It was good but not great. The spicy mustard was unevenly applied so was missing on my half and was badly needed. The Don sandwich last week had meat spread throughout and the fries in the sandwich were crunchy and not limp like today's sandwich. We also had naked BBQ wings that were good, but again, not as good as we had last week. The wings were bigger, meatier and better sauced last time. I thought this place was great. Has a fun atmosphere. The service was good. We arrived on a weekday (Friday) during lunchtime. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with coleslaw. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. Very different from any coleslaw I've ever had before. Not saying it wasn't good. Just wasn't my thing. The sandwich was good. My son ordered a huge sandwich (can't remember what it was called) and it has coleslaw and fries inside. I snatched a fry and they were so good! Three people, three sandwiches and under $40. Stopped in this past Sunday on the 4th of July weekend to a mostly empty restaurant. Seemed strange on what was a holiday weekend. Been here before with some friends about a year ago so we kinda knew what to expect, but this time was different. We were seated promptly but took a while to get a server to acknowledge us and even longer to get our orders (onion rings, wings and salad and a sandwich). I don't think we ordered anything complicated. Luckily the food was on par with other locations we've been too so no complaints there other than they brought everything at once. Not sur why we bothered ordering an appetizer if its gonna come with the main courses. When our server did stop by she was pleasant and checked once to make sure our food was alright. We were greeted and seated by Tamara, who was also our server She was friendly and gave us all the info on the specials and selections which as first timers was appreciated. The sandwiches are legendary- epic in size taste and unique! The Original PB Reubens was incredible, fresh meat, topped with cole slaw and French fries, tomatoes on fresh sliced bread. Wow! The Resturant is located in a shopping plaza with off street parking. Started with wings with garlic Parmesan and Korean BBQ .The wings had plenty of meat. The Korean BBQ was the best. Just north of beautiful downtown Lancaster, you will find a sandwich gem. Primanti's, home of the delicious oil and vinegar based cole slaw, french fries on the sandwich, and giant stuffed sandwiches that are so big there is no way to possibly eat them neatly. Eat them with your hands? Messy. Fork and knife? Surprisingly, even more messy than using your hands. But these sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Served on fresh sandwich bread and packed high with cole slaw, french fries, tomato, meat, and cheese (and onions if your heart so desires, which my onion-loving heart does) these sandwiches are delicious and amazing. Fantastic! Just don't even think about ordering the french fries and cole slaw on the side, or, God forbid, forgoing the cole slaw. If you're going to do something lame like that, you might as well go to Subway because your taste in sandwiches is terrible. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience. I love this restaurant. At least the other locations. My particular waitress may not have had a good day. My order was wrong. They graciously took it back and made the correct order. The new double meat menu item, replacing the big bro, did not seem like double meat at all. I would hate to see what single meat was. Got there around 3:30p on a Saturday. Not busy, a few folks spread throughout the restaurant in different sections, I guess to make it fair. We sat at the bar. Bartender seemed pretty knowledgeable and pleasant. Downside, the bar offerings are very basic. I'm a tequila fan- no reposado anything at this location. However, the golden margarita was pretty good. We placed our order, Rueben Sandwich, 5 garlic parm wings, 5 Korean BBQ wings sauce on side, house salad... then the wait began! Called in an order for pickup. Fast and attentive service, food was ready in 10 minutes and staff was on point. Chicken tenders and fries were standard, solid for the kids. 2 sandwiches both missed. Each had one paper thin slice of cheese, you have to search for it. As the sandwiches are engulfed in overgrown slices of bread, they could be a bit more generous w the meat. Vinaigrette dressing didn't even register. If forced back, I would def stay away from cold cuts and do chicken or a burger. If I want cold cuts, better off at subways or Sheetz across the street. Hadn't tried this place before because from the outside it looked like too average compared to the many great restaurants in Lancaster. Glad we went today because these might be the best wings I've had in Lancaster. At least tied for first for the best wings I've had for as long as I can remember. Inside is a sports bar feel, very solid and clean. The sandwiches were ok, I personally would like them better if the bread was buttered and toasted. Just a fresh slice of very average white bread for the sandwiches, interesting choice. We'll be back for the wings tho and the service/ambience. We'll try the pizza next time. read more

Went here for lunch, waited for 10 mins to be seated when it wasn't even busy. Then waited another 5 -7 min for our server. But for some reason, the people who sat down after us got waited on first. Ordered drinks, my wife got a small Coors light and I got a Guinness. The waitress ask tall or large and I said, a Guinness only comes in one size and its own glass. She tell me no, ( knowing that she's wrong) so I ordered a tall and she gives me a small. SMH. There were 8 of us and the first two orders came out after probably 25-30 minutes. Waited another 15 minutes for two more sandwiches, then maybe 10 for the last four. Fries were ice cold. Restaurant was probably less than 1/3 full. Had similar experience last year, so I think we're done with this place. read more

Ordered Tall Boy Double Roast and Cheddar; added an egg. Sandwich was plenty large but not from the meat. Height comes from fries, coleslaw, and tomatoes, which is a letdown when selecting extra protein option. Egg was hard cooked, rendering it a pointless addition. Husband ordered Pittsburgher commenting the burger patties were tasteless. The meal was filling and affordable. The service friendly. But both sandwiches lacked flavor. This was one of the smaller Primanti Bros locations that we've been to, located on the end corner of a shopping plaza. We were there on a Saturday for NFL playoffs and they had a decent crowd to watch the games. Our bartenders were great and despite the full bar they were very attentive. Really enjoyed our visit to this outpost of the Pittsburgh classic. Large sports bar decor with many Pittsburgh related photos and local sports photos. The service was very accommodating. Our server quickly changed our table when my wife mentioned she was cold. We enjoyed our Hand Cut Onion Rings they were truly colossal, very crisp and not at all greasy. Some of the best I ever had. Our sandwiches where also huge, well made and very tasty. My sandwich was stuffed with delicious Pastrami,provolone cheese ,crispy fries, creamy slaw and tomatoes held together by sturdy bread. What a classic sandwich. My wife and daughter shared but almost could not finish their Turkey Bacon sandwich. These huge concoctions were under $10 and a bargain. I come here often when in town from FL. I enjoy the beer specials and the service at the bar. I happen to come while a Penn state game is on and unfortunately had the worst experience as a paying customer by surrounding paying customers. the pen state alumni association definitely put a damper on my experience during my visit to the restaurant. i've never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome in an area by normal paying customers. definitely a not a great experience I feel bad for anyone surrounding that isn't a a part of this association because they will make you uncomfortable and unwelcome. If you don't consume it in under 10 minutes, the crust is sopping wet. Reheating it is akin to trying to toast a bog marsh. We went in at 4:30; food came out at quarter past. The waitstaff acknowledged the order was taking too long, especially because they weren't event at half capacity, and brought my son's kid's meal out before the pizza was done. I ended up throwing the entire 2nd pizza (BOGO offer) in the trash when we got home. My wife and I split a sandwich and ordered a side salad. This was the perfect size for us. The kids meals are very reasonably priced at under $6 including drinks. Another nice touch was the small bag of goldfish in the kid's menu. Our food was brought out quick, but the place was pretty empty at the time.
