This couldn't be further from a true speakeasy if it tried. The music and bass were off the charts loud with hard rap. The drinks weren't made well...mostly sugary and the ratio was off on the cocktails. I wouldn't recommend going if you're sober.

Not quite the speakeasy vibe, more of an eclectic basement bar space. Pool room, performance stage, and bar stool seating/lounge. They have nightly events. During our visit Mon. evening they had a Blues Meetup where musicians sign up for time on the stage. An older crowd this evening. We stayed for about two hours. Happy hour cocktail drinks were about $8. Casual attire is fine.

Had been jonesing to come here for months since they opened. Finally had the chance to last night and it lived up to all my expectations. It's divided into three areas, an elevated bar with velvet seating leads to another room with tables chairs and some cute comfy couches with a stage to listen to live music which leads to a room with two pool tables. The room with pool tables looks like a super fun room to rent for a party. There was an amazing jazz band playing that covered a coupe of recent songs with a jazz twist. Relaxing and entertaining. I particularly love the way the place is decorated with the 20s vibe and the chandeliers etc. They nailed it. It's a beautiful place to be without feeling pretentious. The only recommendation I have for this place is for them to have a cocktail menu. They currently don't have a cocktail menu and even if they added a small menu with 4 signature cocktails on it, that'd be perfect. This kind of place just screams for needing something like that. They have different things going on every night, jazz, karaoke, open mic, etc. Follow them on facebook to get the scoop on the scheduled. Can't wait to come back.

A cool space. It's a pity they don't have a clue on how to run a bar. Crummy drinks, place literally smells, rude staff. Nope.

Stayed at Hotel Boulderado in Boulder, Colorado and had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is…read morehistoric (over 100 years old), and that shows, particularly in the lobby. The rooms are very ordinary, not as they appear when you are booking. It's also in a great location--very close to the University of Colorado Boulder and walkable to a lot of shops and restaurants. The lobby is definitely the highlight--absolutely beautiful with intricate details, a vintage glass ceiling, and a grand, elegant feel that gives you a sense of the building's history. Our room was clean, and the bathroom was also well-maintained. The surrounding area felt safe, which we appreciated. That said, the room itself was a bit dark, which seems pretty typical for many American hotels. The biggest downside for us was the required valet parking. It meant we never really had easy access to our car unless we wanted to go through the hassle of requesting it every time. Because of that, we ended up just using Uber the whole stay. Personally, I would much rather just pay to park and have direct access to my own vehicle. To be fair, the valet staff were always very friendly and welcoming whenever we came and went. We also ran into some minor inconveniences--there didn't seem to be enough robes, towels, or washcloths available during our stay. Overall, it was fine for a short visit. The lobby is stunning and the location is excellent, but the valet situation alone would make me choose somewhere else next time.
