Half the washers were out of order and the ones that worked took forever. Machines ate two of my quarters and nobody was around to help. Place was dirty, smelled like mildew, and the dryers barely got warm. Wasted $15 and 2 hours. Won't be back. read more

This place is easy to miss but now that I know it exist, I definitely will make it a purpose to revisit. The soapy ferret has murals of ferrets all it, really sticking to the theme of the place. There's a few parking spaces. Maybe 3 dedicated to the place and the 5ish others seem to be dedicated to the other businesses in the small little plaza. So getting there early is key. If you're out of luck then there's a neighborhood down the road or across a busy street and you'll need to play frogger to get there. There is move than 100 machines in the place. 80 or so are washers and there are over 20 dryers. There are two sides. The left side when you enter is primarily used by staff for fluff and folds and there are extras for general use. The right side is for the public. It opens at 5am and last wash I believe is 830pm so it has great hours. It's open 7 days a week. It was generally clean too. The hours is the reason why I give it a four stars. read more

ROACHES! this place is vile. Absolutely disgusting. I used vinegar to disinfect my clothes in the tub and a large roach came out of the machine and died. I unfortunately had started another load and had to wait for my stuff to finish washing. I am so worried I'm going to bring them home with me! Never been so disgusted in my life. We have used their wash and fold service a few times now. They always do an amazing job. Everything is perfectly folded or hung up on hangers. They are super friendly and sometimes get our clothes ready in less than 48 hrs with no rush fee. Highly recommend. read more

it's a good place to wash, but when it comes to asking the ladies in charge to give you a refund for only one machine that you clearly see it's not adding soap they suddenly tell you that they can't do anything about it and to add more detergent. so if I overload the machine with detergent then you will give me a refund. it really sucks to pay twice for two different machine just to get your clothes clean. read more

Since my work hours are off, I am always trying to do or find stuff open late at night. Again, I was an adventure to find a late night laundromat. The soapy ferret is located in Linda Vista, which is actually a pretty nice quiet neighborhood.. I still like the old-school feel of using quarters and washing machine. They also accept credit card. This location has an ATM. Almost all the machines were in working order. The place overall was very very clean. I was helped by Diana "D". She really did keep the place nice and tidy. Love the fact that the laundromat closes late so I'm able to do laundry after work. The two Staff ladies that I have talked to are super nice! One of them saw me struggling with grass stains on my son's Jean's, she offered to help put some stain remover product, and was really nice about it. Never have had any issues here. read more

They did a great job, they have a service where they will actually do my wash load for me. I had a giant comforter that was new and full of lint. They took care of it in their giant machine, soap of my choice, and it was done the next day. Great prices too. read more

This is such a clean laundromat! I came here on Christmas to do loads of laundry. The prices are better than most laundromats I've gone to. The big machines make it easy to do large loads. Not to mention they have smaller machines for the small loads too. I already had payrange on my phone which helps with wireless payment. You could use quarters too if you want. There is some parking spots in the front of the storefront but it is right off the busy road. If you want more safe parking, there is a lot right next door for free. Diana was amazing!!! I walked in around 8:45pm under the impression that it was a 24 hour laundromat, but it actually closed at 10:00pm and the last start time was 8:30pm. Diana offered to stay a little later and allow us to wash our MANY loads and make sure they were all dry. absolutely amazing customer service!!! read more

Best laundry mat in linda vista, i always come to use the dryers and theres always one open for me. Diana taught us how to deposit the quarters with the right flick of the wrist so they dont get jammed up, super helpful and very kind. Thursdays and Sundays they stay open late and aren't usually packed, last wash at 8:30 and try to start your dry by 11:30, theyre super flexible just dont be a dick and show up last minute like some people read more

Our washer was packed because we were in the middle of a household move and my son got a stomach bug. Within a day I had all our linen and clothes that we had set apart dirty. I went in mid day and asked if I could have same-day service. Without making me feel like a burden, the lady at the desk asked her boss if she could work extra hours to get the task completed. I let her know that the items were soiled and to be careful for her health and she was so understanding. I had them clean and folded that evening. I did my own laundry that same night and used their machines. I had read that they took cards which was a relief because I didn't have cash. It was even more convenient because you could pay through an app and pay with Apple Pay. Absolutely impressed with their cleanliness, status of their machines, and customer service. I wanted a laundromat to wash some heavier canvas items that I didn't want to run in my home washing machine, so I'm not someone who uses laundromats very much. I just wanted a place that was clean, easy to use and had open machines. The Soapy Ferret was perfect! They have an app that you can use to pay for the load which makes it super easy. The machines ran well and my items were clean dry. The attendants were really friendly and helpful. I will use them again if I need some heavier items washed. read more

I rarely need to go to the laundromat but when I do I come here. The establishment is always clean and the machines work every single time. What makes it even easier is that most the machines have an app you can use to track the time of your load. All machines accept coins for those who don't want to use an app to pay. Horrible customer service. My washer wAs stuck at " 1 minute" for almost 25 minutes. Which affected me getting my clothes in the dryer on time. I'm a mom of 4 and work full time so after work is the only time I have to do my laundry. & the second the clock hit 10 pm she made me take my clothes out of the dryer sopping wet. Recently my place's laundromat is out of commission and the property management fails to inform the residents..and I was going on a month or two without clean clothes....and the helper I had in the past assisted me with the laundry. I paid them for the expense. They weren't professional like this place. I review about 2-3 places before settle with this one. My selection- they actually picked up the phone. Rest went to voice mail or pre-recorded messages. No person on the line. I am a happy camper now. Each my clothes are fresh and cleaned. It's wonderful to have a clean clothes~~~!! Machines all work properly. Never had an issue with clothes remaining soiled/dirty. Always clean. Customer bathroom with no hassle entry. Service was above my expectations. Best laundromat in San Diego. I have gone to at least 12-15 in this city and nothing compares to this place! There are plenty of washers (huge/medium/small) plenty of dryers (huge/medium/small), you can use quarters, and some of the machines also take payment through the app "Pay Range" which is convenient if you don't want to pull money from ATM and be charged. There are vending machines with everything you need to wash your clothes and drinks as well. Facility is clean with EASY PARKING and a lot of parking spots. Huge parking lot next door. what makes this place the best is the staff. Diana has been so helpful and great to visit every Sunday when I come in and the owners are fabulous. I only went here because my normal place waa busy and i needed to wash drove past here and i didnt think they were actually open because it was so empty well i now know why its never packed at night like it is during the day the lady who works at night has the shadest people hanging around all over the laundromat and out side i was afraid something might happen so i didnt even want to finish my clothes.
