DO NOT GO HERE! I went in for glasses hoping that the See Center could hopefully help me get a prescription that actually worked for me. I spent two hours going through tests that at the time felt off but since they were taking the time I assumed everything was okay. They had the worst selection of glasses and I really wanted to go with them because I wanted to support the business. WISH I HADN'T. They charged me over $300 for my office visit and they got my prescription 100% WRONG. I now have a pair of $600 glasses that are completely useless. They then forgot to schedule my appointment for a fitting in their system which they had confirmed on the phone with me and then treated me AWFUL when I went in for the fitting. How can families afford an office visit like this and not even get an accurate prescription?! I was so mad with how I was treated and what they gave me that I went to Vision Works in the mall for a second opinion. The front desk staff at Vision Works were beyond amazing, the optometrist listened to me and within twenty minutes had my prescription perfect. Vision Works only charged me $95 dollars. read more

I had an eye exam with Dr. Ben Seljestad (who is amazing) and after I received a new prescription I thought I would check out the eyeglasses available at The See Center. Frannie assisted with the selection and she was very nice. She provided me with a register receipt for the glasses and told me that I would receive a detailed receipt when I picked the glasses up, however I did not receive a detailed receipt - not at the time of pick-up, not mailed or emailed. When I received the text that I needed to call and make an appointment for pick-up, I did just that and I was told to just come by, that I didn't need an appointment. I asked if I would get a fitting if I just dropped by and I was told that I would. I live in south Gardnerville, traveling to north Carson City, so I wanted to be sure the 40 minute trip wasn't a bust. I called ahead the day I was going to pick up my glasses and was told again to just come by and I was given the time they go to lunch so I wouldn't come by while they were at lunch. When I arrived, there was another gentleman picking up his glasses. When he got his he commented that "they just hand them to you and say have a nice day". I didn't fully understand what he was saying until it was my turn. The very nice employee at the front desk brought out my eyeglasses and I asked if someone needs to check them on me to be sure everything is right - how the progressive lens lines up - if the nose guards fit correctly for long wear, etc. She said it wasn't necessary. The glasses I selected are frameless (as in NO FRAME - just the side arms) with a progressive lens and they cost more than $900. I received a 30% discount because I am a patient of Dr. Seljestad, which sounds wonderful, but the glasses still cost over $600. The problem I have is that I didn't get a detailed receipt or a fitting or the courtesy of a follow-up call to see how the glasses are working out. I'm definitely going back to Costco the next time I need eyeglasses - they have affordable pricing and they include excellent customer service with your purchase. read more

I can't say enough good things about everyone at this practice. I was referred to them by Carson Tahoe ER due to an injury to my eye I sustained during a surgery. Not only did they get me in as soon as possibly, they were all so kind and accommodating given the situation I was in. She is amazin, I have had her take care of my eyes for years. Luke, the Manager is awful. I paid my whole bill for exam and glassed a bit above $700. My insuance paid a bit over $84. My glasses are heavy and I cannot keep them on all day. Luke said he filed insurance for my glasses, which he did not. So I did. My reimbursement has NOT been received. I called to ask if I bought a second pair glasses would he give me a discount. He returned my call after work hours, I called him back and , of course, they were closed. Soo I go to one of a several other optical places to get my second pair of glasses. His customer service is zero. read more

I have been a customer of Dr. Corbit-Drakulich since 2006. I originally ordered a pair of eyeglasses and received OK service. The summer of 2013 I finally decided to lose my eyeglasses and opt for Lasik eye surgery. I went to an outside company in hopes of getting the surgery. I learned I had an eye disease which needed to be corrected and was referred back to Dr. Corbit-Drakulich. I returned to Dr. Corbit-Drakulich for help in correcting my eyes. Dr. Corbit-Drakulich's husband, Luke (Office Manager), attempted to sell me another set of eyeglasses. I opted for hard corrective contact lenses and needed to come back for an eye exam. After returning for for my contact exam, I was a little bummed when Dr. Corbit-Drakulich advised they didn't have my contacts in stock and they had to be ordered. I was then led back to Luke after showing interest in Oakley sunglasses they had displayed in the retail portion of their establishment. I ended up purchasing a pair of custom Oakley sunglasses with an additional lense. These had to be ordered as well. A short time later, I was called by Luke and advised my sunglasses had arrived. I questioned the availability of my contacts. They were still not available and I was advised they'd arrive shortly. I decided to pick up my sunglasses and pay for them using my Care Credit account (or so I thought). Payments were made to Care Credit and the line of credit extended was paid in full. Approximately 1 month later, I called Dr. Corbit-Drakulich's office and inquired about the availability of my contacts. Still, my contacts were not available and again was advised they should arrive shortly. I began to call Dr. Corbit-Drakulich's office on a weekly basis for another month, finally giving up on the process. At this point I felt as if I was getting the "runaround". I had only purchased sunglasses. On 01-15- 2015, approximately 1 1/2 years later, I received a collection notice indicating Dr. Corbit-Drakulich's business (the See Center) as the collection account. I contacted the See Center and spoke with Luke. I explained the above to Luke. Luke advised he needed to investigate the matter and he'd contact me on their next business day. Luke responded with an email. The following text is word for word, his response: Ben,  I was able do some further research, and I did find that you had ordered a pair of sunglasses from Oakley, which were custom plano lenses with an extra pair of lenses.  I was unable to find your phone number so, hopefully, this will get to you.  Please give me a call with any questions Luke  I responded to Luke's email with: Luke, I absolutely ordered a pair of Oakley sunglasses through your company. These sunglasses were paid for using Care Credit. I believe we discussed this on 1-16-2014 and you were in agreement. Further, I explained I had all intentions of purchasing hard contacts needed for help correct my Keratoconus as I wanted to receive Lasik. To date, I have only received one pair of Oakley sunglasses with the additional lense from your company (which have been paid for)... nothing further. I left a message on the number you provided. Can you please contact me at the number you have on file as well as the number I gave you on 1-16-2014... (I provided my number) So far I am very displeased with your company and the lack of professionalism displayed. I did not receive the service nor product I expected from you. Yet, you sent my account to a collection agency.  I hope you and/or your company makes this right, (Signed my named) After my email response, I received a phone call from Luke telling me I ordered and picked up not only my sunglasses but the pair of eyeglasses I opted out of for the contact lenses. I explained to Luke that I never received the eyeglasses nor did I ever want them. I specifically wanted hard contact lenses and scheduled an appointment accordingly. I knew I hadn't received any eyeglasses and told Luke I would need a signed receipt of the eyeglasses (knowing I never signed for the receipt of the fictional eyeglasses). Luke advised he couldn't provide the receipt and told me he would keep me in collections until I could prove I never received them. Further, to help the issue, I offered to pay the $225.00 if Luke could provide me the eyeglasses. Luke declined and told me I already had them then told me he was with a customer and hung up. I am extremely displeased with the See Center as well as the Drakulich's. I called and asked to speak specifically to Dr. Corbit-Drakulich and explained the actions I would take to remove this collection from credit history as well as documentation through the BBB. The staff and products are great but the service is slow! Even with an appointment expect at least a half hour wait which is not okay!

I have enjoyed being a patient of Dr. Corbit-Drakulich due to her expertise and through examination. I have had an un-diagnosed eye condition that my previous doctor had never found. Now, I wear better sunglasses and wear sunglasses more often. I want to take care of my eyes and I have the peace of mind that Dr. Corbit-Drakulich can help me and my family in all eye related matters. I would only refer friends and family to Dr. Corbit-Drakulich and I gladly drive from Sparks to Carson City to experience her superior service. read more

I was sent over to The See Center by my primary care doctor, with a bit of an emergency. There was no doctor in that day, but Luke called around town and got me an appointment with an ophthalmologist within an hour. My condition was evaluated and is being treated accordingly. What I assumed would be an hours long (or days long) wild goose chase to find someone to examine me was super easy thanks to Luke!!! I can't speak for the medical treatment at this facility but would return for help if I needed it. read more

Our family has been customers of the See Center for many years, until last year. Last January 2015, I had an exam and ordered glasses, a week later my daughter had an exam, and the infamous Luke treated her like crap because she was going to purchase glasses through family friend, and sent her home in tears. He would not take or return my numerous attempts to call and complain, I also never received the glasses I ordered, or notice that they were ready. I assumed our business with them was completed, and no longer wanted. This year, 2016, I went for my annual exam elsewhere, only to find out Luke had billed for the frames he never delivered, it took 3 days and almost a dozen calls by the insurance company to get Luke to answer the phone, and admit he never delivered the glasses. Our family really loved working with Dr Corbit-Drakulich, but dealing with Luke is a complete deal breaker, he has always had terrible people skills, and probably should not be in a customer service job. Dr Corbit-Drakulich would be best served to get rid of that jerk and put someone with manners and people skills in the position. If Luke left, we would definitely come back as customers, Just to add insult to injury, they sent me to collections for the $25 co-pay on the glasses they never delivered, nice touch eh? read more

I love The See Center! Dr. Janet and Luke have always treated me and my family very well over the years and I highly recommend their practice. I have purchased eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contacts and have never had any issues until recently. The Oakley eyeglasses that I purchased approximately one year ago broke. Quite honestly these particular frames were the worst I had ever owned, at no fault of The See Center. I went in and explained to Luke that if there was any way that he could get Oakley to switch frames for me under warranty that would be great, and I showed him some other frames that they had in case Oakley would come through. Oakley wouldn't warrant the old glasses but Luke went ahead and had my lenses transferred to the new frames that I liked at absolutely no charge to me. Awesome customer service and I really appreciate that they went above and beyond to take care of me and make me happy! Janet Corbit-Drakulich made the right choice to open her clinic in Carson City. With the poor quality of service provided, it is very unlikely that they can survive in any other major cities where there are more competitions. I brought my 8 years old son to visit the See center in 2015. I found Janet Corbit-Drakulich rigid, ignorant, and arrogant. She is very impatient with my son. In stead of being considered of our interest, like any good optometric clinic would, I felt like the See Center just want to get my money in any ways possible. I also found the facilities in the See Center outdated. In fact, I had never visited an optometric clinic with so litter facilities for the last 30 years in my life. As for the office manager, Luke, I have only one description for him - rude. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Corbit-Drakulich for almost 10 years, not long after she first opened the See Center in Carson City. I've seen Janet and her husband, Luke, grow the See Center into a thriving optometry business, as well as expand their family over the years. I first started visiting her for routine annual exams and for updating my prescription glasses and contacts. Her examinations have always been thorough and she has always taken the time to explain any issues that arise. I have never felt rushed or that she was distracted or disengaged during my examination. I began suffering from painful recurrent corneal abrasions about four years ago, and Janet was the first person I went to see. She diagnosed the condition, referred me to an ophthalmologist and closely consulted with him, and ultimately advised me of my treatment options. I chose to undergo laser surgery three years ago. Janet performed all of the pre-op and post-op examinations in close consultation with the laser clinic and everything turned out wonderfully. No more pain and 20/20 vision in both eyes! I moved to Reno a few years ago, but I still make the drive to Carson City for my annual eye exams at the See Center. I couldn't ask for a more capable and professional doctor to care for my vision. read more
