I texted Bill at The Sprinkler Fixer on Sunday about three irrigation repairs I needed. By Tuesday morning, my irrigation pipe leak was repaired, a broken sprinkler head replaced, and an additional drip added. Bill worked without supervision, expertly completed all three tasks, and summarized his work. This made the second time that The Sprinkler Fixer has come to my irrigation rescue. The first time I called him, I had already paid hundreds of dollars to "handymen" to repair my irrigation system without getting my sprinkler system fixed. I was desperate. The Sprinkler Fixer fixed my irrigation system in less than two hours at a quarter of the cost I had wasted on handymen. Bill is a professional. He is reliable. He is competent. Absolutely confused about how this is even a real company. My backyard zones suddenly were not running any water (front yard still functioning just fine) tech came and immediately ran to the valve box in backyard and diagnosed that all 4 valves needed to be replaced for $520. What do I know about irrigation? So, I agreed. Valves got replaced and still no water arriving to the backyard. Going to come back after the holiday weekend to finish repair. Never got on the schedule for this repair. If you can get them to answer the phone she's super nice, but also no results. Finally I get the explanation that the original tech's dad "doesn't wanna make the drive out there" to Gilbert so they tossed my phone number to another company. So, they just gave up. I'm out $520 and my system is in the exact same condition as it was - not working. I hired another company and they quickly came out today and diagnosed that I need a replacement 3-Station module in my timer box. (Gosh, ironically the 3 stations that fuel my backyard). My sprinkler system was over 25 years old and the PVC lines were constantly breaking. I had Bill at the Sprinkler Fixer replace all the lines, drips, valves, and timer with the highest quality materials so the system would last a long time. Using the best stuff was not that much more expensive and I feel confident my system will give me years of low maintenance use. Bill did a great job setting it all up with the different trees/lush plants/desert plants/vegetable garden stations I requested. Very happy with his work and I would highly recommend him. read more

Had a broken riser...flooding everywhere. In addition to fixing it I wanted them to inspect and then replace and adjust the other heads. Well, mission accomplished. Mostly. The broken riser was replaced so the major problem solved BUT Nick(?) replaced with one with oscillating spray- the heads that spray out in a "pinwheel" manner. Every other head is the most common, ordinary head. I wasn't really in a position to complain. The cost was fair and the leak/flood resolved but I am still a bit annoyed that I wasn't told of the different type of head before doing the fix. Conclusion: meh read more

I recently contacted Bill for a sprinkler repair...scheduling the work was the biggest issue. He was supposed to come on Friday afternoon. I waited for him, however, he no showed and didnt answer when I called him....then someone called to come fix the issue on Sat....the person didnt seem too qualified and said he needed to re-schedule the repair. He said their office would call to schedule...no call...then on Tues I got a call from Bill who said he was in the neighborhood. Not sure if he would have been able to fix the issue, but I didnt want to wait. If you are home all of the time to be there whenever they show up, they might be for you. read more

I hired this company to route a new irrigation line (because I got a soft water system). I also hired them to replace the sprinkler valves and replace my entire drip system. When I started having problems, they would not stand behind their work. First, the siphon valve next to the valve box started leaking. They told me I had to pay for it because they didn't touch it, even though they worked all around it. During that repair, they somehow knocked all of the electrical connections to the valves loose and I had to rewire. A couple of months later there was a problem in a drip line and I may lose a tree. They never did come out for that. Several months later, a pest control person found a leak in the valve box that is causing a significant insect problem in my house. The guy that came out to fix it rolled his eyes at the small leak but said they would switch things out and fix it. Nothing could be further from the truth. It looks like they just cut some pvc pipe and fixed an easier joint to make it look like they did something. The leak is now worse than ever. And while I was explaining the leak, he cranked on the siphon valve that they had replaced a few months earlier. I heard it crack and I knew he broke it. And now there is significant leaking. He told me I would have to pay for parts for what I watched him break. I had another contractor out today who says that they used the cheapest materials possible and the sprinkler valves they installed may not even be new. They are already missing the flow handles. That's a lot to read. So to summarize, they are affordable but use cheap materials and won't stand behind their work. read more

We hired Bill and Rick (The Sprinkler Fixer) after careful consideration of 4 competitive bids. The job scope included installation of a new drip system in the front yard among established plantings. It also included full replacement of a 10 year old drip system in the back yard and repair/tune-up of two lawn areas that encompassed 3 zones. The guys arrived on time, worked until the day ended with minimal breaks. They followed up the next day to complete a few minor open issues (less than 30 minutes). Bill promptly responded to each of my silly homeowner-type text questions without any attitude or hesitation. Their work is EXCELLENT. The lines are clean, uniform, appropriate for each plant and without leaks. The clean up is EXCELLENT. Bill told me I wouldn't be able to see that the Team had been there when he was through and he was totally serious. They use the upper end products by Rain Bird which is a heavier duty product than our local big box stores carry. Professional, polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. I was referred to this company by a sprinkler warehouse. I tried to contact Bill but his son answered the call, his son asked me to text pictures. Being a quadriplegic is can be difficult to take pictures and texting can be challenging. I did as was requested and included my home phone on the texts. Bill call and set-up a time to look what needs to be done, no problem at this point. But when it comes time to do the work. I received a no call-no show twice, on the third time Bill text my cell (my cell is emergency use only) I found his text 2 weeks later. One month later I cross paths with Bill, he said I never returned his text. Again, I explained my cell phonies emergency use only. Bill advised me that he have more staff and he can do the job on Monday. So that night (Friday)I texted my full name, address, contact number plus I requested an approximate time he will be in on Monday. Well on Sunday evening a received a text he had to re-direct a few things send him a description on what needs to be addressed. At that time, I said that was the 4th time you blew me off... Great responsiveness; able to come out and give us a quote in a timely fashion. We had inappropriately planted trees in the middle of summer and needed a deep water drip system as well as a revamp of part of our yard irrigation valves--all things I was aware of prior to making calls. Bill gave me an upfront quote based on footage and pricing for valves which was significantly lower than others who seemed to just throw out numbers. I use Yelp religiously for all my service providers and found this to be another excellent experience. read more

In January 2016 we had Bill come out to fix a leak that we had. After looking, he suggested that we replace the valves, so almost $400 later he was done. Since the grass was dormant, we didn't use the sprinkler system till March or April. I noticed that the area where the replaced valves are it flooded and the zones in the back yard were not working. I texted Bill and he came out several times and "fixed" it. Never spoke to us when he was here to see if we were satisfied or explained what he did. When he was here, it appears that he never tested the system otherwise he would have noticed that the wires for the zones in the back yard were not hooked up to the timer and the timer was not working correctly. We texted Bill about a new timer since he installed the current one a few years ago, and he said $225. We contacted Sprinkler World since they repair timers and they said to bring in the timer and they would look at it to see if it needed to be replaced or fixed- but to take a picture so we could put the wires back in the same order. They soldered the timer for free, nice guys. There were no wires connected to the zones for the back yard- so how did Bill fix it when it was not hooked up correctly? We ended up hiring another company to fix the incompetent work done by Bill. read more
