Went to Paso for the first time for my high school bestie's bachelorette! She wanted to relax at the spa and I was skeptical to get a treatment because I don't like massages. I'm a bit sensitive. I checked out their services online and read reviews here on Yelp before confirming a Tired/Strained Leg Treatment. Best decision ever! I originally chose the Signature Spa Foot Treatment but read that it's mainly just a foot/leg rub/wash done in the meditation room. The strained leg treatment is done in an actual massage room and I wanted to get the full experience. TJ (Tina Jo) was my therapist and I will choose her again and again if I ever venture back to Paso! This woman is absolutely amazing! I was expecting minimal talking as indicated on the waiver but TJ and I had a full on conversation during the 60 min treatment. I was so there for that! She made me feel at ease and it was like talking to a friend. The massage was very relaxing and I did have plenty of calming quiet moments while she got all those knots and strains out of my lower body. She used to be a personal trainer and is so knowledgeable about joints, muscles, and mechanics of the body. I was surprised my mind even thought back to my days as a kid. It really is a therapeutic experience and for me, I'm totally fine talking during most of it as long as the therapist is an excellent, genuine conversationalist (and I'm not super stressed to the point I need to move/work out to get rid of bad vibes). One downside is I was allergic to the complimentary foot soak at the start of the visit. Arrive early to soak your feet in the meditation room. They use hot water and sprinkle in some Epsom Salt. For some reason, my heels started itching like mad even though I've used that kind of salt plenty of times in the past. I tried to wash them off in the restroom. Staff was incredibly sweet and got me a new soak of hot water and sudsy Dawn soap before switching over to plain hot water for rinsing. I felt much better and my feet were completely back to normal after TJ's treatment. They also provide comfy white sandals to walk in after the soak. Water and hot AVEDA tea offered as refreshments too. Absolutely loved my first spa experience! Thank you so much to TJ and staff at The Spa Central Coast! My fiancé and I had one of the best massage experiences we have ever had. He was looking to book us a couples massage on Valentine's morning and am so happy he found this one!!! I had Danielle and he had Keith, and we both left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Danielle was incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Oh wow! What an wonderful spa!!! My husband and I were visiting Paso Robles. On a whim, we decided to try and get massages while we were there. Based on the wonderful Yelp reviews, we decided to give The Spa Central Coast a try. It was very last minute, so I was expecting to be told that they couldn't fit us in but they were able to take us both at 5pm on the same day I called. I went ahead and booked the appointment and immediately started overthinking it. I started to worry that we may have been booked with lesser experienced masseuses, or those whom regular customers don't prefer since they were able to fit us in so quickly. Nevertheless, we were locked in so we went for our appointments. We were greeted immediately upon entering, and taken to a lovely lounge area where we were given complimentary epsom salt foot soaks. From there, we were greeted by our masseuses: I had Iylea and my husband had Danielle. We were escorted to our individual massage rooms, which were very nice, clean and smelled great. We each proceeded to receive the most AMAZING Swedish massages. I've been to some extremely high end spas all over the world, and the quality of my massage was right up there with the best I've ever had. My husband isn't generally a fan of longer massages, and was a bit iffy on getting a massage at all, but he loved his massage with Danielle! We definitely plan on going back the next time we are in Paso Robles. As an added bonus, they had a Tuesday special which gave us a significant discount that we weren't expecting. I decided to take a little getaway between jobs to relax and let the stress of the past year rinse away. And thank goodness I found The Spa Central Coast, because they did all that and then some! First of all, I'd become a bit disappointed trying to find a spa experience within my price range. My hotel suggested this location, and I found a full package within my budget. Perfect! I highly suggest the Take My Stress Away package. With tips it is about $250, and absolutely worth it. Starting with a foot soak in the meditation room, where you can sip on warm tea while you wait for the next experience. Next up was the infared sauna. It was pretty intense! I could feel my pores opening and sweating it all out. Then I had the salt scrub and 75 minute massage. The massage therapist, Liz, was wonderful. She was able to listen to my body and apply the perfect pressure, and checked in often to make sure things were okay. I do tend to bruise easily, so I appreciated the check ins. The massage was wonderful and relaxing. Just what I needed! Finally the facial with I believe Kitty. She was great! The facial was soothing rather than deep cleansing, but again this was just what I needed. I will say that the sauna portion was a little weird. I had never done one before and the person who led me to the room didn't explain it. It's basically a little coffin type thing you crawl into, head outside, and it heats up. When she returned she seemed surprised I was still outside of the device. But a quick instruction and explanation of how it worked and I was good to go! The staff was kind, clean, and adhered to mask mandates. I felt totally welcomed and relaxed the entire experience. I am suggesting this to all my friends who need a little getaway in Paso Robles, it truly made my vacation special! read more

Had an appointment for an 80 minute Facial. I was warmly welcomed by Kitty and she immediately took me to a relaxing room for a foot soak. As far as I know, SLO County still has an indoor mask mandate. Kitty was the only one without a mask. Maddy gave me a wonderful facial. She is great!! Wasn't expecting the CC surcharge at the end. I have called around to several other spas and none of them charge this surcharge. Also, they need to have a "Quiet Only" sign where the facials and massages are being done. Several times there was loud laughing and talking that interrupted the "calmness" of the facial. I didn't rebook another appointment. The combination of Kitty with no mask, the loud people noise and the CC surcharge will have me rebooking somewhere else. Again, my Esthetician, Maddy was the BEST!! read more

I moved here from Los Angeles 2 1/2 years ago, and have tried 6 different massage therapists in north county for deep tissue massage, unsuccessfully. I owned a massage and fitness outcall company, and am very particular when it comes to my own massages. I found Austin two months ago, and I can truthfully say that he is one of the top two massage therapists that I have ever had for deep tissue in the past 20 years. Preface: I suffer with really bad eczema and I've taken topical steroids for over 25 years of my life. I've been doing this thing called Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) to rid my body of all the damage steroids have done to my skin. I was visiting Paso Robles from SF with my partner and was gifted a massage here over Thanksgiving. At the time, my skin was flaring horribly. Kitty was the one who helped me-- she intuitively knew I was in so much pain from the tightness and dry skin that I was a bit apprehensive to get a massage. Therefore suggested to do their seaweed treatment which I was a bit hesitant to at first because I didn't know if I was going to flare even more. Though I took the risk because I was just excited for any opportunity for relief. My skin has significantly improved since this treatment, I'm finally in the process of healing. The seaweed treatment was a godsend, and I was happy to have trusted Kitty with her expertise. I even ended up buying their "I am hydrated & calm" (with Vitamin A & D lotion) and their "Mist of the ocean" spray. These two products are literally the only things my skin can handle right now, and I've tried so many creams. I even went so far to do something called the No Moisture Treatment (NMT) (warning if you look up images of that process) but my body was in need of some sort of cream/moisture. The thing that makes these products work for me is that they contain seawater as an ingredient. I've tried to look up to see if there are any similar cream, but I just couldn't find anything that compares. The good thing is that they ship their products which is great as I live far away. When I go back to Paso Robles, I'm definitely going to go back for the seawater treatment again. It's seriously the only relief I've had since I started TSW (which has been since Jan 2020) . Kitty didn't have to do or suggest that treatment for me; she could've just given me a massage and leave it at that. She wasn't even trying to upsell anything, and out of the kindness of her heart she just wanted to help me out at no extra cost. If that shows you anything about her and the way she runs her business it's that they're genuinely there to take care of you! :) read more

Your system ask new customers to "request" an appointment which is misleading! Your statement is incorrect. I never denied getting an email. What i said, was i received an email confirming my appt the day off at 6:30am! You need to call/email/ text your clients a day in advance. Not 1 and a half hours prior to the appt requested. Stop scamming people from their hard earned money! I highly doubt you paid your employees $320 that you charged me. The most comfortable Brazilian wax ever! I'm new to town and needed to find a place for waxing and skincare. My friend recommended that I see Miranda here so I booked an appointment and had the best experience. The spa is super peaceful, in a great location, offers convenient parking and Miranda was ready for me right when I showed up. The treatment was fast and nearly painless (which isn't typical for Brazilians!) which is everything I want from a waxing appointment. My wife and I had two 60 min. massages the other day and couldn;'t have been happier! Last time we came to visit Kitty's Spa it was in Atascadero. Ambiance - Kind of rustic inside which is cool because you're kind of in the country. Not some new age crap. Very clean and relaxing vibe with very polite staff. Massages - My wife has TONS of knots in her shoulder area and can't really lift her arms above her head. After being "worked on" by Kitty (The owner), my wife was shocked that she could lift her arms and felt great! Lori handled my massage and it's one of the best I've ever had. She found sore areas and really worked on them. She was great! Thank you Lori! The two problems we had were not booking longer massages and being lighted headed when we left! LOL!!! Great experience! I found the Spa Central Coast on Yelp because we didn't have the time for a full day spa treatment. I had planned a full day of relaxing and wine tasting and just didn't have the free time to spend all in one place. Enter the Spa Central Coast! It was tucked away in downtown Paso Robles next to a hipster looking coffee shop. From the moment that you walk in, you already start feeling relaxed because the lobby is filled with calming music and aromas. After checking in at the front desk, we were lead to a prep room where we received a 15 minute foot soak prior to our couples massage. The foot soak consisted of a warm tub of water and bath beads were placed in the tub in a heart shape to represent love. After our foot soak, our respective masseuse came in to collect us and explain the next step. We were lead to our room and given the usual massage process speech. We were then left to prep ourselves and get ready. Upon their return, they got the aromatherapy started and the massages commenced. Stephanie was my masseuse and Kim had Shayla. Both women did a fantastic job. Stephanie definitely worked me over and found all of my tight spots and worked them thoroughly! I felt fantastic afterwards and was ready for a great few days in wine country. Overall, I would highly recommend the spa to anyone that is passing through Paso Robles! This is a nice day spa with relaxing decor and solid offerings with good ratings online. For those reasons I booked a 90-min couples massage for myself and my husband for his birthday ($305 plus 20% tip). This was our first massage in over a year due to the pandemic. They mentioned they would take our temperatures and that masks were required in the common areas so I thought they were covid safe. Unfortunately when our massage therapists came to get us, one was wearing a shield and no mask. The other massage therapist was wearing a mask. This immediately created a stressful situation for me because I had to ask her if she would wear a mask. She said she would, then she walked into the room with her nose hanging out. I asked her if she would be willing to wear her mask properly and she assured me she would. I told her I wouldn't be comfortable otherwise because my husband and I are high risk for covid. I wish we had left at this point. The massage itself was technically fine, but unfortunately I could not relax at all because I had no way of knowing if they were wearing their masks properly. At the end of the massage, the other therapist no longer had a mask on. I felt like this was an F you to us. I just want to let people know my experience in case they are looking for a spa that is serious about masks because this is not it. UPDATE: I spoke with Susie, the spa manager, and she says it is the spa's procedure that ONLY a face shield is an acceptable face covering. This is counter to CDC guidelines. Since their on-line booking system was challenged with booking a couples massage, I called to make a booking reservation for my wife and I. When we showed up, they said we were late (we were 20 minutes in front of the time of the reservation they gave us). Hence they did not offer the foot bath. We also had completed the pre-spa information material a week prior, but the massage therapists admitted that they did not pre-read them. 90 minute massage was then rushed (less than 90 minutes) and the massage was only mediocre compared to other places. They also add a charge for using a credit card so in the end, it was $440 for a 90 minute so-so couples massage. They did give us some free cans of sparkling water at the end. read more

I don't usually like to leave negative reviews and I won't start with this one, consider it more of an "opportunity for improvement". I booked a 60 min leg and foot massage for my husband and I for our anniversary. We were both really looking forward to this as both us consistently have a lot of pain in our feet and sore leg muscles. The facility was very clean, welcoming, and relaxing. We got checked in and were lead to the back of the facility, which is what they consider the "waiting room". This is where our services were to be performed. I knew this prior to booking so that wasn't a surprise or anything. I thought at the time it was odd to provide a service in the waiting room but didn't think much of it. The two therapists who did our services were very friendly and got going right away with the "massage". We were offered bottles of water, which was nice and we started with a foot soak. I was really hoping for something along the lines of good hand pressure with fluid strokes and maybe even some pressure point or very minimal reflexology on my feet. The massage was inconsistent from one leg to the other and my husband stated that his therapist basically just rubbed "circles" all over his legs and feet with minimal to no pressure. In the middle of the service, a couple was walked back to the waiting room by the front desk clerk who very loudly announced all the instructions about where they could go to the bathroom and wait for their therapist. I feel that knowing two people were in the middle of a service, some voice volume consideration could have been utilized. I just don't feel like $80 was well spent on this particular service which was disappointing. I can only comment on the leg/foot massage from this business, hopefully the other services they provide are better. read more

I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. I took wife there to get a facial on her birthday. Kitty performed the facial and ended up talking her into taking care of her eyebrows. Kitty removed more than half her eyebrows and not to mention they weren't anywhere near symmetrical. The icing on the cake was when I received to an email on how the experience was; I responded with my disappointment. The email went unanswered. As someone who works at a desk with a computer all week, I tend to retain tension in my shoulders and arms. A deep tissue massage was much needed. I booked an appointment with Ashly and she was wonderful. Strong yet gentle hands, professional, kind, and attentive to my areas of tension. I wish that I was driven to write this review based upon an outstanding experience but on the contrary, one of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. Here's my story: My husband and I relocated to Cambria in October '18 not knowing a sole but were excited to embark into a new life experience. One of the first things he, my husband, wanted to do was to give me a gift of relaxation so he ventured over Hwy 46 into Paso Robles and found what he believed to be the ideal spa for me to escape. He is 72 mind you, dealing with major health issues and yet the saleswoman did indeed sell him a Non Refundable gift certificate in the amount of $500... Here's where it goes array, I'm deathly afraid of traveling over that highway (notified the owner of my fear) so even if I were to get there, be relaxed/renewed, I would be faced with having to return via the 46. After several months I accepted that this was a big mistake I decided to contact the manager and explain my problem. I was aware of the "no refund" policy but was hoping that being a spa which promotes meditation, Zen, etc. that this might be an exception. HA! I was told that I could use gift it to someone (who has $500 to just "give" away), or they would break it down into smaller amounts for me to gift or to purchase product. Heavens, had this inconsiderate greed occurred in the Southern Orange County area from which I came, the Spa business or any other business for that matter, would be extinct. Where is kindness and consideration when it comes to the mighty dollar? I quit. Sometimes it's better to bite the bullet. read more
