5 stars all around!! Like another review said, I wasn't sure what to expect! There's a lot of variety with the dishes, including many vegan options. However, do not be off put by the variety...everything is PHENOMENAL. We started with the buffalo cauliflower and beet hummus- both delish and light appetizers. The cauliflower was some of the best I've ever had! For entrees, two at our table had the local catch of the day which was red fish with a mango salsa and whipped potatoes...SO GOOD. Another had the Hippie Loaf, which is a lentil loaf over risotto, and she was a fan. I had the special, a flat iron steak, that had a fajita vibe and was delish! We finished with one of the best desserts I've ever had...a bread pudding with a homemade cinnamon ice cream made by the chef...omg we wanted to lick the plate! The service was great! The woman owner has her art displayed around the restaurant which is very cool, and her husband is the chef! We really enjoyed speaking to the wife and seeing all of her art. Another cool thing is that they have someone playing acoustic guitar during dinner, which creates a beautiful ambiance, while still allowing an easy tableside conversation. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this spot since the menu is incredibly eclectic...everything from sushi, vegan dishes, jambalaya, steak, pad thai, duck, to jerk chicken. It's basically a chef's dream, but I wondered about the consistency and turnaround of such a varied menu. Luckily, I found them on Groupon, which turned out to be a fantastic deal...about $17 for a $40 voucher, so we saved quite a bit considering how much we would have otherwise spent. I highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially since they're located in an art studio setting and even have a live singer at night, which adds to the atmosphere. The seating was a bit quirky literally, I almost fell off my chair once (oops!), but the service was great and attentive throughout. For our meal, I ordered the diver scallops, and my partner had the ribeye. We also shared the vegan heart of romaine salad, which was fresh and flavorful. I have to say, the food was absolutely delicious, well-executed and full of flavor. The vibe was lively yet cozy, and we ended up in the second room with no live music =( still it was perfect for a romantic, quiet evening. If I lived nearby, this place would definitely be a monthly go-to for me. Amazing! What a treat it was to have some exceptional vegan food on Hilton Head Island. We were pleasantly greeted from the moment we stepped through the door. The staff made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. The food and dining experience was so elevated it was really remarkable. I enjoyed the grilled Caesar salad, and the "Hippie-Loaf" a vegetable & lentil loaf with rosemary-red wine sauce, harvest risotto, and broccoli rabe. My wife had the soup special and the 'Steak & Mushroom Crepes filled with seitan steak bits, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, a carrot-ginger purée & topped with a wasabi aioli drizzle. As a local we decided to give the Studio a try as we had guests in town and they wanted Vegan cuisine. The both had the hippie loaf and buffalo cauliflower. We ordered the lamb chops and duck breast. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and it was all dried out and lukewarm. We asked to speak to a manager and explained the issue. She did not offer to fix the problem and was very rude! This place really surprised me! The menu seemed all over the place, and I thought the self-described "artistic dining experience" seemed kind of gimmicky. However, it had fantastic reviews on here that really enticed me. This goes to show that Yelp usually knows best! This place was fantastic. I was first brought out bread and butter, very tasty. I started out with the escargot ala maisonette. It came over these really tasty sweet potato-type rings. The escargot itself was really well-made and well-flavored. For the entree I was so happy that the daily special was a sort of sampler platter. I got to try small portions of the grouper, the filet, and the lamb rack rogan josh. All of them were delicious! I especially liked the filet and the lamb. It came with broccolini and mashed potatoes. It really was all wonderful. The restaurant is pretty swanky too! This is an intimate place with great service and an eclectic menu. My husband enjoyed the Studio "Pallette" which included a nice portion of grouper, twin lamb chops, and petite filet of beef while I had the grouper special (photos dont do them justice). This was the highlight of our dining experiences on Hilton Head for our 25th anniversary, and we had some wonderful food here. However this was a truly artistic experience. From a wait staff that supported and helped each other through an evening special allowing us to try petite portion of 3 of their most popular dishes. We tried the Gorgonzola topped fillet, the lamb chops in a savory curry and the grouper. I was not sure about the curry when I ordered but it was outstanding savory and flavorful. We ate outside to abide by social distancing requirements and the waitresses were very responsible with wearing masks and even sanitized tables and door knobs after guest left. I am vegan which is what originally attracted us to this restaurant- there are so many options. They even brought out olive oil and nutritional yeast with our bread to start to keep it all vegan. We got the black bean hummus and buffalo cauliflower to start and I got the mushroom crepes as my entree. All were great. We have been customers for many years and are Vegan. We have the highest regards for the owners Paul and Lunonia, their staff and absolutely the fabulous food. Their menu choices include many vegan options as well as many non vegan options. Hands down the best vegan restaurant on the Island. The restaurant is a small place but not crowded. We consider it a romantic spot and a fabulous dinner date location. In warm weather they have a wonderful patio for alfresco dining. The meat-eaters of the group loved their meals and so did the vegans. It's usually so hard to find a place where no one feels like they are compromising! This is the most upscale tasting restaurant I've ever been too. Maybe because I could indulge in so much more. My wife and I have to eat gluten free, and we don't do cheese or milk as it doesn't make us feel good. I had fried cauliflower covered in a home made vegan (no butter) buffalo sauce that will make your mouth just water. It's one of the best, most articulate dishes I've ever eaten in my life. You will wonder why high end places have not figured this out. The fryer is not cross contaminated. We came here all 3 days we stayed on the island. It was that good. Steak and lobster here was the best I've had, which is a big deal to find out here. I'm from Atlanta and we have some of the top steakhouses in the world. Nope, doesn't matter. This place is elevated. Like I'm in Vegas ordering a $98 steak. The lobster some of the freshest I've tasted. This is a great place with wonderful people. Not just the owners, the employees are so happy to serve you. Good lord, it just came to me, the Pad Thai. I was in Thailand. I was enjoying gluten free/vegan pad Thai. We added shrimp to it and my goodness we had way to much food. And we did this multiple times as we couldn't go without it. How did they make it that authentic? My mind was blown. They pour the drinks strong here, you will feel as though you're getting a deal. They have some amazing Anejo tequila from Mexico which was fantastic. They also have a local vodka made from sugar cane. These people have it figured out. They love what they do and it shows. They made my wife, I, and our new born baby feel extra special. The staff and owner of this establishment were so polite, courteous, and friendly. The food was incredible...and that's coming from a meat-eater. This was a highlight from my trip to HHI! It has a really fun, art gallery vibe to the restaurant with an outdoor dining area where the diners were seated as a COVID precaution. The outdoor area was really cute with lots of greenery and set far back from the street. The menu was really great since it can be difficult to find a good sit-down restaurant with more than one or two vegetarian choices. While I'm not vegetarian, my bf needs options!
