Shopping online is a definite drawback especially for Macy's now. It's hit or miss. If I order one…read moreor two things, I'm going to end up returning every other item. Quality is very low, prices are high even on sales. Recently bought a comforter, Ralph Lauren, on sale, thinking I'd get the same or similar quality we've had since the 80's. Got a Box that smelled like excrement. Really bad, so cut it up and threw out as soon as possible. Comforter smells too, not wrapped in plastic. SHIPPED from INDIA! Went to warehouse in North Carolina, then Ohio, then here via UPS. I kid you not, it absolutely REEKS. The striped pattern is faded, not the vivid color online. Go to the store and shop. Not there or unavailable, you are better off. You can inspect what you're getting. This comforter is going straight to an outside laundromat, no way I'm putting it in our washing machine. EXCREMENT! Found some dried on outside bottom of the box, this is awful. AVOID any description that states, "Imported." There's your clue that they don't even carry it here in the US.

It has been my go-to store for clothing for close to three decades but now I can't shop there anymore because they don't carry clothing in my size. Yet the petite section remains. There's a word for that...what is it...oh yes-discrimination. Macy's is openly discriminating against women in larger bodies. And their Backstage section is low quality, which is where I've been directed to shop, as well as online. But online shopping isn't the same. This is disappointing news and I will be cancelling my Macy's card.

Saddest excuse for a jewelry store I've ever seen in my entire life…read more 1: professionalism: The employees were the most unprofessional, rude and lethargic individuals I've ever seen in any place of business. The tall skinny, sound cloud rapper Esq individual (The one with the really bad mumble and the perm you cannot miss him) was borderline slumped over he looked like he'd been awake for months or on some serious pain killers. 2: Terrible selection. I asked the young man Chris (Goofy "Radio"-like individual with the bow Tye) what the most expensive yellow gold marquise engagement ring they carried was. This genius brings me a rose gold subpar ring with a pear diamond. How are you that bad at listening to customers? Appearance: The design of the store is tacky and completely 1970s. Who on gods green earth decided that a coffee stained burgundy carpet would look good in a modern jewelry store? Utter eye sore. Save yourself the trouble and the gas. Avoid this place like the plague. Go for family businesses and avoid franchise jewelers. I'd give zero stars if possible

We will never, ever purchase anything from Zales ever again. My husband bought my engagement ring…read morefrom here, and after 2 years of having the ring it has already had to be repaired twice! (From the diamonds almost falling out!) And then, after a horrendous experience with their "custom" rings department, they seemed to have misplaced my own personal diamonds for MONTHS. They fail to explain that they send out any diamonds or materials to a "mystery jeweler" and will not disclose to you where it is located. We spent months fighting with them to try and get my own personal diamonds back. After everything with them we had another engagement ring made by another jeweler so we never have to deal with their poor quality again. Please, spare yourself the time and money and just avoid Zales.

Then I over heard other female employees talking behind my back saying there is weed merchandise all over the store as if I was moron. Way to make someone not feel welcome at all! This isn't the 1st time something like this has happen. The only employees I ever had good experience with was the male employees. I feel sorry that they have to work with females that get jealous of well dressed, classy women like myself. I guess if you dress like a bum, you'll be accepted at this store by female employees but if you are in business attire clothing you are shun by them.

I have no idea what shopping sub-category Spencer's (formerly Spencer's Gifts) belongs in, partly…read morebecause its inventory keeps changing. Some of that is seasonal, and some of it is either just trying to keep up with the times or trying to figure out what sells. I shop here more often the last 3 months of the year for Halloween supplies (when they have them) or novelties for Yankee Swaps at Christmas. It's also good for party supplies and some adult supplies, and now they have a lot of bachelorette party supplies. But right now, for example, during the last week of August, the front of the store is loaded with back to school supplies such as backpacks. People still buy posters??? It's always a fun store to browse, even if you don't plan to buy anything.
