Great draft beer selection--we tried two different ones and both were excellent. The food was also a pleasant surprise. They've got the usual pub classics like wings and burgers, but also a solid selection of Mexican dishes. I went for the green chili, which was delicious but seriously spicy. I had to pause between bites just to let the heat settle. The spicy chicken enchiladas were really tasty too--still spicy, but much more manageable and enjoyable compared to the chili. Service was great as well. Our server was very attentive and had a lovely, welcoming smile. Overall, a really enjoyable spot for good food, good beer, and friendly service. We went for a drive to Sonoita and by the time we got there we were ready to eat! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We found the Copper Brothel Brewery and it was jumping! I had the Desert taco with ground beef (sour cream and avocado slices added) My husband and I had to try the February special of pesto mac & cheese and it did NOT disappoint! My husband had the cheeseburger and added hatch chilis. He loved it!!!! His side was homemade chips!! They were so good I wanted to take a whole bag of them home. The fries weren't too hot; don't be bashful about ordering them. The Pulled Pork sandwich and especially the side of cole slaw was really good. OK, so we thought we'd try out the copper brothel brewery in Senoia Arizona since we were in town to do something else already Totally not particularly impressed. The food was OK nothing special. Also, when I order a pulled pork sandwich with barbecue sauce, I expect it to be barbecue sauce on the pulled pork. Instead, I got dried pulled pork and a little cup of barbecue sauce for me to mix myself where there's no actual place to mix it so it means pour over the top and that's it. I guess the good point is we didn't have a soggy bun, but I'd rather have a soggy bun and have the barbecue sauce in all my pork just the top. Since I don't live here and I'll probably never come back again it was OK. read more

I'll start by saying all but one associate we interacted with was professional and hospitable. Our server Levi was great. Hostess was nice. "Older" blonde bartender was just straight up nasty. Whatever her problem was she tried to make it ours. Didn't bother to acknowledge all of us when we walked up to the bar and never seemed interested in serving us while we waited for our table. We did nothing to provoke this and we even smiled and said hi when we walked up to the bar. She didn't even greet us or offer us a drink so we chose to go back and wait for our table. It was around 1:00 pm on Saturday luau themed day. Hope it didn't matter that we were the only Asians in the place. Could not help to think this though, as she smiled and offered "another's" to the others next to us with all smiles. Reading previous reviews I can understand why she still works there but I guess the fish stinks at the head. I won't comment on anything else because this was just a nasty interaction I want to forget ever happened. It's sad. Food was good and server was great but people like this can really hurt business. UPDATE... Our last visit was a sour experience. Let me say that the food was still great. The bartending, though, was really disappointing. My wife ordered a Cosmo, and it was really bad. The bartender was in the weeds and overwhelmed. I ordered a Manhattan, and some helper guy with two earrings and a rose tattoo on his leg made a comment that it was a Fufu drink and took too long to make when they were busy. This is a brewery, and I get that cocktails take more energy and technique than pouring draft beer. If they don't have the time or expertise for cocktails, take them off the menu and quit pretending to be a real bar. Just serve beer. I truly respect the people making the food. It was really tasty and elevated for the venue. The bar tending and front of house needs work. I no longer recommend this establishment for drinks. Get a table and try the food. While spending.the day in southern Arizona, we stopped by the Copper Brothel Brewery for some food and beers. The brewery has several beers on tap and they allow you to taste before you buy. They also have a full bar if beer isn't your thing. I ordered chicharones as an appetizer and the desert taco for lunch. The desert taco is actually not a taco, it's like Chile Verde on fry bread. The taste was excellent and the portion.was enough for two hungry adults. The chicharones were fresh and crispy. In the south, chicharones are called cracklings. The portion was enough for four adults.. The service was quick and the waitress was attentive. The Copper Brothel Brewery is probably the only restaurant near the Madera Canyon park. Nice option to stop along the way for food if you are visiting the Southern Arizona tourist towns of Patagonia, Tombstone, Bisbee, or the Sonoita wineries. The restaurant has a large parking lot attached, spacious indoor seating area, and outdoor shaded seating. They even have an outdoor live music venue area and tons of board games for entertainment. The food is typical American and Tex-Mex options to include burgers, wings, burritos, nachos, enchiladas, salads, chips and salsa, etc. The food and service were both good! They do have several different beers on tap including an IPA, wheat, red, stout, and Kolsch, but seem to be lacking in the pilsner, cider, sour, etc. type of options. read more

I don't know when the service went downhill at Copper Brothel, but my recent experience was very disappointing and left me with little to no desire to go back. I understand that Copper Brothel is one of the few restaurants in Sonoita so I always arrive knowing there will be a wait for a table which is fine. What I am not okay with is being forgotten about after being told the wait time would only be 10 minutes, watching people that arrived way after our party being sat before us, and seeing that there are close to a dozen tables empty and clean, yet the hostess doesn't accommodate all the people waiting out the door to be seated. When we reminded the hostess that we were waiting for a table after watching multiple people get a table before us after they had just walked in, she sat us down. No one brought us menus, much less acknowledged our existence until we asked a server walking by if we could please have menus. We all know the money-maker at these establishments is alcohol. It took a good 20 minutes+ to get a drink after we had been seated and it's only because we flagged down our server. Another unfortunate thing we witnessed while having dinner was an elderly couple waiting for a table. It was cold outside which is the only place there is somewhere to sit while waiting to be seated. So, this couple obviously waited inside where it was warm, and they just stood there for over 30 minutes waiting, none of the hostess offered them a seat from the many empty tables that had no one sitting at them, they just walked right past them, ignoring them. They need to figure out an indoor waiting area during the winter as it's completely baffling to me that they do not have a designated area for people to wait, knowing full-well they do not take reservations. To stand at the entrance awkwardly while you wait for a table is absurd, to make elderly people stand is just plain wrong, especially for over 30 minutes. As for them having tons of tables ready to go and not seating their waiting guests is beyond me. I don't understand the reasoning for that, but it makes absolutely no sense. They have a fully staffed bar/restaurant, yet they are neglecting their customers. It's sad to see a place that used to have such good service end up like this. I hope they make changes as I know I am just one of many customers that was not happy with the service they received that Saturday afternoon. read more

Over the weekend went on a winery trip with girlfriends and I heard that Copper Brothel was good so we didn't pass up the chance to add that to the plans. Pros: - food was very good. The spicy chicken sandwich was bomb! House made pork rinds were great and salsa was fresh. - beer was good. I only had one type so can't speak for them all. I had the saison which was tasty but a very mild saison style flavor. - we sat on the patio around sunset and it was gorgeous out there! - cool place. The overall scenery and quality of food made up for poor service in my mind. - the fried pickles were awesome. Cons: - oh man the service was pretty bad. I have worked as a server in the past and I currently bartend part time so I give people the benefit of the doubt for sure. But this was rough. We had to ask for silverware, napkins, and glasses of water- 3 times from the server. She would come back totally forgetting we had that water conversation previously lol. It took forever to be able to put in our order. Had to ask for drink refills each time. The basics of service were not there. They seemed short staffed and I know what it's like when it's busy and people are waiting. Their eyes pierce into you like daggers, we were friendly and not in a rush so we had the time to wait, nonetheless it's irritating. My overall review would be better if the service wasn't so lacking. read more

Went down to Sonoita for a girls birthday trip, and this was our first stop. We all enjoyed the beers, the food, and the atmosphere! I heard 0 complaints outside of asking for no ice and got ice in a soda. Very nice atmosphere, with a grassy area outside and a great outdoor patio. Service was phenomenal, when my friend asked for a strawberry coke and meant cherry, he made the customer right and kept calling it a strawberry coke! The food came quickly, and it was all delicious! The Cuban sandwich , the enchiladas, and burger was juicy and satisfying, and my fried shrimp plate, cole slaw and sweet potato fries were GREAT! The shrimp was huge, and there was a lot of it, so I was extremely happy! This was a special and not normally on the menu, hopefully it's a regular special! The beers were absolutely tasty! We've been here before, all quite delightful, always with our perfectly behaved service dog. This trip resulted in us walking out, without being served. Several minutes later the server brought us minutes. Over 15 minutes passed...as the server visited with the person eating at the bar. All attempts at eye contact failed. Tapped the menus on the table and set them down....also ignored as she continued visiting and laughing with the one patron. It seemed like such a great meal opportunity. It turned into a disaster, from the manager ghosting us, to the server Levi claiming the menu showed pork as part of the title which it never did. In fact, nowhere is it noted in the title of any dish that lists Colorado Style Green Chili. The dish I ordered which was desert taco. I added grilled chicken and avocado slices. I had them remove the lettuce and tomato and put it on the side. The dish arrived it looked great, enough to share. However besides the chicken there was pork. And here is where it all went wrong. Levi was surprised that I didn't know Colorado Style Green Chili included pork. Incredulous would be more specific. I said to him, I bet 95% of the population has no idea. Nowhere does it mention pork. Levi turned over the menu to show a bowl dish which includes pork. However it never says that in the title and the way it is written implies that the braised pork is part of the dish just as the tomatoes are. Getting home I looked at old menus from the Copper and saw that at one time they listed their title as Colorado Green Chili Pork or with Pork. The menu I saw said nothing of the sort. What they should have done is put some text up on the top explaining what Colorado Style is. I grew up in a border town. Learned Spanish before English. And now spend a quarter of my time living in Mexico. And I had no idea what Colorado Style was. Regardless, Levi said he would get the manager. Time passed. Finally we said forget it, give us the check. Levi noted to us, that the manager must have forgotten. Our reward for this mayhem of bad service? We paid the $28 or so. I will add they offered I could order something else as though I would have no problem paying for another dish. On the plus prior to him being adamant that Pork was highly visible, pleasant. Once he went adamant, that menu came out quick. Faster then him refilling our drinks. read more

Wonderful 4-5 hour day trip: From Tucson, departing at 9:00 am, drive to view Patagonia Lake down highway 83, departing the lake, you arrive by 10:30 and are visiting a wonderful little store in Patagonia (Global Arts Gallery), then another 12 miles north - you find Copper Brothel Brewery for lunch. Cool vibe, I would describe it as a diamond in the rough - in the small town of Sonoita. Two Roxie Red Kolsch pints (delicious) and a burger. I wanted to go '5' on the burger, but the meat was barely seasoned if at all. Don't misread me, the lettuce, tomato, toasted bun and adding the Green Chile is a must - but the absence of seasoning tipped me down just a notch. In fact, if there were decimal values, I would rank a solid 4.5. Service (Taryn) was spot on....One final tip: As inviting as outside is, if there is no wind and its hot - opt to sit inside. The flies, with a horse barn in sight are aggressive and can really overshadow a wonderful lunch. Back to Tucson not later than 12:30, just as we break the hottest part of the day! read more
