Special offer when you call that requires taking a survey. I just wanted to ask a question. I hung up.

The staff was patient with me and the paperwork was pretty straightforward. Once inside the exam room, a medical assistant asked questions and made sure I was comfortable before the doctor came in. The doctor looked through the notes and asked questions that made me think they actually paid attention. They talked about a few possible explanations and gave me an idea of what kind of progress to look for. They seemed to weigh out options without sounding unsure. The visit wasn't perfect but it gave me a better picture of what I might be dealing with. The environment was clean and they seemed to care about keeping things running on time without rushing through patients. I'll keep this office in mind for the future.

My doctor's office said they sent in the referral twice. I was informed that only one person in the office could pick up referrals; I spoke to 2 different people in the office who answered the phone explaining that. Both of them assured me that they would leave a message. No return call ever arrived to either myself or my insurance company and I therefor was denied physical therapy for over 3 weeks. I never missed appointments, was always early, and I never complained. I finally called their corporate office to file a complaint about the denied extension of my therapy caused by their staffing. Happily, I wound up going to a different therapy group. The new physical therapist was able to identify the reason for my problem. The Select PT person failed to identify this. I saw minimal change seeing Select P.T. and I have seen improvement from this other PT.

I was dubious and almost cynical when I first engaged Select Physical Therapy in Redwood Shores. After my initial consult with Justine, I still remained somewhat skeptical. Over the course of almost 2 months, the pain profile of my lower back pain progressed from electric, drop me to my knees pain, to an occasional muscle soreness, to finally no pain at all. All of the staff and I do mean, all, were kind, empathetic, and laser focused on my rehabilitation. Special thanks to Justine, Stephanie, and Anna up front who made the journey therapeutic, rewarding, and dare I say fun. Physical therapy requires commitment, a plan, and guidance by trained experts; The staff at Select Physical Therapy in Redwood Shores provided wonderful care, and along the way, made me a believer in the quality of life change that top notch physical therapy can bring.

But this place and Michael I'd walk on fire to get to on time. Caring and helpful. Not your run of the mill therapy. Michael is super knowledgeable. He works with my issues and adjusts because I have stenosis and carpal tunnel and sometimes the work to stabilize my neck will exacerbate the carpal tunnel. He's flexible and supportive with both issues. Everyone is always wearing a mask and there is no tolerance for unmasked mouth breathers. I appreciate that. They have high quality air filters and always do temperature checks and hand sanitizer is readily available in many locations. They are keeping my pain in check until I can get to neurologist and orthopedic surgeon.

From the get-go, the staff was warm and friendly and prioritized my recovery. I ended up working with my physical therapist Mike for over three months, and looked forward to my visits every time because of how well I was treated. The aides were professional, kind, and attentive. The front desk staff was a delight to work with. I appreciated having my exercises demonstrated, printed, and emailed, and was provided with all the necessary equipment and knowledge to do them at home. I enjoyed my time at Baysport so much that it was bittersweet to leave, despite my recovery. They really go above and beyond to make sure you are well cared for! (And yes, they give you a shirt upon "graduating" from PT...and it's a nice one!)

I am very impressed with this facility. I have had knee issues for many years and two surgeries…read more I find that this place is cautious, proactive and detail oriented. You get 1-to-1 attention, diagrams and oral communication. I really believe they care and I find that the therapy is rigorous but not overbearing. They emphasize core performance to support the areas that are injured allowing more time for healing to avoid relapse. The program is adjusted to meet your condition and strength for that day's visit. I have been fighting a recurring swelling problem and they have a good program for strengthening without being too hard on the injured joint. They had a very specific method to reduce the swelling that was far more effective than my last place. Jeff emphasizes proper posture in all of the exercises and explains in detail why he is favoring doing one thing and not another. Your home program is clear and written out with diagrams, reps and limits. This outfit is affiliated with Sequoia Hospital and is no longer a BAK facility anymore. I was told that the hospital did not renew their contract with BAK. I have had good and bad experiences with PT and this place is definitely on the good end of the spectrum. I am really happy to be going there. I feel this place is there to help you heal rather than collect the copay. It is very personal service much more like a good doctors office rather than a fitness gym.

Billing is a nightmare…read more My husband came here for several months for back pain. I went twice for pregnancy related piriformis pain. The physical therapists we saw were great. The problem lies in their billing practices and difficulty paying your bills. My husband never received billing statements after the visits and he tried contacting the billing department multiple times to get a statement so he could pay. Eventually, we received paper statements in the mail with a link to pay online. Entering statement ID # or account # from the statement on the website led to dead ends (no account found). We tried looking up accounts by our demographics etc and nothing came up. When we tried calling the billing department phone # listed to get the "correct" statement ID in order to make a payment, the tele reps were absolutely useless. It took my husband at least 4 phone calls, receiving different statement ID #s each time, none of which worked when we tried to pay online. We were told after other phone calls that they would mail us the statements with corrected information--which we never received. Eventually he was able to get the correct statement ID #s and pay for the visits by calling for what seemed like the millionth time. Months later, he received paper statements trying to charge him $2300 for two visits (our specialist copay is $50 per visit) that he had already paid for. We called billing again and were told the bills would be put "on hold." A year later, he received more paper statements in the mail for those same already paid visits, again for $2300. I'm still dealing with trying to pay for my visits, and just received notice that I was sent to a debt collector for two visit copays, a balance of $100. Just... don't even bother with this place.

Her bedside manner is attentive, knowledgeable, welcoming and "goal"-oriented (she wants you to get better asap!) I went to Julie for mysterious bladder symptoms in 2020 that I suspected were endometriosis symptoms. The various doctors were unable to relieve the symptoms or confirm the cause. Julie did both. Julie treated me for these endo symptoms. I had been experiencing extreme recurring bladder pain for about a year when I went to her. After 3-4 pelvic PT sessions, my bladder pain completely resolved. I did not experience pain for another 2 years, and that was because I went off birth control and my endo got worse. I went back to Julie 2022-2023 for endo symptoms (bladder, bowel and ovulation cramping pain) and infertility. Once again, Julie helped reduce my endo pain significantly. I believe our sessions also improved my body's state for getting pregnant. Above and beyond her PT care, she was incredibly supportive during the particularly vulnerable experience of infertility.

After my last botox treatment in June, my urologist brought up pelvic floor physical therapy to help with the pain and near-constant spasms. Thank goodness I chose Julie from the list of providers in the area! After one session, I had a pain-free day! And the days following were less painful. I finally feel hope of being pain-free at some point. Julie is kind, empathetic, and professional. She really listens and asks great questions. It can feel like "TMI" but the more you share with her, the better she can help you on your healing journey.
