I am finishing up my first month at D3 Fitness with Coach Donnie. What a great place! Donnie is running a Small Group Training program that is perfect for people getting back to the gym after a break; coming back from an injury; training at a challenging level; and desiring to maintain flexibility and fitness without exposure to crowds. With a background in physical therapy, Donnie is able to modify and direct everyone in the small group through a range of dynamic stretches, strength ,and cardio exercises with attention to the level and needs of the individual. I have not been in a class with more than 5 other people. Average has been around 4 people. I would advise anyone who has been hesitating to do something about getting back on a workout schedule to take advantage of this ideal situation. Years ago I worked with a trainer in a gym and The level is completely disparate. Or Donnie's level of experience is just so global it makes other trainers in comparison seem very limited. He has years of experience and he is designing every workout so you are not bored and feel you feel there is a Master Plan to it all. What is quite surprising is how affordably he is offering the Small Group Class. He is even allowing a pay as you go cost of $20 per SGT. This is as close to a personal trainer as you can get and pay a class fee. It's just that you are going through a guided regimen with a few other people. You can also commit to a monthly fee that will lower the cost of the training. Regarding personal training: for basic personal training the current rate is very reasonable and actually an incredible value for what you get. I am coming to training with various old injuries that have to be monitored. I feel that I am getting continued physical therapy for those injuries and building strength and adding stretching for prevention. Examples of Equipment: Trx; Bosu; kettle balls; hand weights; dumb bells; sleds; stretching bands; universal style weight machine; rowing machine; jump ropes; medicine ball; stretching equipment. In short, do not hesitate to start exercising in a safe environment with a top notch trainer. Who knows what the future will bring with covid and restrictions. I feel very safe going to a smaller environment with like-minded careful clients and an assiduous owner. read more

Prepaid the owner, Donnie, in August 2018 for on-site sessions but later in March 2019, he decided to run his gym business and stopped the on-site training. In total he still owes me $1200 worth of unfulfilled sessions. Strongly not recommended. read more

Donnie has been on the side of great health & fitness for years. Met him a while ago doing a boot camp in Plainfield. If you give him the chance and follow his directions. You will get results! I trained with Donny many years ago when I had to get ready for a wedding. I LOATHED the whole idea of working out! Donny was amazing! He knew I hated cardio, so he'd design obstacle courses for me. Nothing was boring or ever the same, he also incorporated kick boxing in the workouts and monitored my meals and rating habits. Donny was always extremely supportive, willing to do everything right along side me and his endless knowledge of physical fitness meant I was always challenged and kept on my toes! I have been a member of many gyms over the years starting with Jack Lalanne in the 70's and on to the various other franchises that have sprung up, including LA Fitness. What I have found unique about following the D3 Fitness program is the genuine concern and focus Donnie DeMary provides to clients in addition to a solid exercise and nutrition program. The Studio @ D3 Fitness, has become a consistent part of my life. After rehabilitation with a Mitrovalve repair back in December , training was now going to be a daily occurrence in my life. Training with Donnie DeMary has been life changing and in just a few short weeks, my body has transformed noticeably! Working in the entertainment industry, there are many stresses that are constantly placed on weight gain to weight loss. My schedule has always been so crazy but Donnie somehow always makes the perfect time to work with me. His professionalism is unmatched,as well as, he has the absolute best smoothies in town.( My daughter won't even allow me to make them anymore at home) Donnie is awesome at what he does and his expert knowledge only furthered my rehab process making my heart stronger than ever. My body is cutting in all the right places and Donnie makes it so enjoyable that you look forward to your next class. I worked with Donnie post partum 5 weeks from having my son. We did a bootcamp with running, core and strength training. I'm now training for several triathlons, half marathons and Ironman Princeton. Donnie gave me a custom menu and personal training sessions. He's there to get you motivated and started but if you eat donuts and drink soda pop you won't see results. read more

Donnie is one of the best trainers I have ever had. He uses his knowledge and insight in effort to help me gain insight into my mind,body and soul. He has great compassion for his clients and he always made me feel comfortable and safe. I have been struggling with weight issues since I was a child and I feel Donnie meets you where you are at. He doesn't not try to push his own views of weight loss on me in order to get results which I love, what he does is make it a lifestyle and fun and enjoyable. I started training with Donnie in 2004 while I was touring as a backup vocalist for Lenny Kravitz. As a backup vocalist for many A-list celebs I'm required to be in good shape, so over the years I've had access to the "best of the best" personal trainers. When I started training with Donnie I noticed a difference, my physical fitness and ability went from good to the best it's ever been! By creating personalized meal plans and exercise regimens for me Donnie was able to take me to the next level! I've trained with him on and off since 2004 and have never needed to go to anyone else. Donnie has neglected his responsibilities as a business professional. The fact is he owes 5 ladies over 250 dollars each. The fact is he has only responded to us after we called him and then it has only been to tell us he will give us our money "by the end of the month". Fact is I do not like posting on sites like this, I do not like having to sue, and I do not like being lied to. Regardless of whether its called a scam, fraud, or deception the fact is Donnie did not follow through with us and he has not tefunded our money as he said he would even though he has had almost a year to do. Those of you who "train" with him please continue to do so so that he will have enough to pay us before he is ordered to do so. read more

Donnie is a great trainer and a go to fitness institution if you are looking for an optimum result. I have had a few trainers in past but no one gave me the result I was aiming , until I met Donnie and started training with him . I have trained with donnie for postpartum weight loss during both my pregnancy and the results have been as expected . I would also like to thank Donnie for everything he has done while training me over the last 6 months. Looking back to February, just the thought of putting on my favorite dress and having photos taken scared me to death let alone putting on a bathing suit! Then I started training Donnie and things got better, my clothes started to fit better and I started to feel healthier . Now putting on that dress and bathing suit does not scare me in the slightest, all the hard work has paid off and I am extremely happy with the way I look and I haven't felt this fit or healthy in years. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions each week and Donnie is so easy to get along with (under the circumstances!). To put it simple - tough love with an understanding of personal challenges. I was able to drop two dress sizes within a short period of time (~2-3 months). When I first started working out with Donnie, I had lost considerable range of motion on my left side - in particular my left shoulder - as a result of a car accident. Donnie (who combines empathy with a no-excuses-allowed approach) designed a program specifically around helping me to regain full flexibility, strength, and range of motion on my left side, while improving my overall fitness level. The trainings included foundational exercises that were repeated every session, interspersed with a variety of challenging workouts designed to push me and keep me motivated. The results speak for themselves: within just a few months, my left shoulder & arm had regained close to 85% range of motion. Of course, the workout regimen played a huge part in this rapid turnaround, but the inclusion of targeted stretches and myofascial release therapy were also key. It is of note that during this time, Donnie was going through a health challenge of his own, but always showed up 100% committed & focused. That's the mark of a true professional. read more

I hired a trainer in February 2012 Donnie DeMary and have been with Donnie since. It was my health that brought me to Mr DeMary I was pre-Diabetic and was overweight by 42lbs. I am happy to say as of last Friday I lost 32lbs and I am out of danger of the ugly disease called Diabetes. Thanks to my personal trainer, I did not realize at age 48 being a woman with a health issue not feeling good about myself, that it can put a person in a blah state of mind, and how training with Donnie changed my life in several months, I have referred Donnie D3 Fitness to every person I know several of them hired Mr DeMary and are very pleased. I believe Donnie rescheduled 1 appointment if I am not mistaking, but I can say all of us have never had an issue about money! he told us the fee we paid and we get our sessions and are happy :)....P.S.
