This was the second stop on our wine tasting tour and probably the best one. They had a great selection of Texas wines, which we loved. We did the $30 per person tasting, and Caroline was our host. She was so personable and extremely knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. We honestly loved all the wines here and ended up ordering a charcuterie board that barely lasted two minutes on the table because it was that good. We even purchased a bottle to take home!! They had live music outside and a food truck, which was perfect since we grabbed some food while waiting for our reservation. The property is huge and beautiful. This was one of our stops on a wine tour conducted by Keidel Wine Tours. It was our first stop of the day, and since it was a weekday it was not crowded at all. We spent about an hour and a half during this tasting. The wines were a combination of selections from 3 different Texas wineries and all the ones we tasted were very good. Bobbi, our sommelier, did an amazing job of describing why the Collective was different from other traditional wineries and was extremely knowledgeable of all 3 winery offerings. There are 3 different tasting offerings (red only, combo red/white, and light/sweet) we chose the combo and were not disappointed. We ended up buying a bottle of the Italian Field Blend ifb (white) from McPherson Cellars and the Lost Oak Cabernet Sauvignon. There are outdoor tables where you can bring lunch and eat while enjoying your wines as well. A smaller winery that is very personal and friendly. Ask for Bobbi as your sommelier! read more

I came here 2 years ago and had an amazing time. There was live music and the patio was bustling. I've thought about it ever since. We came back today and did not have that experience. The servers were rude and condescending. They met us on the patio, didn't even let us enter before they said "how can we help you" as if they were confused why we were there. We walked in and said we wanted to get a few bottles and enjoy the patio. She told us to move out of the entrance (literally no one was there) and continued to be rude and snippy. No one was there. The patio was empty. Not live music. And the food truck was closed. Just not the best experience and honestly we almost left immediately when the servers were so rude. We were so disappointed in our visit yesterday, and as you can see from my history, it's rare for me to leave a poor review. It looks very pretty but we entered the tasting room (with a reservation), and weren't greeted, not even a head nod or anything, for about 15 minutes. We just stood there, waiting. Then another family came and waited behind us. They were followed by 3 younger women who were immediately welcomed in and asked if they'd like to do a tasting by an elder cowboy hat wearing somm. We did the wine and cider tasting great information and explanations of what we were served. The Cork & Fork food truck had a variety of very tasty options. We tried a burger, fries, salad and daily special of nachos along with a cookie for dessert. All were very tasty and hit the spot after our tasting. This was a really fun spot to visit! I came with a friend for one of the grape stomping events a few weeks ago and had a blast! It's a beautiful winery, and I can see why people flock here for the music and food! A MUST visit if you are interested in Texas wines. All 3 vineyards represented use their own grapes grown in Texas - unlike some other wineries in the area. Our hostess, Stephanie, was VERY helpful since we tend to not do flights since they usual include wines we are not interested in (rose's, whites,* sparkling). We prefer to taste a couple of reds then buy the bottle to sip on-site. What's great is that if you don't finish the bottle, Texas law allows you to cork and carry. We joined their wine club, 3 bottles for 10% off, 4 shipments/year, cancel after two. Includes a free glass or tasting each time you visit (which included our current visit). So, we corked our open bottle and drank our free glass! *I do like Viogniers. They have one of the best I have ever experienced. read more

Beth and Roxanne are class act folks behind the biz operations making sure the wines (Lost Oak) we tried are everything they can be as well as the grounds of the 3 wineries within TWC. The member events they put on, the wines they offer, the tasting room they have, all amazing! The Meritage and Holiday blends really impressed my wife and I we will say that much. The pop up dinners they do with catering companies are on point! Texas legendary wine maker Jim Evans is a true genius behind the wines of Lost Oak and I'm glad we have him in our backyard making them grapes oh so good inside them bottles! Great members events at the Texas Wine Collective. I was lucky to get invited, and their wine and food paring is such a fun way to spend a Summer afternoon with friends! Giving it 4 due to the hospitality. Given that it's a members event, I thought they'd recognize some of their members and respect all group members. We were guests of several members and when there was a "special red" being offered at the bar, half of our group was ignored. The gentleman serving only directed his attention to 3 ladies and ignored us again when another one of our friends joined the group. He offered the new joiner a pour while continuing to ignore us even though we were part of the same friends group and chatting with our friends. The wine was good, the (lack of) hospitality left much to be desired so we turned down the chance to go to their tasting room; instead opted to drive to another winery in search of better service. He went out of his way to find my wife a glass of wine she would like ("I'll find you one"), and he offered many free tastings before we made our choices. We had a fun conversation with him. Loved this place! We drove out to Fredericksburg and had planned to visit Grapecreek and Heath. Well, a lot of other people had the same idea and it was a bit more crowded than we were comfortable with during CoVid. Cue up, 4.0. It is close to where we were (maybe across the street) so we gave it a try. I'm so glad we did! They have PLENTY of space to spread out and the wine is good! There are actually 3 different vineyards that came together for this tasting room and to make some blends, I think. You can do a tasting inside or you can buy a bottle and some snacks and head outside. That's what we did and it was perfect. We will be back! I wish I had reviewed this place before now, because it would have been the easiest 5 stars I've ever given. We went today for their big "Spazmatics" after-hours event. We live a couple hours away but we've been members here for yearsss and any time we swing through Fredricksberg we get our wine, grab a glass, maybe an extra bottle, and move along. This event, for lack of any more appropriate term, was a total s*^%show. Despite being members, we didn't get our advertised "free glass of wine", we couldn't even pick up our quarterly pick up because it was an "after hours event" (so I guess I won't ever pick this one up because I'm not paying for shipping... plus we overheard someone working there say that they weren't going to have enough wine for this event, despite being an RSVP thing), and i regret to even mention this, but we literally waited 2 hours for the 8 inch (19 dollar) pizza that we ordered (being told it would be 30 minutes max). We left super early with our burnt pizza, overpriced bottles that we should have had as part of our quarterly pickup, and no desire to be part of this winery any longer. We chatted with 3 different groups while we ordered and they all said they were so happy in the past but this place has dropped off the face of the earth in the last year or two. We came here for a wedding on a Sunday evening and this location is just beautiful. Fredericksburg is a gorgeous location. Great venue for a wedding. There is an indoor area with a bar, but we spent most of the time using the outdoor bar near the bathrooms. There is only bathroom (one toilet) for the women outside. We had a great time! read more

We are currently in town for my bachelorette. We stopped by here with a group of 9 ladies thanks to Brookes Bubble Bus. They had everything perfect set up when we arrived at the counter. We were able to choice from three different flights. I chose the red which was a bit sweeter than the wines I'm used to. However they get their wine from three different wineries which was a cool idea. The gentleman serving us was very knowledgeable and originally moved here after Napa. Sadly I forgot to get his name. Out of the three places I choice to get a glass while visiting here. We each had fun here. Some folks on the patio had their dogs. They had live music to enjoy as you enjoy your glass. We are on a road trip from south Texas to Arizona, we found the Texas Wine Collective on the Harvest Hosts app and we decided to request an overnight stay in our travel van. When we arrived, we were introduced to Preston to help us during our wine tasting. Preston was an absolute joy to talk with. He's knowledgeable, kind, outgoing, and made us feel right at home. He checked us in for our stay, directed us where to park and what to expect. We were more than pleased with the service, fantastic wine (we bought a bottle to enjoy and ended up drinking half of it while still standing at the counter chatting with Preston)! We then enjoyed some time on the patio in the cool breeze. We made our way back to the van, set up for the evening and enjoyed a quiet night! We had a great experience at Texas Wine Collective. The place was crowded, but they found us a table very quickly as most people were standing at the counter for tastings. The charcuterie tray was delicious, and the wine was nice. I can say that we would not have had the same experience if we had anyone other than Patti help us. She was an absolute delight. She connected with us on a persons level, helped us decide exactly what we wanted, and changed a wine out for a friend who really didn't like one of the choices. She was very friendly and helpful. We were there celebrating a dear friend that had recently passed, and we could not have had a better person help us honor her.
