I chose 10 because it was my very first spa experience, and it was wonderful from start to finish. When I arrived, they took me to the women's locker room, where I was shown a locker I could set with my own personal code. Inside was a white robe, and there was also an area with sandals in all different sizes for guests to choose from. They explained the ins and outs of the spa and told me they give guests the option to arrive an hour early or stay an hour after their appointment to enjoy the pool and hot tub amenities. Honestly, I only came in expecting to get a massage, not to spend extra time there--but after their warm introduction, they made it impossible not to. They told me they would come find me when it was time, so I kept an open mind, put on my swimsuit, grabbed my book, and went out by the pool. Sitting there, reading in that beautiful setting, completely shifted my mindset. When my appointment began, the NEW Stress Elimination Massage - 50 minutes, done by Ashlaye, was incredible and exactly what I needed. Afterward, they gave me a warm neck wrap and offered a complimentary glass of wine, champagne, coffee, or tea. Very nice facility. Staff is pleasant and friendly. It appears they sold my phone number because I keep getting texts about time to book appointments with offer of 20% off. When I call the spa I am told it's through someone they use and I have to contact them. I just want the texts to stop. No matter how I block them they still come thru promoting Riverview spa. I also remember a time when you got facials the rep would actually give advice/ideas about your skin without pushing products that I don't know why I need. Doreen gave me the best caviar facial with lavender salt scrub for hands and feet ahhhh just amazing and relaxing and my skin was glowing. Doreen was sweet and gave wonderful suggestions, love the aromatherapy and facial products we purchased. The spa itself is beautiful with a court yard in the middle with cozy loungers, hot tub and mineral spa with waterfall, complimentary wine or champagne, relaxing music, super clean facilities, robes, slippers, towels locker rooms with everything you need to freshen up afterwards. Sit out by the pool and enjoy their lunch menu. All of the staff are super friendly and we loved that it was co-ed, so couples may relax together. What a great way to spend the day, we don't live in the area but will be back when we visit. We loved it so much, we gave our Daughter, who's attends college nearby, a spa day GC to release some study stress ;-). read more

The Grill on the other side along intercoastal is a refreshing break. Easy walk down past an array of stores, to the beach. A great little staycation from Orlando area. As always, world class service in our growing town. I had a 50 minute deep tissue massage with Tatiana. She was very professional. Not chatty, which was good. She didn't have an extremely heavy hand, not like some people that will leave you hurting. The spa is beautiful. Two pools to relax in. One of which has a waterfall. Soft, soothing music is piped in throughout the spa. Both men and women can go there. They provide bathrobes, flip flops, a heated neck wrap, and a glass of wine, champagne or water. I made an appointment for a pedicure and deep cleansing facial with my nana while visiting. I've been to a few spas and this is by far the best experience - the pool area is so relaxing, complete with cool towels to lay over your face or neck, cucumbers for your eyes and fresh fruit flavored waters! My husband made an appointment for a one-hour prenatal massage to celebrate my birthday and the upcoming birth of our second little one. This was my second trip here, and definitely will not be my last. I arrived at the spa a few minutes before 9 a.m., my scheduled appointment time. I was greeted warmly and brought back to the locker room where I was shown how to use the lockers and offered a robe. There is a relaxation area where guests can wait until they are called back for their appointment (basically a small waiting area with comfy chairs, snacks and beverages). If you'd prefer, you could wait outside by the pool but I chose to wait inside. My therapist, Debbie, came back to welcome me and bring me back to our treatment room. It was beautifully decorated, the lighting and aroma were just right. Especially for this pregnant mama! She explained how she would do the prenatal massage since I can't really lie down on my belly at 28 weeks pregnant. Debbie was able to adjust the massage table to my comfort level, with my feet propped up and my head propped up just how I liked it. She left the room so I could discreetly get on the table and under the sheets. When she returned, we chatted for a quick moment about any problem areas or discomforts I may be having and then she got started. It was relaxing and soothing yet firm, and she really focused on those areas that I mentioned - plus a few I didn't think I needed but absolutely did. After the massage, I put my robe back on and made my way back to the relaxation area where Debbie greeted me again with a cool bottle of water and a warm, scented neck pillow. I sat and relaxed for a few minutes on the chair before heading back to the locker room to change into my bathing suit. Since my husband was home with our 19-month-old and told me "stay as long as you want", I was going to take advantage. I made my way out to the pool area and found a chair in the sun. It was great to hang out by the pool without having to chase around a toddler. There are two pools - one with a water fall and one without. Since I was still having some sciatic pain (thanks, baby #2) I decided to hop in the pool and sit in front of one of the jets. The temperature was very warm. Not quite hot tub warm but definitely warmer than your typical heated pool. If it were any hotter outside, I probably wouldn't enjoy the pool because I personally like a more refreshing swim, than a relaxing bath-like swim. But with the jets and the warm water, it was exactly what my back needed. I think I actually fell asleep for a few minutes... A server walked by and asked if I needed anything, so I grabbed a menu and ordered lunch. Of the 10 or so things on the menu, all but two were salads. I get it, we're at a spa, but a bit more variety would've been nice. You also get a complimentary glass of wine - but of course being pregnant, I had to decline. Next time, my friend! I had to get up and go inside to order at the front desk, which was kind of annoying - I'd rather order directly from the server by the pool so I don't need to get up, dry off and head inside. But with that said, I ordered the Riverview Chicken Salad and it was amazing! Homemade chicken salad on top of a bed of mixed field greens with sliced tomatoes, dried cranberries and cracked pepper. I chose the raspberry vinaigrette and I am so glad I did. A few minutes before my salad was ready, a server came out to ask me where I'd like to sit, which I thought was pretty nice. She set me up in a nice little spot in the shade so I can relax and enjoy my lunch. After lunch, I hopped back in the pool for a bit and again, fell asleep. After almost four hours of bliss, I decided I was ready to undo any stress-relief I had just experience and head home to my toddler and take her to the beach. This was my second time at The Spa at Riverview, but my first time utilizing additional services (I just had the massage and left last time - big mistake!). I will absolutely be back! read more

Great little spa. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside and it's significant is, their pools in the summer are so hot that you cannot cool off. Every guest complained of this same issue and some being frequent customers state that despite complaints this issue remains unchanged. This spa is small so if you're expecting a generous locker room you will be disappointed. Sadly this little gem has gone downhill. I have been a client for the last 14 years. This spa used to be the best around. So luxurious, greater with a tonic follow your treatments, immaculate surfaces. Staff was fantastic!!! In the last few years every time I go back it seems to be slightly worse than before. The last time I was there will be my last visit to this spa. Unless u hear some raving reviews about change. My husband and I had a couples massage. He repeatedly asked for harder pressure and was confronted during his massage and told he did not order a deep tissue massage. She refused to increase the pressure and then he felt as though she purposely decreased the pressure to prove a point. He asked a few more times politely and nothing. My massage was good however the I knew he was not happy and the therapist made it extremely uncomfortable. Women's shower smelt of mildew, the toilet was soiled and the floors were dirty. There was also no toilet paper. The front desk staff was very nice at checkout when we told them what happened they offered us a discount which we refused. It was not our goal to receive a discounted service, we just wanted them to know how horrible the experience was. Any recommendations for other spas in the area? read more
