We stopped in after shopping before heading back to our cruise ship. Friends are regulars here when in town and rave extremely high about the food and service. We weren't disappointed we all had a great time and it was busy but there was a table inside while we waited outside for a table. The chicken sandwich was so delicious we all got one. Love how the chips come with a side of French onion dip. The chicken sandwich was so perfectly seasoned and tender and loved the pineapple. Wow! Side Street Pub not only offers delicious food but the staff is just phenomenal! This is the spot where you want to eat, trust me! We came for lunch with a group of ten and they easily accommodated us on the spot. Our waitress had us seated and drinks-in-hand in no time flat! Which was great because it took us a minute on the menu - everything looked and sounded good! I had the Fish Tacos and they really hit the spot; lite but filling! While eating we were surprised with a round of complimentary shots delivered by the owner herself, which really made us feel appreciated. (Funny story, we ended up running into her again at Sea Salt which was fun!) You could tell that she takes pride in her restaurant and it shows! The location and vibes of the spot, in a chill alley where you can just hang and relax, made it so we didn't want to leave. But we did stop by the next day just to say hi! We were just taking a little bit of a respite. We'll walk around town and we stopped at one of the chairs outside not the pub chairs, but we didn't realize the owner started speaking to us and welcome over we had a nice conversation with him so we thought why not let's stop for a drink because we weren't really hungry. We had a nice time. Beautiful location seems like a lovely staff and great people and really nice place to look at the owners are from Arizona and they made this their home and love it here and treat everybody who comes through with respect and it shows that they really appreciate their customers so thank you for that. This place is by far my favorite place to have a drink in St. Thomas. We were walking around Charlotte Amelie taking in the architecture and window shopping when I said let's find a place to have a drink. We happened to stumble upon this place and I am glad we did. We ended up talking to the owner for a good while and what a great man he is. He had so many stores to tell us. I loved that! I love this place so much. Fantastic lunch in St. Thomas. Top shelf margaritas are reasonable at $12 each and wonderful. A little surprised by chips and salsa for $16, but there were a ton of chips, and the main salsa and warm bean dip were great. My wife really liked her cheese quesadillas, and my fish tacos were the best I've had and perhaps some of the better tacos I've ever consumed. Wonderful service by Alexa. We needed to kill time and Carlos on the corner recommended this spot. It was perfect for what we wanted. Bella was a fabulous server and I told her we had narrowed down to a few choices. She recommended the pulled pork nachos and it was delicious. The fresh pulled pork makes you not care that the nachos have cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese. I also ordered a painkiller and it was one of the best I've ever had. The extra shot of rum might have contributed and probably the reason i bought some jewelry after. All the food that passed us looked great.. fish tacos..a good sized BLT. This will definitely be a place we come to when we are in St. Thomas. read more

Man where do I start. We are a family of 23 that got off one of the ships and stumbled upon this place. We were STARVING. Some of us go here before others but we all ended up here after about 30 minutes. There was a few ships so we knew it was going to be a wait. The ones that go there first got their food after an hour of waiting and paid for their ticket and left . The rest of us ordered after they got their food. There were 3 tables of us and we were moving around trying to get situated. It was all one ticket so we didn't think it was a problem. We had beers, cokes, and waited patiently for our food. My sister had to ask the waitress 3 times for her margarita after noticing the table next to us had margaritas before her given they had gotten there 45 minutes after us. After about 45 minutes 3 of our plates came out. We waited another 30 minutes and asked how much longer it would be. The waitress assured us they were working on our order now. 1 hour after they had brought the other food and 2 since ordering a guy who seemed like the owner came to our table and notified us the waitress was new and our food was never put in he also complained about us moving around the tables but again it was all one ticket and all next to each other. Yall we were LIVID. I completely understand that things happen but how is 1/3 of the food going to come out if she didn't put the order through? We had 5 kids that waited 2 hours to eat. We were so upset and frustrated that we had to be back on the boat in less than 2 hours and most of our day had been wasted there. He apologized while also blaming us and was ready to charge us for drinks. We honestly couldn't believe it. It was 136$ for drinks and we were even more mad. We argued back and forth and he said either you pay or I am calling the police. And stated he was not eating the total. We are business owners ourselves and understand the importance of making right to the customer. That's what was so frustrating. The new waitress never even came to apologize or anything. We actually stopped here to get some coffee but ended up getting everything BUT coffee... But it was all good... They make excellent tacos here. We had the fish, shrimp, and pork versions. Kinda took longer than we had hoped, but that was because they were making everything fresh (which as we came to find out is the norm on the island). The fish and shrimp were the best in my opinion. All the tacos were a bit sweeter than I would prefer (rum based sauces I think), but they were still very tasty overall. They also gave us a taste of their famous bushwacker cocktail while we waited. Very nice people. The food is pricey but that's more a reflection of the location. I suspect you'll want to stop here if you're only in town for a short period of time. We took a food and history tour around to meet some locals the following day. We got near the area and a voice in my head, hoped that we might stumble upon this spot during our tour. Oh my god!!! This is the best food ever. I got the Ahi Tuna Tacos. The picture show 2, but there are actually 3. This is probably the best thing I have ever eaten. They made me a super spicy Bloody Mary that they serve with bacon and jalapeños garlic stuffed olives. I asked for extra spicy and they did not disappoint. My son just wanted cheese quesadillas and they made it with so much cheese it was dripping out. My wife got the taco salad and kept going on about how tasty it was. We learned how to make Painkillers, an island favorite, and had the pork tacos. Pork Tacos ($18) - So good. Apparently, the origin of "American BBQ" is the Caribbean, and you can tell it here. The barbecued pulled pork is so juicy and the sweet mango chili sauce adds the perfect touch of sweet and spicy. It reminded me of similar Asian sweet chili sauces. Service was amazing too! Had amazing experiences! We saw it had good reviews prior to walking past it. So we decided to stop for a quick drink. We got greeted by Kim who welcomed us with a free shot for our honeymoon. Then Chuck came over to our table and talked to us as we nursed our Bushwhacker(which was great). We decided to get the ahi tuna tacos and side street burger.
