He's a short, white guy with brown hair, tan skin, and super white teeth. He harassed us for parking our van there and "blocking" the lot while we were doing laundry! The communication here is awful. Been dropping clothes off here for years to dry clean. Generally with regular items they can handle it. But throw in a leather jacket or a blazer with a suede trim and the staff here will freak out. I dry cleaned a leather jacket here once and they charged me $75 for it. That wasn't the worst part. They made me sign a release form because it was a specialty fabric releasing them of liability in case anything happened to it under their care. I was willing to sign it. Then after I signed it and left, I received daily voicemails from multiple staff members asking if I had signed the release form yet for a week. Clearly they would rather harass the customer than talk to each other. Today I went to pick up a blazer with a suede trim. Same thing. I dropped it off 2 weeks ago along with a dress. They made me sign the release form for the suede part. Then when I came to pick up both items, only the dress had been cleaned. They said they weren't willing to do the blazer without the release form. But I had signed the release form. Oops they must have lost it. No process around THE RELEASE FORM I guess! I signed a second one and paid for both items and only left with the dress. Today I went back for my blazer. The woman at the counter tried charging me for it again. I gave her my receipt for both items from the previous week, explaining the situation. She looked at her screen and said there was no way to override it, looking at me blankly. Absolutely ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and take your dry cleaning literally anywhere else. Staff can't function here. read more

The whole process was super easy and didn't have to deal with any lingering dampness on clothes. The dryer totally dried all the clothes on the low setting. Used to be a regular here. Stopped going when they took out nearly all of the size machines I use, just to replace them with a larger version, making it virtually impossible for me to get one when I would come in. Felt like a money grab. Staff was indifferent to the feedback. Blonde female attendant was SO RUDE to me and proceeded to talk negatively about me with her coworker. Machine destroyed a sheet set of mine and the owner never called me to discuss, as promised by a staffer. Took my business down the street. Plenty of other options in the area. read more

First visit. Came for the hot water and sanitizing. Realized too late that 6 loads is twice the cost of 4 loads. How does that make sense? I didn't dry, so can't speak to that. Nice place, but the loud machinery on the wall (air?) is problematic for me. Also, the chairs are miserably uncomfortable, and too low for people with bad knees. They are exposing everyone to abestos as they pull out all their old dryers without closing the business while they are working. Years of mouse droppings and dust fill the air as people are trying to do their laundry. No consideration for their customers only their pocketbooks! Lost my business for good. Any building that old contains both abestos and lead paint, regardless of what the new owner states. I took samples as well as photos to prove my point! read more

I give the owner 5 stars for the remodel and new equipment. I've been coming to this laundromat for a couple of years now. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is because the place itself is very clean and well maintained. You can tell the owner invests in the business, the remodel, newer washers, and newer dryers make it one of the nicer laundromats in the area. I don't mind paying the higher prices because it's a comfortable and clean place to wash clothes. However, over the years I've noticed an ongoing issue with some of the staff. I usually keep to myself, come in, do my laundry, and leave. But I've repeatedly witnessed employees making customers feel uncomfortable by complaining out loud about things that happen during normal laundry use. For example, today I accidentally had a tissue left in a pocket. Anyone who does laundry knows this can happen sometimes, even when you try to check your pockets. Instead of handling it professionally, the employee nearby started loudly sighing and complaining about having to clean it up. In the past, something similar happened when a jacket lining came apart in the washer and I was actively picking it up myself, but the staff member behind me was audibly huffing and complaining. It's also worth noting that small pieces of tissue from a pocket are a very common laundry mistake and typically just end up in the lint filter of the dryer. It's more of an inconvenience than a safety issue, and something most people who do laundry have experienced at one point or another. What makes this more uncomfortable is that I've also overheard employees talking about other customers and criticizing the way people do their laundry while other customers are within earshot. I've even seen customers get frustrated and snap back because of this behavior. I want to be clear that I respect the work that goes into keeping a laundromat clean, and I always try to clean up after myself. But the constant complaining and visible frustration toward customers is very unprofessional and creates an uncomfortable environment. It's disappointing because the facility itself is great, and I'd like to continue supporting this laundromat. I just hope management addresses the customer service side of things, because the attitude of some employees is starting to take away from what is otherwise a really nice place. read more

New in the area and I was looking for a new Laundry place. Came in to check the prices, machine does not display them. Decided to wash anyways. However, I did not realize they weren't allowing any more loads. Thankfully the worker rudely informed me that they weren't allowing more loads. I told her I'd just come back in the morning (ps I had already put my bill in the change machine for quarters). To which she replied "well idk if you will come back in the morning if you take our change". Understandable. But tbh she was very rude about it. First of all, in a lifetime of using laundromats, Corner Wash is the nicest one we have ever been to. It's amazingly clean due to the hard work of an industrious woman named Katherine. All of the machines are new and well maintained. They use ozone sanitation water. There's an assortment of high end snack and beverage machines. The bathroom is spotless. There are enough carts. I'm impressed and I had few expectations going in. I will definitely come back and recommend this place. read more

He was singing and enjoying himself outside. He also just said "you have get away sticks" to a young man I was talking to him and his wife. He nor she said nothing to the worker. Again the person I'm with is back against the wall in a PUBLIC parking lot not on there side. She then comes up to me and says you have to go or I'm calling the cops!!!!! Free WiFi and lots of chairs for sitting, the washing machines look super clean and new, and the process is reasonable. Place is so greedy. Two big dryers are 1$ for four minutes. Medium are fifty cents for 4 and smaller ones are a quarter. Not to mention a credit card machine to get into the bathroom. Straight up cash grab. First and last time Update: Place isn't just greedy, it's crooked. Put my clothes in a machine, and what should have been a quarter per four minutes was reading 50 cents per four minutes. Mind you, I'm on the far right as far as I can be from the fifty-cent machines. Put my clothes in another dryer, and that one says 50 cents. Finally, used a third dryer that was reading at a quarter. Such a CLEAN and beautiful laundromat! I love how it feels modern with the Normal Heights mural and neon signs. I actually have laundry on-site at my complex but come here on occasion when I want to get ALL my laundry done in about an hour. When I have a ton of bedding to do I'll throw it in the 8-load washer. Juliet is an exceptional worker at Corner Wash. Twice now I have seen her while I was laundering my clothing. She is scrubbing the place from tip to top, side to side, and keeping the place as sparkling as one would like to see a laundry-mat with hundreds of people through each day. Black in the mid 90s, I lived down the street and this laundromat was owned by 2 sweet ladies. I used to walk in there with a pocketful of quarters, throw the clothes in and go across the street to DeMille's for some food. Damn, that gem of a restaurant closed. Such great laundry day memories! Recently my dryer broke so I came in here to dry some clothes. Wow, they really upgraded it! It's very clean and they have the jumbo washers and dryers. Good to know if I need to wash comforters or things too big to fit in my machine! I just wish the same ladies owned it, they were good for a chat and some laughs! The machines are new and you have the option to use card or pay by app. Im HIGHLY disappointed at how rates nearly DOUBLED on the machines. They have signs blaming it on SDGE and but newsflash, we all just received notice that the rates were going back to normal. On top of that, they aren't running their "Ozone Sanitation system" for the last month that I've been doing my laundry here... GROSS. So, that leaves me needing to wash with hot water which they charge extra for! Oh and they even charge you to use the bathroom here.... There's a whole scanner outside outside the restroom for it.
