This was my first time here. This is a newly open location. Now this is a great place to hang out with family and friends. As well as watch a good sports game. The noise a hair loud, but you really don't notice it. The ambiance is a casual sports restaurant. Very clean and filled with polite staff. Both server Mike, and behind the counter Jacie was so polite and on the ball. Jacie took the time to explain the menu and help with new membership. Yes I said membership. You can collect rewards point, and use them to discount and free items. I highly recommend joining. The food is prepare great. The Chimichurri Steak Salad was outstanding. A little heavy on the citrus side for me. But filled with flavor. The kids Teriyaki is a nice small portion for a child. Juice chicken, with a sweet sauce. The Miso Salmon Bowl, had a nice flavorful Salmon. That is what made the bowl. Now if you don't have sugar issues. I recommend the shakes. These are a nice sweet treat. You cannot go wrong with any choice. Last, if you like spices sauce. Get the Jalapeño Sauce. It's great with steak. I definitely will come back. read more

Went there yesterday and while their ap stated they opened at 10:30, their actual hours are 11:00 but we were greeted at the door at 10:35 and they let us in. It's one of those new walk up and order places where you order and they give you a number to place on your table. The premises were super clean and the staff were super friendly, attentive and interactive from the cashier to Ray. Food was excellent and I'd definitely wander over to Santee from Rancho San Diego, (and my girlfriend from San Diego proper), to enjoy a lunch again. The Stand is a family friendly burger restaurant which caters to the local community by offering American classics with its own twist. You'll find the space to be ample which is good because it draws a good amount of people around dinner on the weekends, especially when there's a padres game going. There are giant TVs on the walls so everyone can enjoy something with their meal. The staff were all friendly and very polite. They have plenty of people delivering food and helping anyone who needs something. The food came out quick and was delivered without issue. The food was ok. The burgers have some amazing toppings and combinations but the patties themselves were very underwhelming. The fries were ok but nothing too special and make sure if you get fries to ask for several of the sauces they offer because you only get a very small container of sauce ( even ketchup) in each little cup with no table ketchup to be found. The best part of the meal was by far the cookies n cream shake. That was a perfectly made shake with lots of cookies. So if you're in Santee and feeling like a good specialty shake maybe try out the Stand, if you're wanting a good burger, you're better off going across the street to In-N-Out. read more

Another visit to the stand. We have gone back a number of times and had a great experience each time. Tonight we each had salads. One was the kale and quinoa crunch with chicken and the other was the steak chimichurri. They were both delicious. We've also tried the green beans and absolutely love them. Service is great. My whole family loves this place so it's an easy choice when we're deciding where to eat dinner. My son says the ABC burger is his favorite burger on Earth. I love earning points on the app for coupons and free food. Visited The Stand for the first time last night. We were so impressed! The Stand sets the benchmark for casual, fast food dining. They've done an amazing job of hiring the right staff; staff with great attitudes and enthusiasm for preparing tasty food and providing a great customer experience. I ordered the French Onion Soup burger medium well and my wife ordered a turkey burger with pepper jack cheese. Both were perfect! I also appreciated the selection of draft beers served nice and cold in a glass. We shared sides of fries and onion rings; both were good and not at all greasy! Note: I almost never give 5 star reviews, but the restaurant executes its concept to perfection. One suggestion... how about a couple of ciders on top in time for summer? I stumbled upon this restaurant in Newport Beach and was stoked to find out that they have one in Santee! All in all, we love this restaurant because it has something to offer for everybody in our family from hamburgers to salads to hotdog, all of the above! And the food is top-tier. I got the egg burger, which isn't my favorite other restaurants, and it measured up! My kids love both the hot dogs, and the burgers. Our family has been huge fans of The Stand coming to Santee. We've eaten here plenty of times since it opened and always enjoyed it. That said, the last two times our food has been really poor quality, mislabeling food with allergies (Gluten Free), and all around quality control issues. Picked up a totally wilted Cobb salad the other day and today ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl with overcooked rubbery chicken. Not likely to be back anytime soon. read more

Popular chain comes to Santee, which is definitely a nice change of pace from other options in the area. Despite just opening, they've been on top of their service. So far I've been twice to this location. First time I ordered the jalapeño bacon burger, which had just the right amount of spice. I'd recommend adding a second patty if you're a big eater. On my second visit, I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was good, but a little on the smaller side. All the entrees are served individually so you'll need to order sides along with it. For the craft beer enjoyers, they have a good selection of house beers and additional options. Plenty of sitting inside and out, but you'll need to plan accordingly for larger groups. Came to The Stand with a party of 5. Ordered a few burgers (ABC and Jalapeño Bacon) and two salads (Southwest and Kale Quinoa Crunch) with sides to share. Burgers were delicious and cooked as we requested! If you're really hungry, make it a double! Especially if you don't want any sides. Highly recommend the Kale Quinoa Crunch salad, it was crisp and light. Shared a cookie butter crunch shake for dessert and it was incredible! Grilled cheese is one of my favorite foods, so I'll admit I'm a bit biased--but this one was genuinely well made. Everyone was very hospitable, and the people in front of me were extremely kind and even let me order first while they decided. I was super excited that a new place was coming to Santee! Overall it was pretty good. I like the mustard dressing on the brisket sandwich and the pretzel bun. The onion rings were good too.
