I visited on February 14, 2026, for a $200 facial, with checkout at approximately 11:07 AM (per my receipt). The front desk staff member listed as Amanda was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the moment I first interacted with her, even before my service began. Her demeanor was consistently unwelcoming and inappropriate for a hospitality environment, especially at a 4-star hotel spa where guests are paying premium prices. During checkout, she denied taking my credit card and then found it next to her, which was careless and concerning. This type of behavior is unacceptable in a guest-facing role and significantly impacted my experience from arrival through checkout. No guest should be made to feel dismissed or treated with such poor professionalism. When you think of "Luxury Spa Experience" then the first thing that should come to mind is The Spa at Hotel 1000. Everything about my experience was absolutely 5 star in nature. I booked a 50 min massage. Upon arriving, I was greeted by name, got a fancy little aroma towel and was shown my changing area. Well design and crafted, the changing room by itself was pure luxury. After changing into my robe and slippers, I was led to a foot salt soak where I was able to choose from a menu of add ons to my massage. I definitely recommend the aroma therapy. You receive a curated experience of what smells you find that you find love. Then there was the massage itself. I have quite a few massages over my lifetime and this one was the absolute best (give Kirsten a raise please, she's the best!). Overall, it was awesome and I can't wait for my wife to go. My massage therapist was fantastic and she knew I needed a lot of work on my neck and shoulders so she did a mix of deep tissue with hot stone. DESTROYED MY SKIN. Received a gift card to the spa, so I used to it get a facial and dermaflash hair removal treatment. DON'T GO HERE... During the dermaflash treatment, I felt discomfort a few times and then felt actual cuts on my face about twice, two of them leaving blood dripping down my face and neck which I could feel. It seems like the esthetician was not properly trained, since after doing further research you should NOT be getting cut while getting a dermaflash/dermaplaning treatment. It's also very odd that she didn't address the cuts, blood, or anything during or after the treatment. I proceeded to contact management, who gave me a refund only after me calling her and emailing her twice to follow up, and she was not very apologetic at all. I booked an appointment with the spa and when I received the email confirmation, it said that it was going to be a male masseuse. I've been uncomfortable in the past with male masseuses so I called them to see if I could switch to a female. The lady who picked up the phone (I think her name was Spring) said they didn't have any available and that she would let me know asap if she did find someone. I received a text the next morning that none were available. I was busy the rest of the day and didn't get a chance to check my messages and so I didn't see that she had sent another message later that day saying she did find one. I never confirmed via text or phone because I didn't see and check my messages. So it was a miscommunication on both our parts. She called the next day to see if I was still coming and I told her no because she had text me that she didn't have any available and that I had not seen her other messages. Her voice became super annoyed with me and she said "so I assume you aren't on your way right now?" and I said no I'm at home. And then she hung up the phone on me. Did you know that you can hold on to a gift card for Spaahh and it will not lose its value? Hand to God. My right shoulder was giving me problems so I decided it was time to finally use my gift card and treat myself to a much-needed massage. I called Spaahh and I was able to book a "pick me up" 30-minute massage for after work. Seems odd to walk into the basement - excuse me, LOWER LEVEL - of a hotel for a spa, but the world of hotel spas is unknown to me. It was, as if, I was living the script of "Avatar" in my own life. Fortunately, the staff spoke English and not Na'vi. I was greeted by a smiling young woman who WHISKED! me away into the men's locker room. "Your locker is here. The combination is a digital code of your choosing. If anyone tries to open your locker with the incorrect combination, a poison gas is injected into the air. It may smell of verbena. And this bath robe made of angels' tears and gossamer is for you to wear after you've stripped to bare nuthins. After your massage, you are free to partake of the dry sauna and the shower for as long as you like. If you so choose to live in the locker room, that's also fine with us. We only have tea and lemon wedges so eventually you'll need to leave and seek solid foods. You will see size 12 shoes for you to wear around the spa. They are not yours to keep." She left the locker room and left me to my own devices. I must have spun around that locker room I don't know how many times! I felt like Mary Tyler Moore in the middle of a New York only without a smart outfit or hat of my own. I changed. Lo, I was bare. I was led into a relaxing room where I could choose from an assortment of Tazo teas. I made pleasantries with a couple visiting from North Carolina. I told them to enjoy their stay downtown and to please go no further than Pike Place Market. The rest of the city belongs to us. Thank you. It was time for my massage. I was introduced to Joni who asked me questions about my problem areas and where would she like me to focus during our time together. I wish we had more time together, in those first few moments, I knew that I could tell her anything and that she would understand. I mentioned my shoulders and calves. She said okay. Joni quickly found the twists and turns in my muscles. It's as if she knew what she was doing! Crazy. I didn't mind Joni making conversation with me because it helped me to relax. What really needs to take place is an all-day massage session where girlfriend works me over like Kobe beef. I've got tension. I have needs. Who would benefit most from such a place as Spaahh? Clearly, out-of-towners that need to respect the boundaries of where they can travel. But what about people who work in the downtown area that need a bit of rejuvenation? Most certainly, yes! Luxurious, upscale, and cozy. Yes, it's very small which is good when they are not busy, but I can't imagine what it'd be like on a busy day. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my fiance to celebrate his birthday and it was surprisingly empty. Lucky for us! The women's changing room has one shower, one toilet, a set of maybe 10 lockers, and is attached to a dry sauna that might seat 5 people. Everything was spotlessly clean, and they provided really nice Molton Brown shampoo, soap and moisturizer. The lockers are extremely small - my purse could barely fit in there so don't bring anything big. Turns out the men's changing room is exactly the same too, according to my fiance. I used the sauna before and after the massage, and both times I had the sauna all to myself! It's too bad that the sauna is attached to the women's locker room as it would have been nice to have my fiance there too. Anyways, the sauna was clean and well kept. We sat in the relaxation room for a bit, and that too was pretty cozy. They offered us water, dried fruit and nuts, and there was a menu to order drinks and snacks. There was no pressure to order anything though. For the most part, they just left us alone which was nice. They came to get us slightly before our appointment time. We both got female massage therapists as requested. I had asked for a Swedish couples massage for the both of us, but my awesome therapist (Micha) ended up giving me an amazing deep tissue massage because I requested for more pressure. Incredible. Why I never thought to go to a spa in town is beyond me. I'm so happy that the resort in Woodinville didn't have good customer service, because it took me right to Spaahh. Sarah answered my phone call to schedule my appointment. Immediately refreshing! She's so sweet, so personable, and just a pleasure to talk to. Within two minutes I had a massage booked for my boyfriend and I for the coming Saturday. When we arrived, Sarah directed us to the dressing rooms for changing into our robe, then into another room for foot soaking where we were shortly after paired with Anthea and Tara, our massage therapists (is that the right term?). Our one hour massages in the couple's room were such a treat, and much needed for my tense body. Anthea was very unique in the stretching techniques she uses, they felt odd at first but then my body reacted so well to them!! She was also very considerate, making sure that I felt comfortable and at peace. Hands down, the best massage I have ever had. Boyfriend also loved his, but he can write his own review to rave about it if he chooses :) When we were done, we had the option to go into the sauna room but by that point we were hungry and left early (and VERY relaxed!). I purchased a deal for a couples' massage at Spaahh and booked via email for a date ahead of time which ended up to be on a day where there was supposed to be a crazy storm. Thankfully, they didn't cancel on me and it was the perfect cozy indoor experience. We were first brought to our lockers where we changed into thick comfortable robes. We were offered champagne and a foot soak before our massages. I liked that our massage therapists gave us a run down on what to expect (we had some foot reflexology treatment add-on). My massage was awesome and much needed! Although it was supposed to be just a Swedish massage, I appreciated that my massage therapist used a firmer pressure on my shoulders which I apparently really needed. The foot treatment was great too, finished off with a minty sensation. Afterwards, we were able to use the sauna in the bathrooms (not co-ed). Our only gripe from the experience was that the toiletries were a little lacking both in the men and women's bathrooms - my bf mentioned there weren't any hair products, and I couldn't find Q-tips in the women's bathroom. Our package also included valet parking and a drink and dessert downstairs at the Boka kitchen. We were feeling a bit of the bubbly so we appreciated that we could come back within a month to get the other drink & dessert. Whilst my out of town guest was across the bridge working, I decided to indulge in a bit of pampering. Real life has been stressful as of late, manifesting in extremely tight neck and shoulder muscles as well as lower back aches. After reviewing the packages available, and a brief consult with Hotel 1000's amazing concierge, Matty, I decided to book a 2-hour en suite massage. A very indulgent treat, one that I have never availed myself of before. Mila at Spaahh's front desk handled my initial reservation and the day of, Roopa handled my additional requests and I was assured that the massage therapist assigned would be amazing. No lie, in fact, amazing doesn't really capture Jo's abilities and or the experience itself. Jo arrived promptly and she is a pure delight. Skilled, knowledgeable and incredibly thorough. It's clear that she has worked in a high end spa for several years in that she is the model of discretion and yet incredibly personable and friendly. She adjusts to her guests and their comfort level and what it is they are seeking. After speaking with me and selecting the balm she would be using, she set about making me comfortable and talking about the specific muscles she would be working as well as proactive stretches and steps I could take in the future to help ease stress and the tension build up. Really would love to give them another star. Minus a star because it is a small spa with a cozy waiting area and access to a tiny gym that is next to the spa. Tiny as in maybe 4 or 5 cardio machines and a small set of weights. If you don't mind rubbing shoulders with other spa patrons or need to use the gym, then this is the spa for you. I, on the other hand, like to flee from people when I'm not at work or with the bug, and I like to be efficient and get my gym on prior to treatments. The staff here is wonderful though from the receptionists to the massage therapists. I usually go for express treatments. In retrospect, a certain other hotel won't give you gym and pool access with a single spa treatment. You have to buy a package which will set you back almost $300 to get those privileges. So it is pretty cool that you can use the gym prior to a small potatoes express treatment. Luckily for me, I've been able to come to Spaahh at Hotel 1000 a few times during the week so I haven't had to share the waiting area, which made it feel like a little sanctuary for me. I even brought my own noshes from a nearby cafe and when I asked the staff if they minded if I ate it there while I enjoyed the tea and lemon water, it was no problem. *Small, wierd, awkward waiting area* Received a hot stone massage from "Jo" on 9.25.11, she was ahhhh-mazing! I cant say enough great things about her demeanor, professionalism, and her skills! It was the best massage I have ever had! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was bc of the receptionist, who was extremely unprofessional, and did not fit in with the Hotel 1000 reputation/level of service elsewhere in the hotel (I havestayed as a guest before). She seemed nervous, anxious, and said "sorry" about 1 million times, which I find highly annoyin in any setting..... She even came into the locker room 5 (or more!) times as I was getting dressed after my massage, and trying to get ready in peace and quiet. She came in and asked me about my tattoos, my hair, my curling iron, where I live, etc.... I found this VERY annoying and kind of felt like I was at home, with my 2 young kids pestering me while I try to get ready (everyday!!) When I finally emerged from the locker room to pay she had a huge tray of food taking up the entire countertop. I had to set my purse on the ground, bc there was no room for it on the counter, where her burger and fries were sitting. I paid, and left a nice tip, with her, but I would've felt MUCH more comfortable leaving it in an envelope, or giving it to Jo myself~ I did mention all of the above to the manager upstairs (a gentleman), who said he'd speak to the spahhh manager about it. I called a few days later and spoke to the spahhh manager, she assured me they spoke to her, & were using this as a "learning tool".... And that Jo DID receive her tip.... ****Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT EVER GO THERE!!**** I have had THE worst experience, both massage AND professionalism/service here at Spaahh at Hotel 1000. Let me try to give you the run down of what happened....trust me, read the whole thing. So my story begins by me wanting to do something fun for the holidays so I bought my boyfriend and I a couples massage here. The booking went smoothly, and because I'm someone that is very active and gets massages on a weekly basis, I was hoping for an experienced technician with strong hands. I called and specifically asked for someone who can do deep tissue, and they assured me I had someone great. Awesome, so far so good. So we showed up about 20min to the appointment, they show us to the locker room to change. It's true what they say - the locker rooms are tiny, and not very comfortable to change in. I probably would have been uncomfortable changing if another person was in there at the same time with me, but I was just by myself so it was fine. The lockers all have self locking system but mine didn't lock, so the front desk lady had to get her special key to get it to work. Fine, whatever. Sometimes technology doesn't work. The robe they provided me in the locker was missing a tie, so I go ask for that. Fine, sometimes they forget. All small things. Then once you got changed to the robe, they provided us with beverages and we go to the foot soak area. It's basically a small room with basins to go chill. Not the most comfortable/relaxing room but whatever. The foot soak is basically just soapy water, nothing special...nothing close to something you'd get/expect for example at Ummelina or other day spas. So we just chill there for a while until our massage therapists comes and grabs us. My therapist, Regina was super friendly in the beginning and the first thing she said was "I'm VERY good at what I do...." Um that should have been my warning sign. Oh boy how wrong that statement was. So they take us to the massage room, and we get a 50min couples massage. Mine was more like 50min of my therapist petting me and rubbing oil in a way that made no sense. Typically people get massages to get relaxation or muscle tension relief. I got neither. Mind you, I get massages weekly. However, I was NOT at all expecting this to be a mind-blowing experience, more so relaxation and fun with my partner, but this was just one of those 50min where you just lay there, hating EVERY minute of it because you're so pissed off at the technique, and so bad to the point that the massage your 10 year of cousin gives you for 10min for $15 dollar allowance seems infinitely better. It was as though she had ZERO understanding of body, musculature, or how anatomy or muscle groups work, I had asked her to go harder few times without any luck, I literally just laid in agony while she violently shook my arm MULTIPLE times....um is that a massage technique that you learned WHERE? So unpleasant in so many different ways I can't even describe to you. I hope you get the point. Anyhow, it gets even BETTER. (And by better, I mean worst of the worst). So we get dressed, we get outside and my therapist asks how I'm feeling. I tell her "I'm feeling ok". She asks me, "Do you lift weights a lot?" And I go, "Yes, I'm very active in the gym, hence I get massages weekly to relieve muscle tension." Then she goes "Do you do yoga?" and I go, "Yes, I go to yoga 2-3 times a week...why?" and She then proceeds to tell me..."Oh you know you should maybe try to stop lifting so much, your body is too masculine and I think you should try taking up more flow-y exercises like yoga, so you can be more feminine..." EXCUSE ME?!?! I look at her with dismay, like "um, what?" I try to keep calm and tell her that I do yoga...(again) and she keeps going "Oh no, like more feminine, flow-y yoga you know...". This goes on for a little bit. You guys, I am in ABSOLUTE SHOCK at this point. Did a massage therapist, someone who is in hospitality, customer service and someone who of all people, are supposed to have respect for all body types, just insult me by telling me my body is too muscular, and suggest that I stop lifting weights and I should take on more feminine activities? Is this even real. Honestly, loss of words. I spoke with both the assistant manager (right after the incident) AND called the following morning to speak with the spa manage (Ana Michelle) and while they both apologized and acknowledged the "incident", they basically tried to justify the situation for this awful woman Regina by saying "Oh you know she didn't mean it....she has good intent" ARE YOU KIDDING ME. So you're cool with your employees making insulting comments, at a place of hospitality & customer service? Hands down THE WORST experience I have ever had in my life, both service/massage wise, and from professionalism/business practice wise. Please, take your time & money elsewhere. VERY friendly staff. That's always the first thing we notice. It's in a 5-star hotel, but we didn't feel like anyone from the valet, to the concierge, or the spa employees were snobby. Before our massage, they let us chill in a back room and do a foot soak while drinking champagne and reading Car and Driver. Then had an incredible massage by folks who were very good at what they did. After, we ordered food from Boka, a restaurant upstairs that's connected to the hotel, and are it in the back room. Had a pedicure here recently while in the city on vacation. There is nothing like a pedicure while on a walking vacation......Spaahh looked clean, calming and convenient. The spa itself is pretty, zen-like and calming. A previous review mentioned the small waiting area and it is very close when another patron is in the room. It's almost awkward. But, they offer tea or water with orange and blackberries, a nice touch. The pedicure room had 2 seats and would have been a bit awkward if there'd been another pedicure. The seats are more like couches, a change from standard pedicure chairs that I found comfy but some may miss the massaging chairs. Lucky me, I had the room to myself with my esthetician who was pleasant and did a nice job. She was gentle and accommodating. Sadly I failed to mention a couple of callouses so they were not treated. For $50 before tip, it was a good pedicure and a pleasant experience. I agree though that the spa space, or what I saw, is small and the experience would be very different if there were more than one person having a pedicure in the smallish space. read more

In town and needed to finally take care of my Brazilian. Surprisingly found a groupon and was hesitant at first but so glad I went there! Nita took care of me and was wonderful. I am a huge baby when it comes to brazillians but it was honestly very very pleasant. She's comforting, makes sure you're warm, and funny! She did a mixture of hard wax which I was new to and then used soft wax to clean up. It took about 30 minutes which is a little longer than my normal wax but so worth it! read more

A massage and spa experience like I never experienced it before, their massage tables were heated and the technique combined massage with stretching. read more

I've been coming here off and on since about 2012. I was in a couple of Tuesdays ago and had a massage with Leo. It was amazing! I was long overdue. Being in the service and spa industry myself, I can often do trades with other service providers. But sometimes I just want to receive and not reciprocate. Leo has such a great presence and bedside manner. I usually don't like to get massages from males, but Leo made me feel so comfortable, had perfect pressure and knew how to stretch out all the right places. While the treatments themselves and staff were all very pleasant and professional, I was unimpressed with this spa. It's very small so I know that comes with some challenges, however maybe businesses should think twice before offering groupons if they can not accommodate the amount of business it will bring in. I had booked a couples massage with my friend and I for a girls day and called to reserve over the phone months ago. I confirmed twice, yes we want the couples room. We showed up today to a busy lobby and we're quickly ushered into an even busier locker room. No lockers available at the time, the host gave us robes from a stash and told us she could watch our belongings at the front until a locker opened up. We changed in a stall because there wasn't anywhere else to stand then since a locker had opened up, stashed our clothes in one. Immediately on coming out of he locker room our therapists were there. Mind you, we showed up 30 minutes prior to our appointment to enjoy the sauna and relax before our massage. We were not offered champagne or foot soaks everyone mentions nor were we even offered water to drink. We were casually informed at this time that the couples treatment room was already booked and we would be getting treatments separately, despite twice confirming that was what we had wanted. Luckily we didn't mind but it would have been a big disappointment if I had shown up with a significant other. My massage was fine, I have no complaints about the actual service. Afterwards was more awkwardness regarding their built in gratuity. We were planning on tipping and would have probably left more that their automatic 20% but it just seems weird to be presented with a bill afterwards that wasn't transparent in the first place. I think we had a bad experience but that is isn't the normal for them. It seems very busy and chaotic when we were there and maybe they just aren't used to the volume. This place is great! The staff is wonderful and very kind. Yes, the locker room isn't huge, but I don't come to a spa to hang out in the locker room. The massage therapists are fantastic. We did a couple's massage (highly recommended) with Madeline and Navdeep. Wow. Both of them were incredibly talented, and we had two of the best massages we have ever had. Booked a leg and bikini wax. Waxing took twice the time I am accustomed to and was charged $50 extra to wax my toes because they do not include toes with a full leg wax. Can not recommend this spa for waxing services. read more

I cannot rave enough about this spa. Everything from ambiance, to the actual service and the staff are all excellent. I went for a couple's massage that my boyfriend purchased for me for my birthday on Groupon. I had Travis and he had Regina - both are excellent masseuse and very attentive to your needs and pain tolerance. Long story short, I got overheated and I fainted (it's also my fault that I hadn't eaten anything that day) and they were more than accommodating with water and snacks to bring my blood sugar up. They also allowed me to lay down in another room until I felt okay enough to stand on my own. The manager, Natalia was very helpful as well. On top of everything Natalia gave me a birthday gift of the skincare they sell in the spa. Very very very kind and they didn't have to do all of that. Fantastic experience for a fantastic price. Madeline and Travis were fantastic therapists. And I loved the sauna after the massage.
