We came here for Mother's Day, got there a little before our reservation time (made on open table) and they were able to go ahead and seat us which was nice. The patio area has a really cute vibe with various types of tables and a bar. I'm one of those that looks up menus before I go to restaurants and I will say the menu had some slight differences in brunch offerings. I do wish that they offered more of a brunch selection but everything we had was good but simple, no frills but reasonably priced. I would love to go back for their burgers because those look amazing! Street Parking

    NO bun. Texas Smash.

We sat by the one of two outdoor fireplaces, PERFECT atmosphere. Servers are so personable and accommodating to your dietary restrictions.

New menu... (3/31/23) sadly, some of my favorites didn't make the cut.

Sadly, the new menu axed the Sweet Heat Mule, the Mac n cheese, the hummus dip... among others. What was one of my favorite spots for an afternoon bite and drink is now just another place with decent bar food.

I can't comment on the food, we had a reservation through OpenTable but did not stay. We went for Brunch after looking at the menu online. It seems that menu is outdated and the current menu lacks several of the items shown online including Oreo pancakes and a Nutella/banana pancake. The staff was friendly but when your expectation is Oreo pancakes and they don't have that anymore, disappointment is inevitable. Even at the time I am writing this, the online menu remains inaccurate both in terms of food but also pricing. The 4 pancake stacker that is still served are $13, not the stated $9.

We wanted the mozzarella sticks but they were out. Service was ok. The fried pickles were tasty.

Stopped by with a friend while in Raleigh and the experience was okay. We both got drinks (Thunderbird and Pink Cadillac) and both were quite watered down. My friend got a Caesar salad and Nana's meatballs which she liked. I ordered chicken and waffles. While I really liked the waffles, the chicken was over cooked and extra crispy.

The food here was really tasty! We got The Smash Burger and Texas Smash burger. They were not smash burgers, but they were really good. The wedges were super crispy, the Brussel sprouts were perfect. The service was wonderful!

We walked here for trivia and we will be back. IMO, they have one of the best patios in Raleigh - shaded, plenty of comfortable seating, and in a walkable area. We got beers and apps which were delicious. The loaded tots have sour cream, tomatoes, pimento cheese & pork belly and they are 10/10. Trivia is at 7 on Wednesdays and you can play on the patio or inside. It's seat yourself and super laid back! Come join us!!!

Adorable place with mostly outside tables, some covered. We went for Brunch and shared 3 different entrees! Not huge portions but just right to finish it off and not have leftovers! Prices were very reasonable for portion size! You can make reservations on Open Table! I would like to go back again for lunch or dinner!

GO HERE!! Ash was our server, she's fabulous. My husband and i went to get dinner after a nice day at the flea market he got the texas smash which was delicious and i asked for recommendations from our waitress and she couldn't have picked a better meal. I got the chicken Alfredo with cajun sauce, so flavorful without being too heavy. we will definitely be coming back. OH AND we sat outside with fire pits and ambient lighting perfect for those who aren't into a large party scene.

Sunday Brunch at this Person Street restaurant. Sat outside on the patio, where there are about 10 tables. Service was friendly and efficient, order taken promptly food delivered quickly and accurately. Our server did a great job, keeping track of us thru a leisurely meal and dividing the check at the end. Thank you! Started off with a Bloody Mary. It's well spiced, with Old Bay around the rim, a strip of bacon and a skewered olive. Even though there is a brunch menu, the full menu is available. A variety of different things were ordered around the table: The Elvis Stacker and breakfast biscuit sandwich from the brunch menu, and a Muffuletta, Bahn Mi and Station Burger. The muffuletta sounded good on the menu. It has the right ingredients - mortadella, sweet capicola, tapenade. But, it missed the mark of the New Orleans classic. The tapenade was more mustard-like than olive-y and more olive oil was needed. It true what they say that you can't get good muffuletta bread outside of New Orleans, because while the crusty cuban bread was good, it wasn't the same. A completely tasty sandwich, but just not what I expected. The Elvis stacker is a mountain of 3 plate-sized pancakes. They're hollowed in the center to make way for a big scoop of Nutella. They whole thing is topped with half a slice of banana and several strips of crisp bacon. As if the Nutella isn't sweet enough, there's syrup too! Pancakes aren't as fluffy as they could be, but anything that you eat slathered in Nutella is darn tasty! It was a nice, laid-back brunch; and the Station is a great place to relax and enjoy the company of your friends. Food is OK, though not special.

As we were walking up my grandson said " this is a fancy place ". The decor is nicer than most bbq places for sure. I was surprised to see so many options that were not bbq and a large selection of sides. He got meatloaf with Mac and cheese and baked beans. He said it was the best meatloaf he ever had and this comes from a picky eater! He loved the Mac and cheese as well. It was a huge serving so I got to try the meatloaf and he was right. He didn't share the Mac and cheese. Neither of us cared for the baked beans. I had the brisket, Brussel sprouts and potato salad. The brisket was tender and flavorful. Awesome. The potato salad was ok but I didn't care for the Brussel sprouts . I would try two different sides next time. A basket of hush puppies and biscuits came as well. We were both so thirsty and I can report they had excellent sweet tea. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. The food came out faster than I expected. We will be back!

It took over 30 min to get a drink, and 1.5 hours for food. On top of that I order a basic grilled cheese sandwich and ordered it with American cheese. I asked the hostess if they had American cheese and they said yes. I then asked the server if they had American cheese and they said yes. Now this might be a simple item but my son is a very particular eater. After waiting over 1.5 hours the food finally came out and it was not American cheese. It was now 9:30pm and all surrounding restaurants were now closed. When the food was delivered, I told the server that it was not American cheese and she told me yes it was but then came back and told me they didn't have american cheese. In addition to that the meat was fatty and not very well cooked. What happened next really blew my mind. The manager came up to me and told me that they would not charge me for the grill cheese sandwich. This was her solution to a problem that left my kid not eating and no other options as we were visiting in town. I told her that there was no way I would pay for food we didn't eat. She didn't offer any other solution to the problem. Horrible management skills, didn't offer anything for their mistake and made it feel like it was my fault they screwed up. We should have listened to the bartenders at the surrounding places that told us to avoid this place.

Seriously, if you can't find a pour you like here, you may just need water instead. Started with the biscuits topped with crackling and house-made preserves, and honestly, that combo alone made me question why I don't eat more biscuits in life. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. Overall though? Still a solid meal, strong whiskey program, cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh looking for a bourbon-forward dinner spot. I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

The NY Strip arrived more than well done, so we told the waitress and she apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. As I was eating the meatloaf, I noticed an off taste and texture. Whoever sliced it from the "loaf" should have noticed it was not cooked before throwing it on the grill! We notified the manager when he came to apologize for the NY strip, so he took the meatloaf back to the kitchen. When the NY Strip came back out, my husband cut into it and it was shiny and purple inside, from top to bottom...absolutely rare. The waitress agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen again. When it came out for the third time, it was perfect (third time's a charm, I guess?). The only saving grace was the kind waitress who felt awful about the sub par food. The kitchen put her in an uncomfortable position, but she handled it with grace. We ordered the chocolate torte for dessert and it was very good, but that's the only thing I'd return for.
