We stopped by on a fairly busy Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately by one of the friendly bartenders without a RSVP - we enjoyed our own private seating area to the right of the bar. Drinks were unique and tasty. I thought "the Hornet" had a nice play between sweet and spicy. My wife enjoyed her "Astrid" cocktail but needed a little more syrup to sweeten it. Fun vibe, looked like a speakeasy but felt like a bar (several loud bachelorette groups were there). Prices are steep ($18-20/drink) but quality and service were good. read more

Disappointed because we are going up this weekend and apparently they recently closed to the public which sucks because it was the one place I wanted to check while in Fredricksburg. I gave it 2 star because I left messages no one called back and finally I sent an email and that when they responded. We enjoyed this place and came back 3x during our stay. It can get busy at certain times of the night since it's a house but I think that's what gives it the character. Overall the vibes were good and the drinks were even better. The live music is a nice touch as well and created a fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back. read more

You better like GIN. I didn't know this and all the serve is GIN. I HATE GIN. LOL This place is small maybe 10 tables or less. I tried my best to like a few drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good drinks. Terrible service. We were completely ignored half the time and did not feel welcomed whatsoever. When we ran out of water, we were rudely gestured to their self service area, which we never knew existed having never been there before. We didn't get all our drinks to start out and most had finished their first drink and were ready for a second before all of us even received our drinks. Yet, no one even took time to take our second drink order. We were ignored and did not feel welcomed whatsoever. And we frequent the area yearly; so we come back to the places we love and appreciate. We had a reservation and were really excited to visit Salvation Spirits with our friends, but unfortunately the experience fell short. We waited over 30 minutes without anyone taking our order. While a wait can be understandable, it was frustrating to see multiple groups who arrived after us get helped immediately and even receive second rounds.We decided to leave and overall had a disappointing experience. read more

Nice place to have a drink . Not your usual bar on Main Street . It's a house turned into a bar .Definitely NOT a speakeasy . As soon as you walk in you hear loud music and loud people so the rules on the website do not apply. I really wanted to like this place. I made a reservation for my husband's birthday. There was no room inside so we were sat outside. Not a problem, the day was beautiful and gorgeous. However, we were forgotten about. When we reminded them that we were outside, we were served and our drinks were pretty good. Fast forward 2 weeks, this time we were sat inside. We were forgotten about again. We reminded the bartenders again. However, even though I ordered the same drink, my drink did not taste as good as the previous stop. Not sure we will be back. It is apparent the guest are not familiar with the fact this is supposed to be a chill atmosphere they are so loud and screaming over one another. The staff is so friendly. We have been to Salvation Spirits on numerous occasions since their opening. Everyone we have taken there has absolutely LOVED it. The atmosphere is dark and cozy, just like a speakeasy. Beautifully appointed decor. The owners are hands-on and very personable, as well as the rest of the staff. We always love the cocktails and they make all of their own spirits. Deliciousness.
