Wow. I live nearby and went for the first time. I got the chicken wings and a cob salad. The portions were HUGE and good and the staff was very attentive even though they were super busy for a Tuesday evening. Cozy atmosphere and reminds me of the old bennigans type restaurant. Had the Rosemary garlic chicken breast. Wait was about 15 minutes. The good: excellent flavor mix between vegetables rice and chicken. There was even a sweet flavor mixed in somewhere which gave it almost a pleasant dessert-ish touch The not so good: portion was smaller than expected. However, it doesn't mean that the portion was improper. Proper portion constitutes a adequate amount of calories and not filling you up to the point you puke if you were to tie your shoe after eating. Portion can be debatable. I did not penalize for portion size. For dessert, i tried the mini chocolate cake with ice cream scoop. Excellent flavor 5 stars for flavor! read more

Went here on a Sunday to watch a big football game and did not have the greatest service (and neither did some of the people around us). We got there probably 15 mins before kickoff and they had a host stand as if we were supposed to wait to be seated but after awkwardly standing there for a few minutes one of the usuals (this was a very clique type bar with what seemed like a lot of usuals) told us to take a seat wherever and someone will see us. We were eventually greeted by our waiter after a 10 min wait or so and we ordered some beers and wanted a second to look at the menu to see what we wanted for food. This guy took forever, especially for a place that was not very full at all and seemed to be well staffed. Finally we were able to order chips and queso which were very good! It came with salsa and we ended up needing a second basket of chips to finish all of them. It took forever to get that second basket of chips though and it was like pulling teeth to get more beer, our tab probably would've been twice as much if he would've looked over at us every now and then. The most frustrating part is he would check up on a couple of tables that I'm sure were some usuals that come in quite a bit. The table to our right had 4 ladies and he would check up on them ALL THE TIME but my girlfriend and I as well as the group of 3 gentlemen next to us got terrible service. When they dropped food off for the gentlemen he never checked up on them again and one of the guys' order was completely butchered and by the time the waiter checked up on him, his buddies were about finished with their meals. Plenty of tv's, comfy booths, beer was cold, the food we had was good, the food we saw looked good, but if you want anyone to serve you- go somewhere else or at least come back enough so that someone will start to recognize you and actually take your order. It's not far from a country club so maybe that's where the clique-type atmosphere comes from lol Whatever it is, don't come here if you want to feel welcomed or have good service. Recently found this place for a quick work Happy Hour. It was our first time there and it was great! The wings and blue cheese chips were amazing! Everyone was very satisfied with their food and beer selection. We will definitely be back! Only thing I wish they would do is have the music a little louder to set the vibe. Met my sexy boo and her friend there for nosh. The decor is a bit outdated but not too bad. Max took care of us and he was great but his evil clown mask freaked us out a bit. Service was on point. I got the Philly with toys.....philly was hot and yummy while the tots were like froze ones from home. My boo got a chicken sandwich and it looked yum whole her friend got the fish tacos and ate every bit. Prices were reasonable and it's in a cool shopping area. I could say I know my way around a burger. Me and the wife were looking for a late night burger and we remember we saw this place the other day. I called and the manager answered and he couldn't have been more friendly. Now for the burger, we both got the same burger, Caddie master burger, (grilled onions with mushrooms & Swiss cheese) we both agreed that this was the best burger we've had in a while. It absolutely hit the spot. We will definitely be coming back to this place. This was the first burger I've had with mushrooms on it & I think from now on it's gonna be a thing. Ordered water to start while deciding on drinks got that really quickly, good water. Waited at least 30 more minutes waiter never came back we left. Very unfortunate. It's time I write something about this amazing sports bar, considering I have been coming here since over a year now. This is our go-to lunch place on Fridays. My team is in love with Spirite Grille and so am I. I have never had beer or any other alcohol here, since we come during work hours. But I have heard there beers are good. Our favorite favorite server is Ashley. She is sweet, funny and helpful. She gets done faster then anyone else. Very attentive and understands your order, will suggest you more options if you want. They have several screens with all the possible games and what not. Perfect sports bar feel. It's really a gem of Irving/ las colinas. Looking for a neighborhood bar in Las Colinas? Well Spirit Grille might be the option for you. First, know they are a sports bar, but a sports bar with one of the larger menus that I have seen. Just their salad menu that they cleverly title "Greens and Fairways" has over 11 choices on it. Or a 14 item appetizer menu titled "The Pratice Tee". You get the idea, I did not even tell you about the main entrees and we are already 25 items on the menu. As I have learned from watching way too many Gordon Ramsey shows, a huge menu is often more of a curse than anything else...after a few visits I am still trying to find that one thing they do really well...but perhaps that is lunch. At lunch they subscribe to the 7.50 price point, which is not bad for the area they are in. Average lunch in this area is probably in the 12-13 dollar range, or at least that has been my experience. We found this place with Yelp after having to take care of some personal business nearby. We wanted to eat lunch. When we first walked in we saw a bar and thought it was smaller but there is a huge dining area off to the right with booths and tables. It is an open smoking bar which we don't mind and actually prefer because I vape. Anyway, we ordered the Reuben and the chickens died chicken. Both were phenomenal. The bartender served us in the dining area. He was super friendly as charismatic. We told him we have been been in the area for about 11 years and never knew this was here. I have come here for lunch a few times and the food is really good. The cheese steak is probably my favorite. Not greasy, soft bun over loaded with steak and mushrooms and onions and peppers and cheese... YUMMMMY! And their home made chips are awesome! Yes, it is a little smokey, but they warn you at the door. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but whatever, man - that cheese steak is no joke! I also have tried their spinach artichoke dip. Im not sure what makes it glow in the dark, but as I stated before... whatever, man - that dip is delicious! This is a good neighborhood dive. First of all this is a bar. There is a pretty regular group of customers that are here to drink the afternoon and night away. They are generally a cheerful lot. One might be surprised however, to find that they have a full menu and almost all of it is pretty good. Typical bar food offerings: Nachos, grilled sandwiches etc. In addition you will find a number of good pasta dishes, meat entrees, and some tex-mex offerings. I have had most of the menu and it is all good. Not great, but for what you would expect from a joint like this it's good. The queso ranks among my favorite in the area. "good" count thus far? 4. Thesaurus anyone? Damn my failed and overpriced education. On occasion it can get pretty crowded on weekends. People will pile in for the games. They have a markedly unfortunate karaoke set up every now and again (complete with plastic guitar prop!). I take it back; it is not unfortunate it's hilarious! Grab four friends. Snag a table, and get hammered whilst you laugh at karaoke nerds. Or, if you work in the area and decide you're knocking off work a bit early, head to Spirit with a pal. I've been going to the "Grille" for some time, and even though I've been away for the past two years, nothing has really changed. The same faces, the same bartenders and the same great atmosphere. Whether you just want to sit at the bar and have a couple of drinks or come down for karaoke on Friday night, this is a great place. It's worth noting that the food is top notch, and I'd have to give it 4 stars, not anything you would expect to get at a bar. And the prices are reasonable too. Nice neighborhood bar in Las Colinas, across from the Four Seasons. Although located in an affluent area, there is no pretentiousness here. Great service, friendly patrons, lots to choose from with ample televisions for the sports enthusiast. I had their buffalo wings last night, which were outstanding. Great local dive! I skipped out on the Four Seasons wonderfully hyped internal restaurants for some local flavor. I chose Americana over some Tex Mex but it turned out great. What can I say.....great bar good in the fried cheese and bacon cheese burger. Service was excellence and they made me feel very welcome. Clear choice as the watering hole for the locals.... I don't get down to Irving very often but for an out of towner looking for a good meal without the glitz of "Four Seasons" pricing or elegance, this is the place! read more
