewer or something else. 7/10 on the service because they were kinda slow but I love me some Filipino food. Usually I'm picky with Filipino food but this one hit my craving. They also have an arrangement of drinks and other grocery items, as well as fresh baked pastries or breads like pan de sal. It's a small restaurant with a takeout style cafeteria option. People can eat inside as they wish. There's a lot of different food choices in this shopping center but I was craving Filipino!! Vegetable lumpia

I USED to like the lumpia before, but that changed after today. The lumpia at the Ewa Beach location somehow shrank and got short in length. It was tough to eat and the noodles inside were very hard. It was THE worst lumpia I have ever eaten. It was short, torn, and fried. 1 star for good sauce.

Why did I come here? Just craving for a quick breakfast, I came here. The service is ok but the food is well I should just stick with dessert. I know you read my Waipahu Golden Coin review. Even through the food is on a hot plate under lights. My food was cold. How cold? Cold enough for me to put the sweet longganisa in the microwave. And I only live five mins away from this place. The pancit was hard and I threw away half of it. Overall one star. Food not the greatest here but I'm sure the pandasal is good.

Dear Pandesal, I terribly miss you. I miss the way you smelled when I walked into the room. I miss the way you felt in my mouth as I bit down to your outer crisp met with a soft inner goodness. I miss hearing that ding from the bell announcing your entrance. I miss the way you made me feel when it was all said and done. I miss you! Do you miss me? I think of you on two occasions that's Day and Night! Kim C. I moved to San Diego and have searched all over for a place that sells make it when you order pandesal to no avail. What: Golden Coin started in Hawaii it's a Filipino fast food and bake shop. There are 7 locations on Oahu and 1 on Maui. This location is small. There is seating inside and outside. Where: Located in the Lualani shopping mall near Teddy's Bigger Burgers and next to Ross. Parking: Tons of free parking. The food: It varies by location. You walk through a line and the food is ready for you to pick and choose. You can choose ala carte, mini, 2 choices or 3 choices. I like the breakfast deal for your choice of bacon, langanisa, tocino, or Daing (fish). It also comes with rice and an egg for $5.25. Though this location is small they offer a variety of desserts. There are individual sizes to party sizes. For dessert I like the ube roll, cascaron, and the turonitos with saba. Service: It varies. Sometimes it's good and sometimes you have to make sure your presence is known. The Pandesal: 5 stars! This is the main reason I come here to get the fresh made to order pandesal. It's $4.25 per dozen. This location keeps it in the oven longer. I like it a bit more crisp. I could eat a fresh dozen on my own. If you like Valerio's type of pandesal you may not like Golden Coin's version. Valerios is thick, doughy, and bigger. Pandesal....I am counting the days until I return home to the islands. You will be one of the first I will run back to enjoy!

Just a quick trip to Gold Coin Bake Shop n Restaurant in Ewa Beach....it's lunchtime and I'm am hangry for some delicious Chicharon....,yep there are mountain full there! I chose one that looked just right....meaty but still with some fat(!).....Josie asked if I wanted it chopped, yes please!.....the pieces were chopped so that we could dip it in our homemade sauce( vinegar..garlic...1 small chili pepper) da best!!!.... 4* Covid protocols: workers n customers all wearing masks 4*Food quality n presentation: the Chicharon was tasty although there was hardly any crispy crunch to the skin..(you see the beauty of eating Chicharon is to enjoy that yummy crackling skin) so maybe the process for getting the crispy-ness got lost somewhere?!? 4*Customer service: during most of my visits customer service was always blah...but I must say today was really nice...Josie was tops in my book! Salamat Ms Josie! Keep up the good work!!

Try the dozen pandesal baked fresh everyday. We also come here after church to get traditional Filipino food for brunch.

Idk why someone gave it a bad review. The food is tasty and legit. It could be warmer since its under heat lamps but overall it's good.
