Came to The Stand with a party of 5. Ordered a few burgers (ABC and Jalapeño Bacon) and two salads (Southwest and Kale Quinoa Crunch) with sides to share. Burgers were delicious and cooked as we requested! If you're really hungry, make it a double! Especially if you don't want any sides. Highly recommend the Kale Quinoa Crunch salad, it was crisp and light. Shared a cookie butter crunch shake for dessert and it was incredible! You walk in and order then find a seat and grab a number. Drinks is help yourself. They also have beer and wine. Price is reasonable and the amount of food is good. I was super excited that a new place was coming to Santee! Overall it was pretty good. I like the mustard dressing on the brisket sandwich and the pretzel bun. The onion rings were good too. My boyfriend and I love coming here when we're craving burgers and/or chicken sandwiches. Their fire sauce is a personal favorite of mine where it starts out soft like a Chipotle sauce, and then slowly sneaks up on you. I put that sauce on everything more than I would Frank's hot sauce. The pickles they have near the registers are always fresh and crunchy, and as a pickle lover that just put that extra add in that sends it way over the top for me knowing other places don't really do that for people. Went to the Santee location, which is close to my work, ordered a turkey sandwich, 25 minutes later my lunch was almost over and still no sandwich,, asked multiple times and they look like they had no clue about my order. Finally, I asked for my money back since I had to go back to work. The manager didn't even apologize and gave me my money back and I walked out. 4.5 stars I wasn't expecting much from this place. I thought it was just going to be another burger and salad place. I was wrong. We were greeted by friendly service at the cashier. The line was long initially but it moved quickly. We ordered the Havarti Shroom Burger, Peri Peri chicken bowl with salad/rice, and sweet potatoes. We were blown away. This was the best burger we've had in a long time. The bowl also had generous amounts of chicken, plus 50/50 salad and rice. Usually the rice in rice bowls are just mediocre, but this rice was perfectly fluffy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were also really good. I like how the staff clean the tables. Although if they are busy, it may take them a while to clean up tables. I subtracted half a star because it did take a while for us to receive our food. Maybe they were short staffed in the back. The brisket grilled cheese is perfect if you're in the mood for something comforting and filling. The fresh baked cookies are the best way to finish the meal since milkshakes aren't kind to my tummy.
