    Champagne cocktail!

This place feels like a quintessential city bar! Great view of the park across the street. The inside if beautifully decorated with mood lighting and sexy music! Standard drink menu and specialty cocktails. Prices average for a hotel bar! Service was great

3.5 Is Street Bar a good, acceptable meal? Yes. Is it to die for as depicted? Not really.... and certainly overpriced. I definitely went in with the highest expectations for the burger and fries, which again, were good, but no where near Boston's best burger as some describe. The Caesar was ok, but too lightly dressed. Pigs in a blanket were pretty good. I got a martini, which I had just had another of upstairs, and I have to say the one at Contessa was infinitely better than this one. I was also really hoping for the little complimentary snack trio they bring out with drinks, but unfourtunately I do not think it applies to those dining. I will credit the vibes of the place, though, definitely a good spot to lounge for dinner. To recap, life changing? No. Keep your expecations right there in the middle and you should walk out satisfied.

Great experience and drinks. We were able to get in with a group of 4 Saturday evening with no reservations. We had a few rounds of drinks and they were all really good. Will definitely be back.

I had a nice dinner here! The ambiance is so lovely. It's a bit pricy but I think the vibes make up for it. I got pasta, Cesar salad and mashed potatoes. Everything was good, nothing crazy. I liked that they had matchboxes at the host stand since I collect!

My husband and I stayed at Newbury, and we went here every day, if not twice, some days. We just really enjoyed the laid-back and classy ambiance. Not jam-packed with kids or young kids but more of an older crowd. We had no problems with finding a spot to sit and grabbing cocktails and appetizers. We tried their deviled eggs and oysters, which were delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of the cocktails there. Our service was top notch each time we went. G, Tyler, and there was another bartender from Bulgaria, and I didn't catch her name. They were all great and made great recommendations.

Leave it to me and Newbury 75

The Street Bar has a quaint, cozy atmosphere with dim lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. I tried the Newbury 75 and sampled the Leave It to Me cocktail. Both were delicious and very well balanced. The juices tasted fresh, and I would definitely get both again. I also ordered the crab cake appetizer. It was a bit crispier than I'm used to, but the flavor was still good. Overall, I enjoyed my experience.

We made sure to buy drinks and tip well since we were really there to recreate a movie scene there (and around Boston). Service was excellent and so were the potato chips, walnuts and accessories snacks. The host asks if you are a guest at the hotel, and if not, it's still okay to dine in. They will ask for you phone number. I had the Pink Flamingo and it was really good; and different. The ambiance was balanced. You can speak to and hear the people you are with. I did feel it was a bit cluttered with furniture walking space wise but if you consciously watch where you walk you will be fine. It's no big deal. Bathroom is downstairs so if you remain in the bar and use the restroom, be prepared to take a flight of moderately steep stairs. No big deal, honestly.

We visited the street bar following dinner at Contessa at the Newbury hotel. The vibe at the Street Bar is very moody and inviting. Their cocktail menu is extensive. Very intimate feeling. The server was extremely accommodating. Enjoyed this relaxing ending to our evening.

Conch is a fantastic server at Street Bar. Ask for her. The food portions are perfect to nibble while drinking really well made cocktails in a clubby atmosphere. Just a great time. Thanks again Conch! See you again soon!

My new favorite bar in Boston. Leather bound books, dim lighting, leather or velvet seating, and a great bar and wine list. The burger was phenomenal. Sounds like you may want reservations if you're not staying there, hotel guests seem to have priority but we were lucky they found room for the four of us. Chill, classic, classy, and all the adjacent adjectives. Someone said "gothic academic esthetic" and I think that sums it up nicely. Good negronis, good old fashioneds, and a large wine selection...

    Daiquiri No.33

Classy, bougie, swanky. This is what you get when you hit the trifecta of amazing food, hand crafted cocktail and ambiance like you're in The Great Gatsby. The Street Bar is located on the....duh...street level of the Newbury Hotel. You know things are about to get classy up in this joint when you can literally have Breakfast at Tiffany's (there's a Tiffany's store literally across the hallway). The service was prompt, precise and proper. After entering, I took a seat at the bar and immediately I was greeted by the bartender with some bar snacks. As a former bartender, I maliciously read through each individual cocktail's ingredient and decided with the Daiquiri No. 33 cocktail. It was light, refreshing but yet packs a punch. I order crab cake as a snack and it was delicious, and realized that crab cake doesn't actually need fillers. It actually taste better when you have fresh crab with a crispy crust. After gulping down my cocktail, I was greeted by their bar director Eric. Rare to find a person to be able to speak intellectually about great wine and food. The bar serves also as the hotel bar, so it can get pack quickly. As I was having my conversation with Eric, the bar filled up with eager patrons needing their rose and martini's. Before coming here, I did read a few reviews about pricing. However, you are on Newbury and you are receiving one of the best service you can get in Boston. I would say that return on investment is worth every cent. I would highly recommend coming here for lunch, dinner or even an evening drink. It certainly has the classy vibe that I'm always looking for an amazing night out.

I visit here frequently; however, on this occasion, the service was exceptionally poor. I waited an extensive amount of time for my drink, and it seemed there was a lack of concern for the customers.

Great and friendly service from our Moroccan friend. The espresso martinis were absolutely delicious. And ambience was cool with dim lighting and nice bar area. Great little snacks you get with your drinks too (as pictured). A little pricier than most places though at $22 a pop

Absolutely awful service. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Bartenders were rude and unpleasant. We didn't even stay for a drink.

My friend hosted her birthday party here and it turned out to be a fun night. We had a reserved…read moretable for dinner, which I figured would be more intimate. But our table was in the main bar off to the side, so it was chaotic but fun. I do wish it was more private but it was still fun, just loud. Our waitress was really nice and did well with our large party. Their menu is mostly apps and smaller plates, so if you're looking more for a large meal this is not your spot. I got the nashville hot mozzarella sticks which were actually pretty good, I liked the tomato relish they put on top and the ranch was really good. Dive Bar Diva was my cocktail which was pretty good. My friends seemed to like their drinks and bar bites. After dinner we went upstairs to the club and got to skip the line (thankfully). The line for the club wraps around the building down the street most nights, so we got lucky. Dance floor is upstairs and it's pretty small, just one room. There were two DJs that night, and the music was really good. Bar was fun, they handed out free chicken tenders at one point and were squirting shots into peoples mouths out of gatorade bottles. It was awesome. Bathroom line upstairs for women was crazy, only one bathroom and it took a long line. I suggest going downstairs... but at least you'll see the famous cheetah print walls! I will say trying to get in contact with the reservation staff was difficult but finally they answered after days of my friends and I trying.

All of our good was excellent. The Birria Tacos were great and super full of meat. The Chopped Cheese Empanadas were very good and something different. The Smashburger was delicious.
