My stylist was Sara McAllister (hope I spelled it correctly). She looked at what I wanted & what I had then assured me she could do it. After a marvelous neck massage she shampooed my hair (and gave me a wonderful hand massage) & put some treatment on it to help with the dryness I seem to have. Then it was back to the styling chair. She kept me turned away from the mirror throughout the cutting & blow dry. When she let me see the back I was speechless. It's been five years since I wrote my last review for Allure Salon so I decided to write an update…read more There was a period of time that Ann stopped cutting hair. When that happened I tried a different stylist at Allure but wasn't totally satisfied. That left me shopping the area for a new salon. Others were just ok. Several weeks ago I called Allure Salon and was pleasantly surprised that Ann is cutting hair again. Yay, I booked an appointment for a shampoo and wet cut. Ann did a fantastic job of massaging my scalp while washing my hair. I showed her a picture of the approximate length and style and told her I just wanted a wash and wear hair style. She got right to work and worked miracles with my overgrown mop. Yay, I'm sold once again on making Ann my stylist. Since she runs the business side of this company she has decreased her time on being a stylist but I perfectly understand not burning the candle at both ends. I know to schedule six weeks in advance to be sure to get on Ann's schedule. Ann is woohoo as good as it gets when cutting and styling hair!

Even though the Salon no longer has spa services, there are still some small add-ons for customers to make us feel that much better--I love getting my face waxed or indulging in an Aveda Plant Peel! The girls have also donated to charitable causes multiple times, any time I have asked. This review is for quality of lash extensions only. All other aspects of this business are 5 stars…read more After a few months of getting lash extensions here, my natural lashes started crumbling. Natural lashes have a 4-6 week shed cycle but in my 4+ years of having extensions, I started seeing gaps more frequently after coming to Skintuition. Additionally, during two of the appointments, lash artist, Iliana, glued multiple lashes to my lower lid and had to rip them off. Ouch!! I noticed that the quality of the application was poor when I could not run a spoolie through my lashes. Spoolie got caught on large clumps of glue and would make lashes turn up, fall over, or just fall out (within 1 week). Appropriate retention rarely held past 1 week. I'm leaving this lash artist frustrated mainly because my natural lashes are now weak, I have gaps, and I'm not able to get an appropriate full-set applied for another 4-6 weeks due to the damage caused. I was forced to get Iliana's work removed and evaluated because I left feeling like maybe I was the problem. Maybe my lashes were having issues holding her work. She claimed that I was the only person having these issues.... Nope. The new lash artist (14+ years experience) advised me that lliana's extension quality had caused a significant amount of damage to my natural lashes. I would understand if Skintuition was charging model prices for this quality of work, but to pay 100+ dollars for volume fills only to have to return (on multiple occasions) 2-3 days later to have them filled again!!! Is ridiculous. I've uploaded photos of Iliyana's work (only 2 weeks post full-volume set!) to show the large clumps of glue, extensions that pulled out my natural lashes but still held on while stuck to the other ends of extensions!, extensions stuck together, and the gaps in my naturals. After having experience with 10+ artists and over 4 years of experience with extensions, I'm only leaving this review to spread awareness of my experience because this work must be supervised and reevaluated. *And please don't respond asking me if I performed my aftercare correctly. This work has nothing to do with aftercare.*
