We came here for Mother's Day, got there a little before our reservation time (made on open table) and they were able to go ahead and seat us which was nice. The patio area has a really cute vibe with various types of tables and a bar. I'm one of those that looks up menus before I go to restaurants and I will say the menu had some slight differences in brunch offerings. I do wish that they offered more of a brunch selection but everything we had was good but simple, no frills but reasonably priced. I would love to go back for their burgers because those look amazing! Street Parking

    NO bun. Texas Smash.

We sat by the one of two outdoor fireplaces, PERFECT atmosphere. Servers are so personable and accommodating to your dietary restrictions.

New menu... (3/31/23) sadly, some of my favorites didn't make the cut.

Sadly, the new menu axed the Sweet Heat Mule, the Mac n cheese, the hummus dip... among others. What was one of my favorite spots for an afternoon bite and drink is now just another place with decent bar food.

I can't comment on the food, we had a reservation through OpenTable but did not stay. We went for Brunch after looking at the menu online. It seems that menu is outdated and the current menu lacks several of the items shown online including Oreo pancakes and a Nutella/banana pancake. The staff was friendly but when your expectation is Oreo pancakes and they don't have that anymore, disappointment is inevitable. Even at the time I am writing this, the online menu remains inaccurate both in terms of food but also pricing. The 4 pancake stacker that is still served are $13, not the stated $9.

We wanted the mozzarella sticks but they were out. Service was ok. The fried pickles were tasty.

Stopped by with a friend while in Raleigh and the experience was okay. We both got drinks (Thunderbird and Pink Cadillac) and both were quite watered down. My friend got a Caesar salad and Nana's meatballs which she liked. I ordered chicken and waffles. While I really liked the waffles, the chicken was over cooked and extra crispy.

The food here was really tasty! We got The Smash Burger and Texas Smash burger. They were not smash burgers, but they were really good. The wedges were super crispy, the Brussel sprouts were perfect. The service was wonderful!

We walked here for trivia and we will be back. IMO, they have one of the best patios in Raleigh - shaded, plenty of comfortable seating, and in a walkable area. We got beers and apps which were delicious. The loaded tots have sour cream, tomatoes, pimento cheese & pork belly and they are 10/10. Trivia is at 7 on Wednesdays and you can play on the patio or inside. It's seat yourself and super laid back! Come join us!!!

Adorable place with mostly outside tables, some covered. We went for Brunch and shared 3 different entrees! Not huge portions but just right to finish it off and not have leftovers! Prices were very reasonable for portion size! You can make reservations on Open Table! I would like to go back again for lunch or dinner!

Sunday Brunch at this Person Street restaurant. Sat outside on the patio, where there are about 10 tables. Service was friendly and efficient, order taken promptly food delivered quickly and accurately. Our server did a great job, keeping track of us thru a leisurely meal and dividing the check at the end. Thank you! Started off with a Bloody Mary. It's well spiced, with Old Bay around the rim, a strip of bacon and a skewered olive. Even though there is a brunch menu, the full menu is available. A variety of different things were ordered around the table: The Elvis Stacker and breakfast biscuit sandwich from the brunch menu, and a Muffuletta, Bahn Mi and Station Burger. The muffuletta sounded good on the menu. It has the right ingredients - mortadella, sweet capicola, tapenade. But, it missed the mark of the New Orleans classic. The tapenade was more mustard-like than olive-y and more olive oil was needed. It true what they say that you can't get good muffuletta bread outside of New Orleans, because while the crusty cuban bread was good, it wasn't the same. A completely tasty sandwich, but just not what I expected. The Elvis stacker is a mountain of 3 plate-sized pancakes. They're hollowed in the center to make way for a big scoop of Nutella. They whole thing is topped with half a slice of banana and several strips of crisp bacon. As if the Nutella isn't sweet enough, there's syrup too! Pancakes aren't as fluffy as they could be, but anything that you eat slathered in Nutella is darn tasty! It was a nice, laid-back brunch; and the Station is a great place to relax and enjoy the company of your friends. Food is OK, though not special.

I need to return here to give a proper review as I was not fully sober when I dined here. This bar is across the street from a speakeasy I went to. We were greeted by one of the bartenders who was outdoors collecting table lamps. The outdoor tables and seating is very large. They also have fire places/pits and outdoor heaters that was working well enough to warm us up as it was lightly snowing. The indoor space is tiny in comparison, but was still chill. They have a nice selection of bar foods. We ordered wings and potato wedges, it was delicious by the way, and ate at the bar. We drank enough that night, so we didn't get the full bar experience. Both bartenders there was very nice, and communicated with the other, very drunk, patrons very well. This will be the go to spot when we hit up the speakeasy. I also want to experience the outdoor dining as well.

Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough.

Usually, I'm always excited to try a restaurant's vegan burger, but sad to say, their vegan burger was a bit underwhelming. I felt the patty was on the dry and crumbly side. I also ordered a Kid's Hot Dog meal for my child. The hot dog looked delish, but sadly, the hand-cut fries were soggy, greasy, and dark. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't appetizing. I should have asked the kitchen to make another batch for us. Mama Crow's had so much promise. I'd still come back to give it another try, but I'll order a burger next time.

Although they have a nice cocktail menu, they also have a full bar if you'd like something that is not on their menu. On the brunch menu, they have an item called Mimosa Party, which has 4 different flavors: range, dragonfruit, pear, mango. I've had other cocktails, and they are all delicious and made to order! Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing again. We ordered the tomato soup with grilled cheese and the Cobb salad with steak. Both dishes were good, but the biggest issue was the wait. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, it took over an hour for our food to come out and there wasn't much communication from our server about the delay. I'd definitely be more understanding if we had come in with a large group or ordered some of the more involved entrees, but when it's just two people ordering relatively simple dishes on a day that the restaurant is not very busy, waiting over an hour is tough. Our server did apologize and mentioned that this isn't typically the case. However, after reading through some other reviews, it does seem like the long wait times may be a recurring issue. I will say that our server kindly comped our drinks, which I appreciated. One suggestion I'd have for the restaurant would be to consider offering a complimentary bread service as it would go a long way in making the wait feel a little more manageable. Overall, I really want to like Birdie's because the space is beautiful and the food was good, but unfortunately, the service issues have made it difficult for me to fully enjoy the experience.
