Love the ambiance! Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was EXCELLENT! We had relatives visiting from California; they thoroughly enjoyed it!

A wonderful lunch experience; snake Pit Burger was awesome; tater tots were as delicious as any we've had (and we've had our share)! A short drive east from Lake Coeur d'Alene ... worth every mile and minute to get there!

A group of friends and I have been going to Kingston, Idaho to go camping and floating for a few years. Each and every time we drive by The Snake Pit, on our way to the campground, we say "next year we need to try that place." Well, this was the year! We were able to try it on two different days (Friday and Sunday). , on our way to the campground, we made a quick stop and just had a few beverages at the bar. The bartender was friendly and efficient. She made our drinks and got them to us quickly. That was great, because we still needed to get everything setup at the campsite. Their prices for the cocktails were really reasonable. , on our way back to Spokane we left later than we normally do and decided to give them a try for lunch. When we walked in Sunday shortly after opening, at about 11:15, we were quickly greeted and sat at our table. It was probably 10-15 minutes before our server came over and brought us some waters. While waiting to order, I ran out to my car to get a long sleeve shirt, because it was a little chilly where I was sitting. When I came back in, my friend informed me she overheard the hostess tell some other potential customers that it would be (about) a 15 minute wait for a table and probably 40 minutes to get food after you order. This was not communicated to us directly, but we made the decision to wait (total time at the restaurant was about an hour and a half). If you're in a hurry, you may not want to stop here. If you have time, then it's a neat place. I ordered their Trout Po'Boy with a side salad and it was wonderful. Something you don't get everywhere and made the wait worth it. The side salad was nice, but it came tossed in the dressing, so if you don't want that, you'll want to ask that they put the dressing on the side. My friend ordered a 1/4 pound cheese burger and added sautéed mushrooms and onions. She also ordered French Fries as her side. She said the fries were tasty and their fry sauce was nice. They did forget the mayo on her burger, but she was able to improvise with the fry sauce.

This was BY FAR the best BBQ we've ever had. My sons and I stopped randomly on our first family vacation to try some Rocky Mountain Oysters. We were not disappointed. The food exceeded our expectations. We'd come from Washington to Wyoming and stopped here on the way back and our waitress was our favorite on our whole trip. I'm such a perk for not getting her name but she was wonderful and kind. My little guy was so impressed by his food he demanded the chef be praised! The whole building was a vibe and experience, inside and out! We will make this a tradition every time we travel east!

Probably the best Prime Rib I've ever had! This place is super casual and you can come right off the trails or the river without judgement.

Though it's a bit off of the freeway (maybe 8-10 minutes) The Snake Pit is well worth the stop. It's a little rustic and a little off the beaten path but the food was spectacular! My husband had the trout po'boy (fantastic) and I had the burger with the bacon and jalapeno jam. Be warned, the jalapeno jam is SPICY, but so delicious. The bacon is chopped and then cooked so you get some in every bite! I would maybe avoid the onion rings, they were a little doughy, but the fries were spectacular. Even on a week day at 2:30 in the afternoon this place was reasonably busy. The waitress was super efficient and really sweet. Our bill was not expensive at all and we were really glad that we told the time to stop here.

Delightfully tacky . That's the best way to describe this place. If you want some good casual comfort food, this is your place.

I did not notice any outdoor seating. They did have a huge cat on the front porch entrance.

The fry sauce was top of the line and the CFS was up there in quality. Momma's fish and chips were cooked without excess oil and I believe they were cod. She did substitute sweet potato fries that seemed to please her, but be aware there is an upcharge. Our friend had a standard fare hamburger with the tasty high quality beef that was hanging over the edges of the bun. The beer selections were limited, but well varied so you will find something you like. My point is that while this is an off the beaten path eatery, it is worth the detour!

There are some wonderful pictures of the old miners that the building has been dedicated to. We came a little after lunch time but there were still several tables with diners. They also have a nice bar and additional outdoor dining. Our waitress, Liz A. was fantastic. She was quick to great us and take our orders. When we were ready to leave, hubby wanted a shirt and she brought out one to make sure the size and color was right. She also gave us a bag for our to-go boxes as the meals were big. And a plastic cup with a lid and straw for fresh ice tea to go. And to the food - we enjoyed every bite. We both had the black and blue wraps. They are big and loaded with plenty of delicious tender meat, veggies, and blue cheese. I had tater tots that were perfectly crispy and Liz brought out a big condiment tray with squeeze bottles for them. He ordered the Blue Cheese Garlic Fries - which were also crispy and packed with yumminess. Very happy we stopped here. They are currently open 7 days a week and you will not be disappointed

CLBP is just on the north side of 90 adjacent to the Wallace RV park. The inside is very comfortable and inviting. It was quite busy at noon on a Saturday afternoon so service was a little slow. No worries though especially since there was a crowd because of the ladies homesteading gathering being in town. Weird but I didn't go with a flight this time. I started with a pint of the Pulaski Porter while SWPFTD went with the Mountain Top amber. Both were quite tasty. I ordered the French dip sandwich which was fantastic. SWPFTD had the Reuben which was also very good. Yes, I ate part of her sandwich. I wrapped up with a pint of the milk stout on nitro and SWPFTD had the blood orange IPA. The IPA didn't work for me but I never love the blood Orange. The milk stout was really good though. CLBP is a great stop in Wallace!
