Cajun bone in rib eye
Maria M.

Very beautiful interior all table are surrounded by unique artwork. The wine list was very good with special wines for the night. Servers are numerous and very attentive. You have an option to sit inside or outside. Our food selections were Cajun Bone-in rib eye with cheese on top. It was fine but the cheese didn't really work with it. The grouper was excellent. Overall fun night

Amazing! What a treat it was to have some exceptional vegan food on Hilton Head Island. We were pleasantly greeted from the moment we stepped through the door. The staff made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. The food and dining experience was so elevated it was really remarkable. Everything we had just felt like it was prepared with care and attention to detail. I enjoyed the grilled Caesar salad, and the "Hippie-Loaf" a vegetable & lentil loaf with rosemary-red wine sauce, harvest risotto, and broccoli rabe. My wife had the soup special and the 'Steak & Mushroom Crepes filled with seitan steak bits, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, a carrot-ginger purée & topped with a wasabi aioli drizzle. We finished our meals with something sweet. A blueberry crumble ala mode with vanilla oatmilk icecream and a rich chocolate cake with acai icecream. Sooooooo good, seriously, wow! The restaurant was beautifully decorated with lovely paintings. I loved the one of the mermaid, beautiful! As a Navy sailor this one really impressed me. We really had a great evening to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

What wonderful place to have nice romantic dinner. We tried some vegetarian dishes and it was so good. Gavin was wonderful. He took time to help us decide what to have. Service was definitely excellent. It is worth a visit. It's a dining experience. A must when you are in Hilton Head.

Such unique flavors - from cocktails, to appetizers, to mains! Quiet, personalized experience. We always visit when we are on Hilton Head Island.

We had a good experience at this location recently when we were on Hilton head Island. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the Argentine strip steak. Both were quite tasty. Gavin, our server, couldn't have been nicer and helpful in collaborating with the chef to ensure that everything was GF.

Run, don't walk to this place for an unforgettable culinary experience! The inside space is quaint and cozy and we were made to feel welcome from the start. There are many pescatarian and vegetarian entrees from which to choose and a variety of flavors to excite your palate. Every bite from start (including the herb infused bread with garlic olive oil) to finish was delicious. This is a must go-to on HHI.

Fantastic food. I can't say enough good things about it. It was great with lots of vegan and gluten-free options too. They were very accommodating with our large group and everything on the menu looked good.

This place really surprised me! The menu seemed all over the place, and I thought the self-described "artistic dining experience" seemed kind of gimmicky. However, it had fantastic reviews on here that really enticed me. This goes to show that Yelp usually knows best! This place was fantastic. I was first brought out bread and butter, very tasty. I started out with the escargot ala maisonette. It came over these really tasty sweet potato-type rings. The escargot itself was really well-made and well-flavored. For the entree I was so happy that the daily special was a sort of sampler platter. I got to try small portions of the grouper, the filet, and the lamb rack rogan josh. All of them were delicious! I especially liked the filet and the lamb. It came with broccolini and mashed potatoes. It really was all wonderful. The restaurant is pretty swanky too! The artwork inside is BEAUTIFUL and for sale, so I'll definitely be back to scope some pieces out. Really fantastic experience, I would highly recommend!

Really fun glassware!

This is an intimate place with great service and an eclectic menu. My husband enjoyed the Studio "Pallette" which included a nice portion of grouper, twin lamb chops, and petite filet of beef while I had the grouper special (photos dont do them justice). The vegan soup special was also delicious (and they were happy to split one bowl between us). Strolled through the art gallery before we left. Highly recommend! (Oh- and the glassware is very cool!)

How is this place, from quality of food perspective?

I think it's very good for the area. I live in Manhattan and frequent many top fine dining restaurants. This is not the same level as the best restaurants in Manhattan, but among the best in Hilton Head.

This is another moment where I really wish Yelp allowed half stars because this is technically a…read more3.5 review, not a four. And the only reason this isn't a four was primarily tied to Service. But more on that later. First, I want to start with the review on the food, which technically was a solid four if not, a 4 1/2. This is very authentic. Indian food served in a very modest dining room setting in family style plating. Prices are fairly reasonable, but as with other restaurants in this area, you are paying a bit of a premium because of the overall area itself. That being said, this is a very accessible menu, which primarily pushes the Non Indian customers towards the more popular, Indian entrees, where they feature a mix and match protein style. We had dinner there with another couple that was in town visiting and they also were Indian food fans, and coincidentally, familiar with the restaurant themselves. We all ordered traditional entrees, along with a couple of drinks. For one of our diners, they ran out of Coors light when he tried to order a second so he switched to a Coke afterwards. Now on to the service. My main complaint here may have just been tied to our specific server, but there just seemed to be a bit of condescending energy with the way in which he approached taking the order. Even though we are very familiar with Indian food, we had not seen this Asian-Indian sub menu before and started asking questions about some of the items on the menu. There was a fried rice dish and a fried noodle dish that were approximately $15-$16 in price which made us think they were entrees. When we asked the server about the entrees, he condescendingly corrected us by telling us they were appetizers and instead of pointing out other things on that part of the menu that we might've been interested in as a entree, he pushed us back to the traditional Indian standards almost as if to say, don't venture off of the beaten path and stick to something that likely won't disappoint you. I'm never a big fan of servers shepherding Non members of the culture to the basic and most popular entrees. When I go to an Indian restaurant, I don't always want somebody to recommend tandoori chicken and Nan bread when there are so many other diverse dishes on the menu. We also found the same server to be a bit slow when it came to clearing the table and coming back to check on everybody after entrées had been delivered. From looking around in the restaurant, it appeared to me that this was a popular choice with Indian families in the area, and I am pretty sure that was primarily tied to the quality of the food and the authenticity. However, I would definitely not recommend this as a date spot and would recommend heading over to Naan Appetit instead if that's the Vibe you're looking for. Overall, not a bad choice. depending on what you're looking for. But as good as this is, still not the best choice for Indian food in the area.

We were told there was a one-hour wait for dine-in and a 45-minute wait for takeout. We placed a takeaway order, but had to wait 75 minutes to get our food, which was disappointing. Since we were visiting the area and staying at a hotel, we asked for disposable cutlery. They did not have plates and provided only spoons and forks. About the food: -Butter naan and Paneer Methi Malai: 4/5 - good flavor and soft paneer. -Veg Hakka noodles: 3/5 - just average, nothing special. -Veg biryani: 2/5 - root vegetables were undercooked and almost raw, not flavorful, and not truly a biryani; it would be better described as pulao. The portion sizes were decent, but they did not follow our requested spice level and served the food mild to medium. Overall, we had a disappointing experience at this restaurant.

It had chilli paneer which was good and the paneer was so soft and well cooked and finally it had Onion pakoras which was crispy and well done. We also had Stuffed Kulcha which was stuffed with cheese and potato in it was absolutely delicious. Sad part is being an Indian restaurant they didn't have chai on the menu. Just a suggestion it would be nice if you'll add chai to the menu I'm sure you'll have a lot of fans for that. Service was nice and the Atmosphere and the ambiance of the restaurant was ok. Overall it's a nice place to visit !!!!

The server brought us lentil cracker and some nice sauces while we looked at the menu. I had the shrimp Marsala curry and asked for medium spice level. I thought it needed more spice and a couple of people dining with me had the same comment. Having said that the dish was delicious. The shrimp were huge and there were five or six in the sauce. The rice was pretty sparse and I could definitely have used more. The naan was a tad greasy. One of my friends ordered the lamb and found the meat a bit inconsistent as some pieces were more tender than others however I did notice he ate it all lol. The other diners were all happy with their entrees. I do think for the price they need to increase the rice and maybe include a piece of naan. I had the mango lassi and surprisingly it was warm- I had to really stir it around and wait for the ice to take effect before it was cool. So overall good- maybe a 3.8?

What a disappointment for a town that sorely misses ethnic food.

There are a…read morecouple of notable things about Naan Appetit that I feel I must share because there is a similarly highly rated Indian restaurant within a stones throw away from Naan that it that also deserves comparison. I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.
