Drink was good, we expected the lavender to be bath-bomb-y as it often is but they did a good job. This place is very expensive and was absolutely empty when we got there at about 9:30 on a warm Friday night. View was good, only south is really visible, there aren't many green spaces or much else. It's basically just an upscale patio that's a maze to get to when winding around the hotel. We waited by a host table for 5 minutes before realizing no one was coming out so we seated ourselves and ordered drinks. Bar tender apparently "lost our receipt" after 15 minutes so we had to sign again, but he assured us we wouldn't be charged a second time. read more

We made a reservation the day before and when we got there, there were still many empty tables for a Saturday night with good weather. The vibes at Rooftop at Revere are amazing! It's completely outdoors, plenty of tables and a bar area. The day my boyfriend and I went, it was a bit gloomy, but we still had great views of the city. We ordered two lobster rolls and the tuna tartare. The food was delicious! It's slightly overpriced, but since it's in a hotel + has good views, I expected the price to be a bit above average. This was a fun trip out even in covid quarantine. The tables were more than 6 feet apart and it was not that cold yet even at night. The drink options were maaaany, very much limited food menu. We had the churros, chips and guacamole, charcuterie & cheese, and hummus. The cheese was very good, two types of cheese one sharper and one only slightly sharp and decently nutty. The drinks were all very good! The sangria was nice, tasted a bit strong but still very good. The secret garden was delicious, very citrusy and yummy. My friends got the sparrow and it was quite strong in tequila flavor, but they still seemed to like it. I wish there was a few more food options and a little more variety in the cheese, only 2 types for 18$? I would maybe come back here if it was warm out and summer. read more

I recommend reserving a table online a few days ahead of time, because if not, you will stand in line for at least 30 minutes to order a drink at the bar. Service was just ok, not super friendly, but she did check on us quite a few times. The views are great, and there's nice spots to take pictures. Music is pretty on point!!! Dancehall/hip hop vibe, depends what night you come I guess. Also, sucks that they close at 11 on weekends. So, first - this does NOT look like the pictures. The pictures on here and on the website make it look much newer and sleeker. Second - I waited several minutes for a host to greet me, and then I finally popped outside and asked someone if there was a host. Food-wise, I was frustrated that the menu on their website is out-of-date. I scanned the QR code on the table and got a completely new menu. The phone number on the website is out of service, too. So they need some updating. But - the food we got was delicious. I went with the short rib flatbread and my husband got the burger (with a fried egg and bacon). I got the white sangria, which was super tasty. The music is loud, but that's the vibe. I felt I wasn't young or hip enough to be there, but then I realized there was an interesting mix of people of all ages. Our server was super friendly and helpful, although service was quite slow (which was fine - we didn't have anywhere to go). The bathrooms are currently closed, so you need to wander through the hotel down to the floor below, but I'm sure that's a Covid issue. Literally the only good thing about this rooftop is the view....And that's only partially true. We had a reservation for 8PM. No signs in the lobby that only two people were allowed at a time on each elevator so there was a line to go up once we all figured it out. The upstairs area had a hostess stand with a hostess running around outside and a line quickly forming. The hostess finally started to move the line along and took a couple in front of us who did not have a reservation while we had one all along. We were finally seated and our table was above...The parking garage! This rooftop isn't that high up by any means, it's smack in the middle of the floors of the hotel. Our "view" was the bar, the garage, the emergency exit, and maybe a snippet of the Boston skyline. Since you have to order food to get alcohol we decided to go with the cheese board. Four slices of cheese, two crackers, one piece of bread, and a ton of salami. A ripoff for over $20. The drinks were good (we each had the bourbon cocktail) but at $17 each it was a bit small and served in a plastic cup. I get the use of plastic especially during COVID but $17 for a tiny drink? Music was in and out. The crowd moved on quickly. This is more the place to go for a quick cocktail and a photo of the sky. read more

It was hard to get reservations but when we got there they didn't even ask for our name the place was empty. The service was super slow we had to ask about our food 4 times. When it finally came (over and hour and a half later) it was tasteless and warm at best definitely not hot. We were never asked how the food was. We were given plastic forks and little square bar napkins. Due to the insane wait for the gross food it was comped so they did make that part right. The drinks were good but on the higher price end. If you do go just order from the bar and have a drink to enjoy the vibe and then go someplace w better food and drinks. Ok Drinks, Kind Of High Priced, Good Views From The Edge. So this bar/lounge area is located on the rooftop of the Revere Hotel in Boston. It is a great location and has some good views of the city from up there. The drinks were pretty high priced and the sangria was ok, but has a frat party feel to the tiny ice filled plastic cup... Ice and wine do not mix in my world... They have a somewhat limited bar with only Angry Orchard Rose cider, and the Rose is the worst product from Angry Orchard... Service wasn't bad. They never came to see if we wanted more drinks, maybe you are supposed to go to the bar each time? The word may never know... It's a cool area otherwise for a meeting or small get together. I really want to 3.5 star it, but cannot rough up to 4. read more

I spent last weekend in Boston, and the weather was perfect for rooftop bars and dining. It was perfect enough that we looked for rooftop meals/bars almost every night. I gave the Rooftop at Revere 2 stars because one of two drinks was good, and the view is wonderful. My partner wanted a glass of wine, but all they sold was half bottles - this isn't terrible, but by buying a half bottle, she was locked into her choice for at least to drinks. The food was terrible. We ordered two flatbreads that sounded good. One was a basic mozarrela/tomato/basil and the other was a chicken tikka masala. The basic one had a balsamic drizzle that had potential, but the lack of flavor in the bread, cheese, and basil meant that it was the only flavor, and the flatbread as a whole was quite underwhelming. The chicken tikka masala was dry and flavorless. Even worse for both, is that when they were delivered, they were barely warm, if not air temperature. I realized that was the case because the kitchen is not with rooftop bar - I saw cooks bringing them off the elevator in room service containers and taking them to the rooftop. Our waitress was inattentive. We weren't given water or silverware, and when we asked for napkins, we were given paper drink napkins. We saw other patrons with cloth napkins, which would have been preferable, because the balsamic drizzle was so incredibly sticky that it took two small paper napkins to get it off my fingers. If I'm in Boston again, which I plan to be, the Revere will be on my list of places to avoid. It could be amazing, but it was a huge disappointment, and not worth the $80 bill at the end of the night. read more

Overall: A must-go place during the summer! I arrived around 4 p.m. and there was no line. The rooftop is very spacious, modern looking, with lounge sitting and high-top tables with nice views. Super casual vibe during the day but as the sun sets, expect people to be more dressed-up (not everyone). There's a DJ playing songs and they do take requests. It is 21+ unless you're a guest of the hotel. Drinks: My friends and I sat at one of the lounges and we had an amazing time. The drinks are highly-priced and served on plastic cups, which is a downside. The server was very attentive, but drinks can take a while to arrive during peak hours. If I could give this place -5 stars I would. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for my birthday, and CONFIRMED the day before my reservation at 7pm on 8/15/22. When my party arrived at the Rooftop at Revere, it said that it was CLOSED for a private event. I asked to speak to someone about the situation because I was really confused. When I spoke to one of the managers they said that they were closed for a private event that "just popped up out of no where". (There we're a lot of people checking into the hotel for that company, so I truly find that hard to believe!) And they said to speak with the restaurant manager in Rebels Guild, and they said that they started calling everyone at 6:30pm that day to let them know that they were closed. They offered us balcony seating, to make up for the experience. We agreed to that, and got the set ups and water. Then we were left alone for over 20 min, no server in sight. After 25 min we decided to leave. We ran into the manager on the way out and let him know what happened. He just said "sorry." No customer service skills at all! We left and ended up going to Atwood Tavern in Cambridge and that was amazing! Never again will I make reservations or recommendations about either restaurant again! read more

Pre covid19 review: There is a fee for getting food brought up. Also a minimum spend for the cabanas, even on weeknights. We sat in the sun and had a good time anyway, on the bosses dime. There are a lot of fruity options for cocktails, and all different sizes for your group (1-10?). They don't have large plates, but you can get chips and dips, flat breads, chicken, etc. Service was slow, even though there was a bar outside and not many people there. Drinks are overpriced. Pool was closed when we went, with no warning posted on our way in. I joked about going swimming, but didn't have anything to do it with. I would have been heartbroken had I brought stuff, and wonder what families staying there do when it is closed. read more

Located in the theatre district not to far from all the night clubs and restaurants!!! Non hotel quests get a wristband no cover fee At night it wasn't too busy Cocktails are $12 to $14. The views are beautiful but I wish it was on the top floor as this was half way so you are limited to seeing all of Boston... Overall very chill, not to bright and service was good.. I stayed at the hotel and went upstairs only to be severely disappointed. For one, the hours of service do NOT reflect the actual hours of service. If you say you serve food till 11, I don't want to hear that the kitchen is closed at 10pm. Also, super inconsistent. I got a cocktail with no ice in a plastic cup, and then saw another customer get a drink in "glass" a few minutes later. We only had cocktails, because "kitchen was closed", so drinks were great, even though served in plastic cups, on a rooftop bar that claims some sort of "high end experience". Hell, I have had a better experience at a lobby bar in Manhattan at a Hilton. Lots to work on Shane. Manager needs to step up his game, or get out. Staff was strong and really pleasant. read more

TIP: Ladies, if you find the Sunday events on Eventbrite, you can avoid paying the $30 fee. My girlfriend and I got in for free. This rooftop is a nice place to spend your Sunday afternoon if you just want to catch some rays and chill and drink with friends. I was somewhat expecting it to be a live day party, but when I arrived it was a very chill environment. Parking took me a while to find, but we were finally able to find street parking not too far from the hotel. Parking on a Sunday was also a plus. There is an indoor pool right next to the rooftop, which is open to you and the hotel's guests as well. There was no DJ, just soft music playing in the background and groups of friends gathered around the tables and cabanas, hanging out. The drinks and waitstaff were really good, and the waitresses were very attentive and accommodating of our needs. They have a handful of appetizers to order from and take debit/credit/cash. The only major downside is that they need more umbrellas for the really sunny days. At one point a waitress asked if we needed our umbrella (it was about 85 degrees and extremely sunny) so that would be a plus. Other than that, I would definitely go back at some point. How can you just say no to this place? My husband and I came with 2 other couples on a Saturday night. The service was very slow, had to wait for over 20 minutes for our water and another 25 minutes for drinks after that. We ordered a cheese board and French fries for the table - both disgusting. Cheese board had a trail mix in there with animal crackers, honey had something swimming in it. We decided not to order a meal there and wanted to split the check 3 ways. So I took my girlfriend out for the first time there and the service was horrible took almost 2hrs for our food and every time we asked "oh it's coming" then a manager came up and read our orders to us and we says yes it's ours he then says okay I'll go get it 45 mine later still nothing then when the food came it was the worst food ever even though they didn't charge us for the food I still would never eat there. I would not recommend this place, but it did give us a good laugh and a good view. The drinks are very mediocre and a little overpriced, but this is what you'd expect at this type of place honestly. I did expect cuter decor than what they had, and my chair was broken. Because of covid, you must order something to eat along with your beverages. We choose the snack mix, which was the least pricey item. It was 7 dollars (even though the menu said 6!) for a small dish of burn popcorn with some nuts and m&ms. Some people would have been very upset with this, but we just thought it was funny! I will say that the tables are spaced far apart and it felt very safe. Our poor waiter seemed tired, and the service was pretty slow. I cannot speak on the hot food served here, but overall I would not return.
