About 90% of the gym goers at the time were men so the women's locker room was very empty and all showers were available (4 showers which is more than some other locations). Overall the locker room was clean and the facility was nice, although the locker area was quite dark. The bathroom had some wet paper towels scattered around which was odd since there was no dispenser for them, but was otherwise relatively clean.

We visited on a Thursday evening at 6pm and the place was busy but not too packed yet. This was our first time at this location and we wanted to change our home gym but the lady at the desk was confused and gave us some bizarre information on how to go about that. We just checked in and carried on. The cardio equipment is set up in 2 rows spanning the length of the gym and there appears to be enough for everyone regardless of how busy they are. There is an area with free weights and actual squat racks with space to lay a mat out and workout. There is another area for abs and more free weights in that section. The equipment is laid out in a way that makes ideal sense based on muscle group (I've seen other PFs where machines are just haphazardly placed around) so this was a delight to see. At about 630pm the place was so busy most of the equipment was in use and there wasn't a single spot on the floor to stretch so I hopped back on the cardio equipment. After our workouts we hit up the Black Card Spa zone - I am so glad they have 3 cryo massage chairs. Those are great post-workout! All in all a great gym and I'm really glad its so close to our house.

I was in town briefly for a few meetings, and I knew that I'd lose my nerve to go lift by the time I got from Beverly to Back Bay. The MBTA is an enervating, soul-sucking experience. I was fortunate enough, then, to find the BAC. This location is stylish, clean, compact, yet has a handsomely stocked weight room. I got a solid lift and a solid gym selfie, and no-one cruised me in the locker room: truly, what more does a boy want in this life?

When I…read morefirst started working out here, the employees were all super friendly, now they're all miserable. There was also air conditioning in here at the time, but now there isn't. Sometimes it's hotter inside that it is outside and there is only one fan near the treadmills, and I can barely feel it even when I'm directly under it. There has been a lot of unneeded renovations in the past couple of years, and it has been really inconvenient. I don't care if the gym looks like the Taj Mahal, I just want a functioning bathroom and workout equipment and there have been times there have been neither because of construction. This summer I was hoping to get back in shape but every time I went, they have been closed for one reason or another. The latest excuse is they were replacing the workout equipment, which I do admit they desperately need, especially for the treadmills. I was looking forward to trying out the new equipment, but surprise, surprise, I went today, and it was closed again! The new reason is infuriating--they're not 24/7 anymore! This location is really out of the way for me but being able to go anytime I wanted made it worth it. I usually work out later at night, so I guess I have to find a new gym now. I also don't know what the actual hours are now because the hours on yelp and the hours on the Planet Fitness website are completely different. According to Yelp they are 24 hours Monday through Thursday, but Planet Fitness says they closed at 12 am Monday through Thursday. And according to this website, they're going to be returning to 24/7 in September when the Planet Fitness website says nothing about that. I'm really getting sick of this guessing game, and I plan on joining a new gym soon.

I've been searching for a gym in this area for a while, trying everything from cheap gyms with tons of equipment to class lead circuit training but nothing really worked for me or got me appreciating a workout until developing a routine here. My fitness level and how I've felt about my body has yo-yoed my whole life. During the pandemic I fell into a particularly lazy cycle and could not find motivation on my own to come out of it. I've worked with Mel, Mark, and James and have come out of all sessions feeling better (exhausted, but better) about my body. Although I'm usually a bit too out of breath to talk, every trainer is easy to talk to which obviously makes going into a work out way more enjoyable. They also each demonstrate professionalism and knowledge that make me confident that I'm making the right decision following this program and that I'm safe in each movement. Looking forward to continuing my 2x weekly routine here the foreseeable future!

Coach Jared was amazing to work with. He quickly assessed my experience and current workout patterns and learned about my overall goals. Normally sessions like these feel like they drag on forever but I felt occupied and accomplished the entire time and it was over before I knew it- we all know, a great feeling when working out. The light conversation was also a nice touch. Through several circuits of weight training I was sweating away, heart rate up and all. It was a rewarding workout experience and the best part was I could still walk the next day! Can't wait to come back when I'm town again next!
