Another 5 star visit! I did their Arnica message twice during my visit. I can't recommend it enough. I really felt the benefit of the Arnica cream. At other spas I usually get a CBD massage but I felt the benefits of the Arnica were more noticeable. Also, their staff does the best massages I've had. I really loved the salt water pool. I've been coming here for years usually the only issues is the shower but today on my visit, my massage was great but the amenities was the worst. The sauna was cold and so was the water in the salt bath. When me and my sister and the other guest the front desk she told us her Manager said that's how it supposed to be. Horrible management that includes Jennifer and Gina. Their hair stylist ends up cutting my children's hair, 9 and 8 year old boys, and completely messed it up! And they didn't even bother giving me credit for one entire haircut on next visit. Mind you that the hair cuts are listed at $75 a pop so I ended up paying $150 for them and my wife being the kind person she is, left a $10 tip for both cuts feeling bad for the lady cutting their hair. When I asked for some kind of credit or refund, all management did for me was add a $40 credit for future use. I was shocked because my wife and I are both 7 star players at the harrahs casino there and spend a lot of money in their establishment. Let me drop a few pictures of their cuts and you guys decide what's up. Both boys ended up with small cuts behind their ears. Can't believe why they can't be more gentle charging crazy amounts like that, and working with kids. Better yet, have a "kids price" on their instead of "men's" and make it a bit more affordable like $40 or something. Lastly? Stylist took 7 minutes on each kid. They both were done in 15-20 min max. Unfortunately my wife was present and she's more kind with words than me. But I've always praised them on other items except for now. For a place that is named a spa, we received quite the chilly reception when we walked in for a reserved massage. Really quite surprised that more warmth wasn't provided to help a guest feel welcomed before they walked in, have to disrobe, and let a stranger put their hands on your body... Maybe I digress, but, the initial feeling was less than ideal. But, the massage my wife received by Lupe was great. She enjoyed the experience and the quality of the massage. She also enjoyed the facilities, even though they are a bit older. Check their calendar and call to check for specials. We got a good deal on a 60 minute massage and tipped accordingly. If you are staying at the hotel, the spa is right by the front desk. Really close to the South Tower elevators but a walk through part of the casino to get over to the North Tower elevators. Wear the appropriate clothes... Would we use the spa again for a massage? Yes. Would we hope for a friendlier / warmer greeting? Definitely yes. First -- I have to send my thanks to Lupe. She gave a fantastic massage and was SO kind. Secondly, the amenities are great. They don't totally advertise what they have on the site so here they are: steam room, dry sauna, salt bath, a napping area, and access to cold water, lockers, and hair dryers. The showers were clean and towels available next to every amenity. My appointment was right before they closed. We asked if I could come early to enjoy the amenities and they said absolutely. I came an hour early to indulge in the sauna and salt bath before my massage and I wish I came two hours before so I could enjoy it more and mot worry about being late to my appointment. The staff was very kind in answering any questions I had and were always cleaning up the areas after they had been used. It was so amazing to get away after a long week. read more

This complaint is directed to the spa "manager" Jenn, at Harrah's Rincon casino in Valley Center, CA. From the very beginning when my group arrived to the spa, in which we were not late for our appointment, we had arrived right on time. We were not even greeted with a "hello" nor "welcome", nothing, just given clipboards and told to sign the liability waiver to get our treatments started. But it was fine, and we worked our way to the back lounge to change in to our robes. We were walking quickly into the room to make it past a few people because both walk ways were blocked, so we skirted by and found four open lockers. After we all changed, we were then called by name and taken to our respective treatments. After we finished our treatments, I entered the changing room once again and found another girl from my party. After a few minutes Jenn (the "manager"), who this complaint is about, entered the room and informed me that my party had to leave. After asking why, I was informed that "someone from my party shoved another guest and then laughed". And confused, I asked, "who did that" and she then proceeded to tell me "I can't tell you that." When I asked for clarification Jen responded with "I can't tell you that" again. Still confused I said, "how am I supposed to know what happened if you won't tell me who did it" to which she responded, "my attendant told me it was the one with the pink sweater and short hair". I was thinking about the only one person in our group who had short hair and that was my sister. And so, I explained to Jenn that my sister has a medical condition in which she cannot see very well, and that I'm sure whatever happened was an accident and she probably didn't know that she even "shoved" someone. To which she (Jenn) responded, "that's no excuse". So, in this complaint I would like to emphasize the discrimination and total lack of respect with no proof as to what happened to someone with a disability. And when I responded, "why were we not informed at the time the incident occurred?", where I was ignored and again told "You need to leave". At this point I am still in my robe with no clothes on underneath and I let her know that I need to change before I leave. To which she replies, "I am going to escort you out". And once again I repeated, and I quote, "I am naked and need to change". While still looking at me takes 2 steps backwards and continues to stare at me. And once again, I said, "I am naked. I need to change". At this point I felt very uncomfortable as she was just staring me down refusing to leave the changing room and I am now being subjected to change while naked in front of a woman I don't know who was accusing me and my group of something. I was very respectful about this whole situation, all I wanted to know was the details of the incident and what exactly happened and why we were being kicked out without any explanation or any chance to defend ourselves. I stated that "all that needed to happen was an explanation of the events and if needed an apology for supposedly shoving another guest". Then, after paying for the treatments, before I left I told the Jenn, "I would just like to point out that we have just been treated very unfairly and walked out of the spa like we were criminals. We still don't even know what happened other than the word of her 'attendant' who did not report the incident at the time, did not describe anyone in my party, did not let anyone know that anything was wrong until after we received our treatments, and gave no chance to explain or ask." And knowing that, the reason that we were even allowed to get our treatments is because their manager Jenn wanted us to still have our treatments so that we had to pay for it in the end. She then took the opportunity to come personally kick us out of the spa without any question, explanation, or inquiry as to what happened. So not only was I harassed and treated unfairly, but my sister was also discriminated against due to having a visual impairment because "she had no excuse for doing what she did" even though it wasn't even confirmed it was her. Because although she had short hair, she was wearing a gray sweater while I had an orange sweater but long hair. To which I also explained to Jenn that the description did not match anyone in my party and how was it confirmed that it was someone in my party? I did not receive an answer to this by Jenn other than "what you did was not OK you need to leave". I was so in shock by what was happening because I have been to this spa many times before and have never had any issues. But after what we experienced today, legal action will be taken. Finally, I did not think it just to take away the gratuity of the hard workers who did our treatments because the treatments themselves were very wonderful, so I did pay for the services with full gratuity. I very well hope that after this their manager receives some much-needed training in customer service and sensitivity training. read more

Horrible customer service on the phone when requesting a couples massage. I am 7 months pregnant and staying at Harrah's for a mini staycation before baby comes. Thought it would be nice to schedule a couples massage but as soon as I said prenatal massage, she said we would have to be separated. I asked if there was a reason (ie special bed needed for the prenatal) but she said it was just policy. I would have even paid more if that's what was needed but this lady was so rude on the phone I decided to just leave it. I really hope this spa makes some changes for the better. I've been here a couple of times (the so pa credits the casino gives reels me in), but moving forward im not going to bother wasting my time until I see prices drop. This place is not serene for the following reasons....SHOWERS - the showers are small, there's no handheld shower head, the shampoo/conditioner/body wash all were missing the pumps, there's hair at the bottom of the drain, there's only three showers and the fourth handicap stall was out-of-order. A few girls before me made a wet mess with towels (so not classy). PRODUCTS - the products are not spa quality, they don't feel or smell nice. One of the two hair dryers were broken. I cleaned up my hair from brushing/blow drying, but I can't say the same for others. It shocks me how gross some people behave in a spa. I'd hate to see their homes, just saying. SAUNA & STEAM ROOM - the sauna was fine (I don't think anyone uses it. They have a cute sand timer on the wall. The steam room was ok (more people used this and left their towels in there). I did like how the spa caretaker refilled the bucket with ice and washcloths. WHIRLPOOL - it's huge, but the PH chemical levels are completely off so the sudsy mess piles up in the spa making a person not want to step in. The wall has a waterfall, but it wasn't turned on or working on my last visit. The towels are ragged like the kind you'd find in a grandmothers linen closet (yellow, thin, harsh on skin and strings hanging). RESTING ROOM - I do like how peaceful it is in here, unless a bachelorette party or birthday celebration is going on but have that fun girls and don't mind the rest of us trying to relax. There's another room where it's co-ed and more appropriate for chitchat (they have A snack there, too...yes just one snack). In both of these rooms the spa provides a variety of tea, fruit infused water and I think coffee. They have sugar and honey as sweeteners. My FACIAL here was terrible. I don't recall her name but she didn't extract anything and it was a waste of credits/money. Why do we get pressured to tip for this crap treatment? My MASSAGEs were very nice by Jen. She's a kind soul and I would request her again. I had no problem tipping her. Though these prices are outrageous compared to other spas and what you get. I really wish the spa would lighten up on the credit rules. You can't combine credits on one service (lame). You can't use credits on retail/products (really lame). Friday counts as weekend price (why??). Other casino spa resorts allow combining credits, hold monthly promos (each month $85-95 massage and you can use credits on promos). I do not recommend this place until they make policy changes. I don't know, I've spent so much time in multiple spas I know what I love and what I cannot stand. I've turned my own bathroom at home into a serene spa so it's hard to accept anything less. read more

I just had my first 'Best Massage Ever' at The Spa at Harrah's Southern California, and it was the BOMB! It is one of the best full-service spas in our area! I didn't have my hair or nails done, but I would definitely consider those services next time! The spa area/experience is within walls and sizeable rooms beautifully decorated to create a serene and relaxing atmosphere! The staff is very welcoming and helpful, and takes good care of their guests! My therapist was Linda, who did exactly as the massage description advertises! I bought a 70-minute session and it finished leaving me to feel awesome! My husband and I are members of the Harrah's Player Club, so I also received a discount on the service! What I really enjoyed after my massage was relaxing in the salt bath, which was included in my session. The hot and dry sauna room were wonderful, too! I highly recommend this spa, even to myself to return soon, as I live only an hour south of the location! read more

Let me start by saying I am an avid spa goer and I worked in the industry for 7 years. I love Dive, the resort pool at Harrah's so I was excited to try out the spa. Here is my list of pros and cons: Pros Friendly staff Clean lobby Comfortable robes Privacy sheets in between chairs in relaxation room Comfortable temperature of salt bath Nice steam room and sauna Cons We were never asked what size spa shoe we wore simply handed a pair. Mine were mismatched blue and black and not very comfy. Women's lounge was not tidy. I'm used to there being a spa attendant ensuring wet towels and tea cups aren't sitting for hours. The relaxation lounge in the locker area has blaring white lights which is not conducive to relaxing. The salt bath area is actually lit better than this. Wet towels for steam room were only 1/2 wet. Shower area was dirty Overall, for a $40 day use fee the value isn't there. Go to another spa in the area. At this point, I would not recommend this spa to friends or family. read more

I have to wonder if they even care about these reviews. But we'll find out. we are here during Christmas time. And my wife had a 3 appointment. She has been here before and knows that it's confusing for them to figure out times and massages and when they line up. Last time she had a 3:00 massage and they called her at 2:00. But this time she went to the waiting room 15 minutes early. A 5 minutes time is required to be in the waiting room. So my wife got there 10 minutes early. There were several other people in the room that got called but my wife was not. Not until 10 minutes after. Now the last time she got a massage they started her 10 minutes late but still gave her a 50-minute massage. But this time they started 15 minutes late and ended in 35 minutes. that doesn't seem quite fair so in the morning I'll have a talk with them about it. but why does this seem to happen every time? Do I really have to go down there myself to take care of this because my wife is too bashful to say anything? I just don't know. I will add to this tomorrow. But if you're going to sell a 50-minute massage and you start 15 minutes late the buyer should still get a 50-minute massage. How they don't figure that out I don't know. read more

Big disappointment! I booked a couples massage, upon booking I was told we had access to all the amenities. However, they failed to tell me they were gender specific. Being that I booked a couples massage, you'd think they would've told me the amenities were not co-Ed. Along with the pool not being part of the amenities. Every casino spa I have been to include pool access. You can pay separately to enjoy the pool, but seeing the pool area, it was not worth $35 per person to hang out by the pool. With discovering this disappointment upon checking in, I had high hopes for a good massage. Once again, I was let down. I have had better massages at Massage Envy for 1/2 the price. The massage was mediocre and the therapist did not focus on my "problem" areas as requested. I have had a lot of massages at different hotel/casino spas and have never been this disappointed. I used to frequent this place as most services were free based on play. It was a very relaxing place to just sit back and forget about all the stresses of the real world. I enjoyed the sauna and the fruit infused water they provided. Sometimes, I found myself being the only client and had the entire place to myself. All the necessities are provided, from razors to shaving cream as well as styling gel and spray deodorants. What more could you ask for! There are a few lounge chairs and huge TVs to catch up on news or sports. There's also access to the gym with all the equipment available. The front desk clerk, if I remember her name. - it was Melissa was always welcoming and eager to help. I'll visit again for sure as I keep getting more credits to use. About the spa itself, it seems like what you would find in 24h fitness, just cleaner. Very basic. The spa attendant is around all the time. As you can see, my polish is looking shiny and fairly intact and the only real bare parts are where my toenails have grown out. I treated my girlfriends and I to either a 25-minute citrusy body scrub or a pedi (each $65). The pedi was for my 4-month pregnant girlfriend, because the therapists weren't licensed to work on pregnant women, even though my friend's doctor had okayed the scrub. Overall, the experience was nice, but the amenities were considerably more basic than other spas I've been to. The waiting lounge was a bit chilly, so hard to relax in there when wearing not much more than a bathrobe. As for my scrub, I was quite sleepy (had a couple drinks of wine beforehand), but after it was all said and done, I'm pretty sure as I was getting up to put my bathrobe back on that the girl only did 3 out of 4 of my body quadrants while I was face down. I checked to see if this was true in the shower and yup, she missed the the upper left side of my body. By then, I was ready to leave, so I didn't say anything, but that was quite disappointing. read more

If you are looking for a relaxing experience after a fun night of gambling and a great day at the pool...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We have been coming practically monthly to Harrahs as a guest of the casino for years and I cannot believe that they would attach their name, and reputation to this dump. As a Diamond player, we are entitled to a discount ($5, big deal) and when I checked in to simply use the facility, I was told by the girl at the desk with a "I am better than you" attitude that since I did not have my players card that I would be charged full price - $40. Fine, put it on the room and I will deal with it later. I just wanted some R & R, a nice steam and a nap, here is my room and let me in please. As I was signing in, the attendant (forget his name, but not his dumb look) who I had seen before gave a nod. When I walked into the mens area, he was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. After waiting 10 minutes, I decided to get my own locker. Fortunately, I know how to work the locks so I found an empty locker, put all my things away and off to the steam room. I sat in the "steam room" - which should be renamed a "warm room" waiting for the steam to come out for 30 MINUTES. I know from the past that it is on a timer, but come on....30 minutes with no steam???? The other guy with me was confused too. I walked out and still could not find the attendant. I could not find another towel either and had to go back to my locker to get the clean one that was there. 10 minutes later, still no attendant, so I walked out the door into the hallway with a towel on and loudly said "is anyone around to help"? A few people come to see what was wrong and the attendant was there too. I explained that there was no steam in the steam room and he said to show him. We walked over there and the room was clear as the day but when we opened the door, a little residual steam came out and he said with a snide remark "see there IS steam. Now I know this guy has been there for awhile and knows the difference between actual steam and residual steamed air. I said, that is NOT steam and 40 minutes later this still has not come on. He said he is not in charge of the steam and could not do anything about it. I then asked him if he IS in charge of the towels, which there were none to be found, and the water, which both were empty and he said to get off his back, he has a lot on his plate today. STOP HERE: He has ONE JOB...to stock towels and fill water. If that is too overwhelming for him, then maybe he should look for something easier. I then reminded him that I originally looked for him when I checked in and had to get my own locker and shoes and he says that no one notified him I was coming back. WTF???? you saw me signing in! Being more agitated then when I arrived I asked for the manager and he said ok. I waited and when he returned with water to refill the pitchers I asked if the manager was coming. He said the manager is a woman and cannot come to the mens area. SERIOUSLY ??? You couldnt tell me that 10 minutes ago???? I showered and dried off (with the last remaining towel) and noticed all the debris on the floor around the sinks that had obviously been there a long time. I went out to tell the front desk that I am not paying $40 to take a shower and all I wanted was a steam. I also informed them about the rotten attitude of the lazy attendant and one girl had a blank look on her face and the other, I believe was the manager said she would remove the charge if I wanted. HUH... IF I WANTED??? I had more aggravation AFTER the spa than before. The reason for going to a spa is to relax and have a good time, not to be chasing down attendants or towels or water or steam. I will be back at Harrah's a few times this summer and if anyone sees or hears me talking about going to the spa, please hit me in the head. read more

I had the organic facial today with Robin. I have to say it was one of the worst facials I've ever had. 1. For the price I expected more extractions.. well it lasted 30 secs if that. 2. It was supposed to last 50 mins, It lasted 37 minutes from the time I laid down... yes, I timed it. 3 I feel like there's more massage involved that actually working on my problem areas. I got a pedicure here today. I called ahead of time to set up an appointment, and had to give my card information to the spa over the phone. I was expecting the pedicure to cost more than a typical one I would get, but I was absolutely shocked when I was only told at the check-in counter that it would cost me $85 plus a gratuity. The woman who I spoke with over the phone did not tell me how much I would be charged, and I was unable to cancel my appointment. Luckily, I was able to pay for the pedicure after I switched money around in my accounts. I am not quick to anger, but I have to admit I was pretty pissed off that I ended up having to spend about $100 on a pedicure that was not much different from a $20 one I could have gotten from my normal salon. As for the quality of the pedicure, I got a sugar leg scrub and a hot wax mask on my feet, and the woman who did my nails did a good job and was friendly. But will I ever go back to this spa? Never again. I do not feel like I got an $85 service today, and it was very hard to feel relaxed since being surprised with such a huge bill. read more

Not only did Cyndi give me the best facial I had ever gotten in my life, but she saved my life! Advised me to get a tiny, stubborn scab checked out that turned out to be cancerous. When I went back to get another facial, she took the time to check out my scar and recommended another procedure as it healed more. Try this place out! It's a bit pricy so make sure to use everything!! I got a great massage. Diego worked with me, he was helpful and accommodating to my ticklishness and made sure to try and cause pain. The massage experience was very good, got the therapeutic treatment. Afterward I went into the steam room for 20 min, felt tired afterward honestly. Then I went into the sauna to dry sweat everything out. If you've got coupons, use them. The staff here are all helpful and friendly, and it's a clean environment. I wish I could have stayed longer. read more

Three very different experiences today. My husband myself and my mom all went in for massages. I was the only one asked what scent I preferred and offered water at the end. Brian was not a good massage therapist, Linda was amazing and Lynn was decent. One seemed very rushed. Last one to be taken back was the first one finished with massage. Even with time to change and get ready no where close to the 70 minutes. Was back in the locker within 55 minutes, but paid for the longer massage. read more
