Here for a girls weekend and stopped by for lunch. The food was delicious, and fresh! The blackened mahi mahi tacos were absolutely amazing! Service was good and staff were very friendly. The restaurant itself isn't fancy, but it doesn't need to be! This is a great, no-fuss joint.

    Our entrees

My kids and I went here recently. The overall experience was a letdown in multiple ways. Coming from San Diego, I thought I would try the East Coast version of fish tacos. It took about 20 minutes for the food to come, even though there were only four other people inside. No biggie though, as things sometimes take time. The mahi tacos came out with what appeared to be shredded mahi, instead of the usual steaks that I'm used to. The beans were incredibly runny and some odd purple color. My daughter, who often orders mac & cheese, ordered that here. It came out incredibly soupy and appeared as if they used Kraft and had simply mixed in twice the recommended amount of milk. Ultimately, the manager refunded our purchase of the Mac and cheese. He stated that they ordered a new type of cheese that didn't really work out. But, why would you then serve it to customers if it didn't meet your standards?

First time here. It's directly across from The Chicken or The Egg & Freds Beach Haven Diner. It's recently remodeled and the place has a distinct shore vibe. The food and service is excellent. - ------------------------ Another year and here we are in 2019

    Monday pizza special pricing

Oooohhhhh yeah I'm a fan! Feeling like dins in on a rainy Monday we decided pizza takeout was in order and decided to give The Shack a try for the first time. Called in the order, 15 minutes to pick up, arrived, pizza ready, out the door we were! We were pleasantly surprised to find out that they run a special on pies on Monday's so score for us, and score for all that read this. Now the pie itself, even though they got my toppings wrong, you can't really mess up pizza bc well, it's pizza, our pie was DELICIOUS! Great sauce. Plentiful amount of toppings. And such a unique crust that was thin yet still chewy. Super huge fan. Will surely order again. Especially on a Monday!

Florentine Wrap Grilled chicken with sautéed spinach and a garlic provolone cheese.

Love this local spot! It's open year round and has so many different types of food so that you're hardly bored. My go to is the grilled chicken Florentine wrap. They happen to be the only place in the area that doesn't just have fried heavy food. Also love how nice the girls are that work here. They always make you smile.

Good aioli however the pasta was soggy and had no flavor and the chicken tacos would be way better with guac. The rice was quality too

The young man who was our server was very friendly and helpful. The decor was seaside diner. Ordered at our table...a large western style omelette, fluffy and full of the extras, a French Toast egg sandwich (clean plate club), a plate with a pancake, over easy eggs, home fries and toast, all cooked perfectly. I had the triple decker grilled cheese with bacon and tomato (I think it was called the Happy Waitress), so good, bacon perfect. Recommended!

The flavors were a little bland and the chicken was cut too thick, which made it less enjoyable to eat. The home fries that came with it were also disappointing -- they seemed reheated rather than freshly made, and just didn't have that crisp, flavorful kick you hope for at a breakfast spot. My friends had different dishes, but their reactions were similar -- nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We all left feeling like the food was a little underwhelming overall. The bathroom was serviceable but not especially clean, and while the service was fine, it wasn't anything that stood out as particularly attentive or warm. On the positive side, the decor was pleasant and gave the place a nice atmosphere. Honestly, that was probably the highlight of the experience for me. If Yelp allowed half-star ratings, I'd give it a 3.5 just for the vibe. All in all, Chicken & Egg isn't a bad place, but it didn't really impress. With so many options around, it's not somewhere I'd rush back to, but I wouldn't call it a total miss either -- more middle of the road.

Our server Amy was wonderful and really made the meal. She was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu to us and answer all our questions. Never once did she make us feel rushed and we were there for several hours. We sampled what felt like the entire appetizer portion of the menu because why not! Raw oysters, roasted oysters, tuna crackers, octopus, clam chowder croquettes...You name it. We had it. Hands down these were the best and freshest raw oysters I've ever had. The New England clam chowder croquettes and tuna crackers were other standouts to me. I could have made a meal of these alone. When it came to mains, again no surprise everything was incredible. The crab cakes were a hit. Not an ounce of filler in these. All crab. We had a bit of a later rez so we were able to enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the bay. The perfect end to a perfect meal. The views are unmatched here and the atmosphere is a bonus. Parker's has quickly risen to one of my favorite restaurants on the island.

You come here for the seafood and it doesn't disappoint. We had the lobster bake which had a mountain of clams and muscles. It could have used some broth in the bowl to keep from drying out. Lastly, the garlic Dungeness crabs - the menu description is spot on - get dirty with this one. Take the bib and have plenty of napkins on hand! Very garlic forward in a good way. Everyone talked about the ranch dressing, not sure what the hype is. It's definitely better with the balsamic opposed to separately. Love the overall atmosphere and will be back.
