Service was great but the food was terrible. I had the veal and it wasn't good. My wife had the pizza and she said it was good.

Comfortable seating with old 80s music playing softly overhead, the beer was quick and cold and the French fries were piping hot. That is one star compared to the rest. The calamari over cooked to being near burnt with squid so gummy it was unpalatable. The cheeseburger sub barely had cheese but did include 2 slices of semi-cooked bacon which I removed because it was so undercooked. The burger was so over cooked I gave up after eating barely a 1/3 of a half of a 10" sub. Took it off the stale to burned sub roll hoping ketchup could salvage it, but I was wrong. The veal parmigiana sub had the same sub roll but my friend was so hungry he ate half. The veal was tasteless except for the sauce which really didn't have much flavor either. Our server still has not adapted to speaking with a mask on so we had to have her repeat everything and mostly just gave up on hearing her. She also couldn't total our check to pay at the register or gauge a tip. And she couldn't remember boxes for the one good part of the meal, the French fries. I've had the takeout and never been unhappy, but this dine in experience was one of the worst I've had anywhere in recent years. I do hope it was just an off night. read more

I feel 3-Stars is a good review for this place. The food was 0.5-Star. Bland, Canned, And should be banned. Ordered the Ziti with Sausage & Mushrooms. It was basic, #10 canned sauce, canned mushrooms, and not sure about the sausage. Very runny and the little seasoning. The Garlic Bread was basic and underwhelming. Ordered Cheesecake and Chocolate cake for dessert. The Chocolate cake was pretty good but the Cheesecake was frozen. The reason for the additional 2.5 stars was the staff. Our server was on point. Frequent stops to ensure our drinks were topped off and very welcoming and professional. I can see her in a higher end establishment, or as a trainer. The kitchen staff scooped our meal out of the cans. Into Mike, and on the table in minutes. I would recommend them to relocate to a theme park with that speed. read more

We went to Tuscany two days in a row this past week, because we were in town for the Pirelli World Challenge race at VIR. Apparently, this is a local watering hole that is frequented by race teams that come into town. Actually, that might be because it's one of the few food options in town aside from Hardee's (Carl's Jr) or other fast food spots. Regardless, the food here is pretty good. The salads are pretty basic with iceberg lettuce, but the CALZONE and STROMBOLI here... damn, they're huge! That's what she said. (Seriously, the girl sitting next to me actually said that when the food came out. ) They come with a gigantic bowl of marinara sauce that looks like it could be an appetizer soup in itself! Amazing. I normally try to avoid eating foods with tons of carbs, but the calzones & strombolis at this place are pretty awesome. The ribeye steak is pretty good too. Not steakhouse level, but it's not steakhouse pricing either. I'd definitely order the ribeye again next time I'm in the area. Oh, the eggplant parmigiana is good too! read more

We were in the area for the VIR and saw this place so decided to try it out since we were starving! The place alone seems pretty isolated and not a lot of people were dining in. In fact the lights were off inside but the inside was spacious and a lot of sitting available. We were greeted and were taken care of very quickly which is always great. For appetizer we got the bruschetta which I found to be delicious. It was warm and tasted fresh. For my dish I got the 10" Calzone. It's the smallest size and it was huge!! That didn't stop me from practically finishing all of it lol. Overall, Tuscany hit the spot for me and everyone in my family today. read more

Stopped here after a day driving at VIR. Place was deserted, but after reading Jon's and Mike's reviews I figured I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. I had a killer stromboli (veggie + steak) and frosty Sam Adams for under $15.00. Ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked, overall one of the top 5 I've ever had. Can't wait to eat the leftovers for breakfast tomorrow morning. I'll probably go back again before I leave town this week. This place is good enough it should have been a lot busier (although there was a steady flow of takeout). read more

We stopped in last night on our way from Durham to Richmond. There was a lot on the menu which was great because my husband doesn't particularly care for Italian food. I had the Veal Parmesan & it was a huge portion and so yummy ... he had the chop steak with gravy and french fries. We had a very nice dining experience and everything was reasonably priced especially since we got side salads and bread included in the meal as well. Would definitely go back again. We did have to ask for refills and extra napkins as they were not offered. read more

Never disappoints. The pizza is amazing no matter which one you select. One of my new favorites is the vegetable spagetti. So full of deliciousness. The service is fast but friendly and welcoming. We were there with a large group, but we did call 2 days ahead so it shouldn't have been a problem. Unfortunately, I don't have much positive to say about the experience. Salads were basic with lettuce, tomato, croutons, onion, & cucumber. That & the mozzarella sticks were the only good part of everything we had there. We ordered brushetta & it was nothing like the pic. We even confirmed that we ordered what was pictured & yeah... We each ate one piece & tried to pawn it off on the rest of the group, but no one had anything nice to say. Our entrees were unremarkable at best. I ordered chicken caprese, which turned out to be tough chicken in orange water, greasy mozzarella (which I didn't know existed) & ton of black pepper & Italian seasoning. Not good at all. I pushed it around my plate to not embarrass myself. My friend had the sausage ziti & "meh" is the best he could offer. That comes from a guy that eats & like everything! Very disappointing. P.S. When traveling through town we saw several local police vehicles in the parking lot and immediately knew this is a great place to eat... And they and we were correct. The two waitresses were extremely busy but were able to also handle our party quickly. The pizza was wonderful and they handled all our needs quickly. Manager - not good!!! We went in and ordered TO GO. Hadn't been to their new location. The order would take over 20 minutes (which was fine.) We asked if we could sit and wait and were told yes and asked if we wanted something to drink. We just wanted water. She brought the water and was very personable even for our to go order. She asked us to pay at the counter just before it was ready so I did, I even tipped $3 since we took up a table that she might have lost a tip on. When she came by the table she mentioned that the manager said it costs him .50 per cup and made her charge us $1.00. When the food was ready, we went to the counter and a man, whom I had not seen before at the other location (which we visited on a semi-regular basis) was standing by the register so I asked if he was the manager, he said "yes" so I mentioned that I had just spent over $40 on dinner and was not happy about him telling the waitress to charge the $1. He said that is the house rules. I said, as the manager YOU make the rules. Maybe it's the communication translation and I was wearing a mask but he insisted that I needed to follow the rules. I had already paid. I'm hoping he's not the OWNER but anyway, I told him I wouldn't be back. So, he chose to lose customers over $1. When I got home, I found 1000-16 oz. styrofoam cups and lids for $46.00. I guess he's being ripped off and paying .50 per cup he feels passing it along is okay. Even if he shopped Sam's Club and had to pay for cups and lids separately they would be under .07 a piece. Fine... I'll enjoy Isabell's Restaurant where the Owners are friendly and care about their customers. read more

The only reason this place does not get 1-star is because the food tasted descent. Service, slow... Decor, dated 15+ years. But the WORST part.... The banner by the cashier... Not only are there banners showing the food, but the pics are not good! And the icing on the cake, SPELLING MISTAKES!! I have NEVER seen a place spell one menu item two different ways from banner to menu. With their extensive menu options you know that the food can't be fresh. Just sad, but the crazy thing is, the food is so CHEAP that the place is packed.... Amazing what inexpensive food can do! read more

I come here whenever I'm in town for a race at VIR and the food is always really tasty, served quick and in very generous portions. In a small town like Danville, it's nice to have a non-chain option with fresh ingredients. The pizza is always really good, but so are the rest of the items. Don't believe the menu. Went here for lunch and ordered the bruschetta, which was pictured in the menu with fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and sliced tomatoes. What was served was canned diced tomatoes, a bit of parsley and melted shredded processed mozzarella on soggy bread. Ugh! In his favor, the owner did take the dish off our check but never seemed to understand the disconnect between what the photo on the menu promised and what was delivered. This isn't fresh Italian food. It's small town, fake Italian with highly processed, canned ingredients. read more

I had the lamb gyro and it was made perfectly, everything about it was fresh and made to order. Normally when you get a gyro from an Italian place it's pretty iffy if you'll get bread that isn't stale and just warmed up to mask it. However I enjoyed it bet much. I was really in the mood for aglio,olio and pepperocino which was not on the menu. Waitress had no idea of my request which I expected and respected. Fantastic Italian food! My girlfriend and I were in town for the races and wanted some Italian food. The menu looked huge and my girlfriend is quite the picky eater, so that it was. The menu makes the place out to be very fancy and upscale, but its quite the regular casual place. I had the seafood fettuccine Alfredo and boy was it good! HUGE portion served with a salad and garlic bread. The shrimp was HUGE, muscles were good and the pasta was cooked just right. She had a personal pizza, which she also enjoyed, and i ate left over as well the next day. The service was very good and very quick! They did show a photo of Michelob Ultra on the menu but didnt carry it. I would easily eat here again and plan to stop here anytime im in the area for the races. Menu prices were fair, food was great and the staff was friendly. I worked in an Italian restaurant for a few years and this food compares right along with the food i ate there.
