Eric came to our house for the estimate meeting, went over the types of materials he uses, did measurements, calculated pricing, took his time to explain what next steps would look like, and didn't put any pressure to move forward which was nice. On demo day and install day (2 days total), his team showed up on time, wore construction vests, were extremely professional, and made sure everything was cleaned up after they left. I'm the general manager of a large scale HOA, and we had 10 wooden patio covers and trellises that needed work. They helped us get rid of two, and they replaced the other eight with Elitewood Ultra. Several of these were large, curved covers and one was a large gazebo with a gabled roof, which required replacement of the asphalt singled roof as well. Dave did the initial estimation for me, and Louie mostly took over from there, but everyone at Take Cover was knowledgeable and easy to work with. They got the permits for our project with relative ease, and the communication and scheduling were great throughout the completion of the project. I'm so looking forward to not having to repaint them every 4-6 years or worry about any termites like our old wooden covers! It's been several months now, and they are performing and looking great. When it rained shortly after, water came through those openings and caused damage to the ceiling in our dining room below. This was entirely preventable and directly tied to the installation. What's more concerning is what happened next. I've spent weeks trying to get this resolved. I've been in contact with their employee (Elizabeth), who acknowledged the issue and repeatedly said it would be taken care of. Despite those assurances, there has been zero follow-through. Communication has been inconsistent at best, and more recently I've been completely ignored. At this point, the issue is no longer just the damage; it's the lack of accountability. Mistakes happen. Ignoring a customer after causing property damage is a much bigger problem. If you're considering this company, just be aware: the install may go well, but if something goes wrong, you may be on your own. I'm still hoping they step up and resolve this properly, but based on my experience so far, I would proceed with caution.

Saving money turned into a bigger headache. Unfortunately he does not have much integrity in his work and the job was messy and the glass is unsecure. You can tell he used his finger to "smooth" out the silicone caulk. Didn't even try to do a good job. There are holes in the silicone, smeared silicone, and some areas feel shallow like the silicone is barely hanging onto the door. It feels like a small amount of pressure will cause the glass to cave in. Don't make my mistake. Although I "saved" money using him, it was still costly and now I need to repair his work. Another thing was, when initially called him to schedule, he didn't follow up when he said he would and I needed to seek him out for follow-ups and installment. Embarrassing on his behalf. His "showmanship" is more like shitmanship. He doesn't care about doing a good job, he just wants your cash. Look at my photos....ridiculous.

They promised to haul away debris on the second day and then vanished completely. The owner, Jose, has a terrible attitude. Bottom line: they want your money without putting in the work. Reply to your comment Jose: There may be two sides to every story, but when many customers raise the same concerns, it's worth taking a closer look internally. Repeatedly responding to negative reviews by blaming or insulting customers instead of acknowledging issues only reinforces those concerns. This review reflects my actual experience.
