I treated myself to a massage and facial for my birthday it was the perfect way to celebrate! Miguel was an incredible massage therapist super professional, knowledgeable, attentive from start to finish. He focused exactly where I needed it most: my neck, shoulders and lower back which have been giving me trouble because of my pHe explained that I probably would have benefited more from the therapeutic massage instead of the Swedish massage I booked. I was worried a therapeutic massage might be too intense, but he reassured me and used just the right amount of pressure. I left feeling relaxed and with so much less tension. He was very respectful, draped everything professionally, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the session. The room was a little warm, but he did everything he could to make it as comfortable as possible. My facial with Andrea was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, professional she truly has magical hands. The facial massage was one of my favorite parts of the facial. My face felt tightened and toned afterwards. Image Skincare products smelled incredible. My skin looked so radiant, hydrated and glowing afterwards. It was exactly what I needed. If you're a local, I highly recommend supporting this wonderful small business you won't be disappointed. If you're staying at the hotel definitely treat yourself to a service while you're there. They work by appointment only so I recommend booking in advance, as Andrea the esthetician is on call. The spa itself is a little dated but honestly that didn't affect my experience one bit. Service was lovely on a Friday afternoon. Treated kindly, and gentleman at front desk was wonderful. Massages were great. Facial was ok, but a bit rough. Didn't think much of it till my skin started to burn Later that day. I kept out of the sun, and never have had a problem prior. The next day my skin was red and raw on my cheeks. One day after that, it looks like a bunch of little cuts. I'm not one to complain. But the lady at the front desk on Sunday morning told me it was something I needed to take care of, and I should see a dermatologist. I had an excellent massage with Jaimie. The spa is comfortable and well maintained. I will plan to return on my next stop in Palm Springs.

I booked an 80 min aromatherapy massage. I was the only client at 11am on a Tuesday during modernism week which I felt odd but should have been my first clue. After arriving I found out that what I booked would be a very light touch massage. I asked if I could change my service to something with more medium/firm pressure and she recommended the therapeutic massage. I noted that she didn't bring up the price difference but decided I would pay for whatever I selected. There was no conversation about areas of my body that I would like to focus on or any soreness/injuries. What I ended up receiving did NOT match the therapeutic massage described in the brochure which states "a combination of Swedish and deep tissue work with other modalities tailored to your individual construction and needs". My experience was a very light touch lotion rub down with occasional thumb pressure applied on single points. At about 20 mins in, I asked if she could use firmer pressure when applying the lotion. She said nothing ((awkward))... and continued on her way. I actually began to question her professional experience at this point. Any massage therapist I've interacted with in the past has taken my feedback genuinely and was happy to meet my requests. This certainly was not the tailored massage I was expecting. I sensed that we were hitting the 50 min mark and when she went back to rubbing my feet (again... she had already spent more time on them than I wanted) I realized that there was nothing I could say that would make this massage enjoyable and that she would be doing it her way. I asked if we could make it a 50 min massage instead of 80. She said yes but that it would mean it's over now. When I said that would be fine she slapped two steaming hot towels on my feet - no consideration for how painful that could be, no questions about why I changed my mind. She said, "I'll be outside". When I put my robe on and went into the hall way, she was no where to be found. I lead myself back to the reception area, paid and left. The service was the worst experience I've received from any day spa or massage therapy business. I went back the next day to explain my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund. I was told they don't do that and the most they could do was refund me the tip I left. The receptionist said that if I would have told her that I wanted to end it earlier on, they wouldn't have charged me, but since I didn't say anything until the hour, they had to. The reason I waited was because I thought I my requests to modify the massage to my preferences would be taken seriously! In a service business, to not put customers first, is terrible. I see from reading reviews here that refunds have been issued. I wasn't going to leave a negative review but after understanding that they aren't interested in valuing customers, I wanted to let others know what type of place this is. read more

I have been meaning to update this review. So a few weeks later, as I mentioned in the original review, I called the hotel. I wanted to talk to the manager. I must have called on a Sunday because the lady that answered said that the manager was not in. Very upset that I couldn't talk to anyone I left a pretty detailed message with the front desk attendant. The next day I called again, this time I was able to reach the manager of the hotel. She was kind of thrown off with me and was surprised at what I had been telling her about my experience. I said I had called on a day she was not in and I had left a message. She said she would look into the matter. Not an hour later I got a call back from her and she had a different tone with me. She must have talked to the front desk and seen the very detailed message I left with her. I just want to point out that the only reason I left a detailed message with that clerk is because I wanted the staff and management to know how serious my claims and experience was. So she called back and was extremely apologetic and informed me that Clarence was NOT staffed there at the spa anymore. What a relief. That's all I really wanted. Probably about another few hours later I got another call but not from the hotel but the spa. The same lady who I had told about Clarence the day of the incident was calling me. She wanted to call and apologize and shared with me how shocked she was that day. She felt so bad and she wanted to somehow make it right. She refunded me my portion of the massage and reassured me that Clarence does not work there anymore. He was apparently fired on the spot and he had been reported to the board that handles his masseuse license. Hopefully he won't be able to do this again. Yelp head quarters had to take my photos down from my original review because they were not photos I took, but I was easily able to find him. His name is Clarence from Lake Elsinore masseuse. Mediocre experience from the jump. Shakira at the front desk made me feel like the opposite of welcome. I had purchased a seasonal day package and was given no guidance unless I asked questions. I'm not sure what I did to Shakira in a past life or in this one, but I've been nicer to telemarketers than she was to me. My massage was actually nice. The masseuse (Clarence? I didn't get anyone's name directly) asked questions addressed the issues that needed addressing. The esthetician was also very nice, but I question her level of experience. I was getting a vitamin c facial to address dark spots, sun damage, and promote skin glow. I also have rosacea and was open about that. She used a glycolic cleanser on me and then proceeded to use a exfoliating scrub immediately after. It hurt and I told her so. She did wash it off, but the damage was done. Every other product applied after felt bad. My skin felt stripped and dehydrated. It's hours later and my face is still itchy and red. Their website says that you can stick around and use the pool afterward. Shakira told me I had to get my stuff out of the locker room because the spa was closing (at 1pm). I used the pool and changed in a bathroom. I tipped 25% because the message was actually good and I didn't want the masseuse to suffer for the rest of the lackluster experience. I don't treat myself of often and this was a huge letdown. Please don't hire surly people to greet your customers. read more

The experience itself was AMAZING! The staff was super attentive and super helpful to my party and I. My party and I came for a girls trip and all got "me time" packages. This includes a 50 min massage with poolside access. At the time of check in, two of our party wanted to upgrade to a longer massage and the spa at Andrea's was more than accommodating. The spa was mediocre, BUT if you come with a party--they will serve you UNLIMITED champagne. What better way to hang out with your gals poolside with unlimited champagne?! I wish I could give this place more stars, but they have a masseuse named Clarence working there who is not appropriate at all, he pulled the sheet back and was massaging my wife's butt crack and grazing her vagina multiple times during her massage. It became so uncomfortable for her, even after she closed her legs super tight and was not allowing his hand up in there that she had to ask for water and say she was dehydrated because she didn't want to disturb me. Millie was wonderful and I actually had the best couples massage experience individually, but all of it was ruined because of Clarence and his inappropriate touching and rubbing. I'm so upset this happened to her, this has never happened in our experience and I've had male massage therapists before and they have been appropriate. We asked for 2 women and one was in a car accident the night before the massage which was so awful and I hope she's ok. The only thing I was worried about with the pressure of a man depending on his size since my wife is very petite, but she didn't mind and we were looking forward to it. The experience was amazing and the woman at the front desk was super nice when we explained how upset we were and she said she would speak with him. We still paid for the entire couples massage even though my wife had to end it with Clarence early and it makes me so upset that he stayed in the room and when we left he was staying outside of the bathroom door even, it was pretty obvious he knew he did something very wrong. I never want this to happen to anyone else and it really upsets me that my wife had to experience that. If Clarence is still employed there and you are a female, please be very cautious and aware of him!!! I contacted the Spa via their email form and didn't hear back for several days. I did then get a call, and scheduled an appointment for the following day. I was firmly told the appointment would not be cancelable since it was less than 24 hours notice, and the woman took my credit card info to guarantee the reservation. I was told to arrive 10 minutes early for my appointment. So I arrived fifteen minutes for my appointment. The door to the spa on the outside was locked, so I walked around to the hotel, where the woman at the front desk told me to go back around to the spa. All the doors were locked. So I found myself standing outside in the hot desert sun waiting. And waiting. My appointment time came and went, so I started calling the spa. No answer. I could hear it ringing through the doors. After waiting a full 30 minutes, I gave up. Perhaps there was some confusion? Well, I sent an email to the spa about this two weeks ago and haven't received even so much as an acknowledgement or an apology. Covid may be tough, but an apology is literally the least you can do, and costs $0. So, I ended up even more stressed than if I hadn't made an appointment for a massage at all. This is hard for me to rate. We booked the couples getaway massage for a Saturday afternoon. Showed up, changed into our robes and slippers and headed to the couples massage room complete with the mineral soak, champagne and faux fireplace. Beautiful!!! The ambiance is amazing!! My husband got massaged by I believe Don who asked my husband right away where his trouble spots were. Don delivered and my husband has been feeling so good since then. 6 out of 5 stars. Don is amazing. My massage? It was a "one size fits all" oiling of my skin. At 1 point I told her it felt great when she actually kneaded my muscles but it ended as quickly as it started. I originally wasn't going to complain but upon leaving the spa, my back has been getting stuck, my neck feels like it needs to crack, and I've had a cramp right under my butt since the massage. It's like my masseuse got me ready for a massage and now I gotta go pay for another massage and get it out. We both had Spa treatments while staying at the Andreas Hotel. In celebration of our Anniversary, we opted for the 2 hour sessions. My wife started with her massage, while I had the Men's facial; at the end of the hour, we switched rooms and I had the massage, while my wife had the facial. The massages were done by Jamie, and the facials by Dalya. They both did an awesome job, and we were over the moon with the entire experience. We have had many Spa experiences before, and we would both put these at the TOP of those that were most memorable. Both Jamie and Dallas were very intent in explaining the steps during treatment, and went out of their way to insure we were comfortable, or had any requests. While the boys were playing golf, I needed a place for the girls to go, so I found the Spa at Andreas. It's nothing luxurious, but they know what they're doing and treat you well. Located inside a boutique hotel, they don't have any spa amenities (shower, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, etc), but there is a locker room, meditation room and hotel pool that you can use. I was warmly welcomed in upon arrival, and as I walked to the locker room, noticed a jug of spa water and jars of snacks (pretzels, trail mix, candy). A similar, but more limited mix was also available in the meditation room. I went with a 60 minute deep tissue massage, and enjoyed the treatment I received from Kary. He was conscientious of my needs and gave me recommendations on what to do to better take care of my body. After my treatment, I was treated to a glass of champagne, which was a great way to relax post massage, before I spent a few hours poolside. Since the pool is attached to the hotel, you have to check out from the Spa first, but you can keep your locker all day, which is what I did. To top off the experience, this spa is part of SpaFinder, so I was able to use my Costco purchased gift certificate. read more

Booked a last minute couples getaway package and Liliana was the best! She's so sweet and really knows how to make people feel comfortable! We were brought upstairs to a soak tub which had apricot scrub in it - we just added cold water and sipped on champagne for 45 mins, at which point our massage therapists informed us they were there, which gave us time to dry off and get comfortable on the message table. This rating is coming from my wife, who frequents spas more often than I do. Her notes on the experience: -The mineral bath was nice, but a bit of a letdown considering we had the same tub in our room. They were also supposed to ring a bell before popping in to let us know to get into a less compromising position. They skipped the bell and opened the door a crack instead. Whoops. -The massage was underwhelming. She is more into the Thai massages and usually likes more pressure. Plus there was the offer to massage her stomach...which seemed like an odd place to go (there was no attempt to massage mine) -The biggest complaint was really what we paid versus what we got. She feels like we could have either paid less and gotten a similar experience elsewhere, or paid slightly more and gotten much more in regards to amenities. Day spas don't charge that much more than here and you get use of the facilities all day. Oh, you want my opinion rather than my wife's? No you don't. I don't like massages. I've tried, Lord help me I have, and they just aren't for me. I don't want strangers squeezing my back and telling me I have knots. I don't have knots, you have knots. Don't you criticize my life. I work hard for the money. So hard for it honey. I work hard for the money so you better treat me right. Oh, and service wise for the front desk things here are great. The customer service is 5 stars right from the start. Location right in downtown Palm Springs makes it easy to find. It sounds like it's part of the hotel but is not really. The facility is 2 stars. Not a true spa compared to what you would hope for or expect. The changing area is a closet. No sinks or showers. Very not relaxing. No restroom down stairs near the changing area. No sinks even. The " rest and relax" are is 3 to 4 stars. Relaxing environment and calming. Not private because people from the street can look in. The teas and treats are cheap. Not special. Also it's really cold. Yes Palm Springs is hot and there is relief with the ac but it was really cold. 1 star for quality of the products. So the bathroom had softsoap no specialty lotion or soaps. Fail. Very no On to the massage. We did a couples massage and the room is great. 5 or even six stars. We didn't use the tub and it wasn't offered but it looked great. The therapists 3-4. I had Kerry and it was pretty good. He was able to focus on my low back and did listen when I told him the room was cold. (3-4 stars) My wife had Patty for her prenatal massage. My wife told her specific areas to focus on and she told my wife we will do it her way and she did not focus on those areas. My wife said she did an okay to good job but was disappointed that she would not focus even a little bit more time on the problem areas. (2stars) The show is really "sharp". The best couples massage EVER! My husband and I had the best experience here. We were greeted by lovely Liliana when we arrived. We were shown to a locker room to change into spa robes and slippers. Extremely clean. After answer a few medical history questions we were guided upstairs to a private room with a whirlpool bathtub and fireplace at the center. We got there early, so we got to soak for a total of 50 minutes. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne and some ice cold water. So romantic! Don worked on me and gave the BEST massage of my life. Painful at times, but this is due to previous athletic injuries that have haunted my body for years. I walked away feeling like a brand new person. He talked me through the painful parts and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. My husband had Jamie. She hit all the right spots and made him feel comfortable as well. The look on my husband's face at the end was a look of relaxation I have never seen before! At the end, we got to relax in the Quiet Room for a few minutes and gather ourselves. Once we got dressed, we relaxed by the hotel pool for an hour. They have a bar with yummy drink. They are not serving food at this time because of COVID. I cannot recommend this spa enough. Will NEVER return! From the moment we entered until we left it was a horrible experience! It looks quaint from the outside but inside is a different story. I had booked a couple massage and a mineral soak for my hubby and I for $250. My girlfriend also booked the same treatment but had to cancel the appt. the day before since her boyfriend was sick and did not make our trip. She instead booked a facial. When we arrived, she was told that since she did not cancel w/in 48 hours they had also booked her a massage w/the facial and were going to charge her $200 (now remember all she had wanted was a facial) the girl who would not budge and kept telling us, her manager was not around and we would have to call her later in the week to discuss this issue. The same employee also told my friend they were giving her a big break despite both of us telling her we were NEVER told about the 48 hour policy (in fact the sheet they wanted us to fill out at the spa specifically stated 24 hours on it not 48) and that we both never received an alleged email that apparently stated the cancellation policy but the employee kept disagreeing with us. Besides this glitch, the changing room was super small with hardly any amenities. You do receive a nice robe and sandals. The worst part of this entire visit was the checkout. Since they did not get my credit card when I made the appt. and I did not have one on me since I planned to pay for the services with the Spa finder gift cards and cash for the tip, it took us approximately 45 MINUTES to leave this darn place. I felt bad for the guy who was at the register who was apologetic but seriously....you need a credit card to leave a place when you have cash and gift cards? REALLY? By the time we finally left I was stressed and needed another treatment....just not at the Spa at Andreas. Not only did they lose me as a repeat customer, they also lost two additional customers. read more

Loved this place. Perfect for a mini get away with girlfriends or with a partner. Free continental breakfast before 10am. Lynne is an amazing woman. She is the sweetest and most hospital person. We came here for a spa treatment and didnt even know it is also a hotel Hacienda architect with pool. Only 25 rooms so it's not a huge place which makes it more intimate and relaxing. I found a TravelZoo deal for this gem of a place, which offered a massage or facial and a take home scrub. I made an appt for my friend and me at 3 pm. Parking was not difficult (we showed up around 11 am). The hotel is beautiful and is full of pleasant aromas. We were able to check into the spa to get a locker. We could then enjoy the hotel pool and bar (along with a pina colada, a margarita, and some tasty chips and guacamole). Prior to the massage, my friend and I waited in the quiet room. Since our massage was an aromatherapy massage, our massage therapists asked us what scent we wanted. They have quite a few to choose from (she chose lavender, I chose tangerine). Angele was my massage therapist. Her hands felt AMAZING. Great pressure. She checked in with me to make sure I was OK with her pressure. The way she massaged my neck and scalp were thoroughly enjoyable. She also paid attention to my forearms, which is an area I didn't realize could be so enjoyable to be touched and massaged. After the massage, we had some water and were invited to stay in the quiet room for as long as we liked. We could have even gone back to the pool. I have ZERO complaints about using the voucher, the service I received, the hotel or pool. I WILL BE BACK. BTW, I happened to get a glimpse of the couples massage room... My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend getaway to Palm Springs, we stayed at the Hyatt across the street which was recommended by friends but doesn't have a spa... Which fortunately led us to Andreas, Starting with the phone call to make the appointments; it was very pleasant and the gal was just a joy to speak to. She got us scheduled when we needed. When we arrived the entire staff was so positive and brought great energy to the spa, it seemed they really loved where they worked and who the represented. My boyfriend got a deep tissue massage and he absolutely loved it, it was exactly what he needed and the therapist knew her stuff. He honestly hasn't stopped talking about it and looks forward to getting another by her again. I got the citrus scrub and massage treatment, the therapist was such a delight and I loved her energy. Such a love for what she does. We both got pedicures that were great also, the chairs were a little out dated and there weren't a lot of colors to choose from so I just kept my color and got the pedicure. The cosmologist was great to speak to and she did an awesome job of engaging the both of us the entire time. Had an hour of full body massage and another hour for a facial. Also a relaxing and quaint waiting room with water, hot tea and snack. The staff were very professional and courteous. My friend and I came to this spa for a relaxing girls day. I have to admit, Karen was great! She was attentive and the massage was excellent. My friend, however, had a massage by Nubia and described it as odd and scattered. Nubia didn't ask my friend what she liked or anything and the massage was just very weird. The customer service was awful. We saw online that massages were 100. When we got finished they charged my friend $35 more than she thought and me $50 more. I complained and she (receptionist) fixed mine a bit but it still was over. Her excuse was prices changed but we told her the website still had the other prices. She also had no customer service skills and we found her to be rude. For example, my friend only had cash and the receptionist says they don't carry change in a weird tone. Maybe they should advertise that! We were both very irritated and not relaxed at all after we left. Horrible customer service. If you do book, be careful because the lady on the phone told me one price and then they tried to charge me another. Very unorganized business that needs lessons in customer service. I brought my wife to the Andreas Hotel for our anniversary for 3 days. The package included a massage for the 2 of us each day. Each day the massage was very relaxing and conducted by very professional staff. My wife had Marcie each of the 3 days and she truly has magical hands. We highly recommend the spa as well as the hotel. Truly a hidden treasure in Palm Springs. read more

Unfortunately my gf & I were unable to experience the Spa. Two days before our appointment I received a call from a staff member advising me that my appointment had to be canceled. Apparently no therapist were available. We were in town celebrating a special occasion and we're saddened because we were looking forward to a relaxing experience. My massage was decent. Not the best and not the worst. I can't complain about that too much, however, the "20% convenience gratuity" is kind of ridiculous. I got a facial and a massage and the lady while checking me out literally said "20% gratuity will be $20 tip for each girl, would you like me to add that on for you?" so $40 tip. Normally I do a $10 tip when I get massages . I don't think anything is wrong with that and I find it generous enough. However when I told the lady I'd rather do $15 each she made a huge deal and asked me if they did anything wrong. They really somewhat almost "bully" you into tipping super high. I was very turned off by that. I don't think it's a very ethical way of running a business. read more
