Bad tummy ache after eating the fried seafood platter. Only the fish tasted good. Everything else was old. Cole slaw was bad. Fries were cold and not edible. I didn't see any hush puppies. The key lime pie was not good. Huge disappointment. My meal was $50. I think the bar is a good place to hang out and get drinks but I would not try the food again. The service was good. Also, if you like Villanova, this is the place to be! I had to give it one star bc of the stomachache. Stabbing pain. I don't know if I should try urgent care. I'm def going to a pharmacy. read more

Came here a couple days ago with the family. Never made a yelp review before but I feel like I needed to for this one. The middle aged white man with a beer belly was the rudest person you could imagine. He'd laugh and smirk at anything we'd politely ask. If u want a condescending bartender come here. Fresh seafood and THE best fries ever! This place is a must whether for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Just grab a beer and get ready for some gooood cookin'. We had the Grouper sandwich. Wowza. Huge filet, fresh bun and a side of hand cut, Idaho fries. So darn good. Also had the fried Clam strips. Again sooo very good. Lightly batter and full of flavor. I was in town for a conference and staying at the hotel next door. After a long day I just wanted a quick bite and decided to check this place out. At first I was hesitant because it looked like a group was having a party. It turned out to be a watch party for Villanova basketball. The service was great and you could tell there was a group of regulars who were known by the staff etc. I order the Monster Burger with no bun and tots. It was delicious and salty in just the right way. It really hit the spot. read more

We went in and actually got seated in two tables with our party of 13 and they came back with an excuse that reservations were made months ago for a 60th birthday dinner and made us leave. Funny thing they don't take reservations. Wow I'll never go back read more

Great small restaurant with delicious seafood and super nice staff! Full bar inside and a lovely lit outdoor seating area as well. The outdoor area was great to enjoy the mild weather here in December. Our server, Emily, was the sweetest thing. She recommended the she crab soup which was divine! The restaurant has a nice ambiance, especially for date nights, or to just hang with friends. It's laid back. The food tasted good and was freshly made and we didn't have to wait long. They delivered service with a smile, although the garlicky shrimp was a lot smaller than advised, for the price ($16) & for our appetites. Good seafood. We both got grouper sandwiches. Mine fried, his blackened w tartar and 1000 Island on rye. Fries are amazing. Coastal Colada quite yummy. And they serve Narragansett Beer! Nice touch is that the lettuce on the sandwich is chiffonadde green leaf. Emily was lovely. No waterfront view but you can't see the water from most places anyway. I'd go back. read more

Good deal for lunch. 4 of us and I had a Bloody Mary $56. My son and I had the oysters po-boy and it was delicious. Some wired billing snafu- the guy charged one of our lunches as a dinner. Had to work it out and we did. Otherwise I would have given the 4 stars. read more

When we pulled up I was like, hmm I don't know. Upon entering, i was pleasantly surprised with the inside. Very clean and tastefully appointed decor. Our server was an extremely warm and attentive lady named Andy. She provided excellent service and the food was really good. The onion rings stole the show but I would also recommend the class in garlic butter. Andy also makes an exceptional Moscow Mule. read more

We were seated quickly on a Friday night. They have a nice outdoor seating area. The fried green tomatoes were large and delicious. My husband enjoyed the fried sea food platter which was huge. I had the fish and chips. This fish was Grouper and very good. We had key lime pie for dessert. Molly was a great server and quite helpful. read more

Clint the bartender is a handsome man with impeccable taste. Everything he said, "Get you some of that!" Was the best food we had on the island!!! They have the most amazing she crab soup on the island!! The master burger with pimento cheese and onion rings is unreal!!! Philly cheesesteak is great too!! My husband and I drove in from MD. Food was horrible. Are waiter was amazing and without him we would have walked out. They cooked our steam clams in the microwave. Totally gross. The owner gave lots of excuses but we didn't care she was rude and I wish we never wasted our time. So we drank our dinner and went back to our hotel. read more

Fantastic Find. On a travel stop, found this local gem, where everyone seems to know each other, and make newcomers right at home. We had happy hour at a high top table at the bar, beer was cold and good. Oyster bucket special was huge, and different than anything I have ever saw - oysters in clusters. Fish tacos were great, fried oysters were awesome, and the pretzel was tasty. Ask for Emily, she was great read more

Friendly & knowledgeable waiter went over the specials and then starting us off with some drinks from the bar. We order the Grover's Fries for an appetizer. It was fries loaded with bacon, feta & blue cheese, green onion, and a balsamic reduction. They were so good I was a little mad when the waiter cleared them off our table before I was able to finish them all. In his defense, he asked if I wanted a box (to take food home) and I said no. I failed to tell mention I was going to eat more fries, but was still working on the Drydock steampot which had shrimp, mussels, clams, crab legs, corn and sausage. Enjoyed it! read more

We were staying next door at the Home2Suites and wanted to grab a late night drink. We walked in the door and immediately you could smell the bar funk. I was leery of staying but knew that we weren't going to eat and alcohol kills everything. I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

We ventured into Drydock because we were tired of waiting an hour for a dinner table at the popular tourist restaurants at Hilton Head. About 18 months prior, my family and I had accidentally come across DryDock and enjoyed our outdoor dining in the evening under the light strands and surrounded by the trees and natural art. This is such a pleasant place to grab a burger, pork chop or drinks and appetizers. Our server Carli was so sweet and personable which added to the great service she provided. She even sent the bartender out to let my husband know about all the IPAs they had available to choose from (which ended up being a great local craft brewery's). So don't wait for hours at those high-traffic restaurants (which are also tasty BTW) when you can enjoy good food, atmosphere and local folks at Dry Dock. The outdoor space is very pleasant and the food is tasty and good quality. AND the prices are reasonable for the menu selection which provides many good options! Use those wait times for a beach walk, sunset, biking, swim or pickleball and support this local gem!! read more

Met the owner Vicki and she was awesome. Incredibly accommodating and truly cared about the experience. John was bartending. He was hilarious. The food was great. I got ribs and buffalo boneless chicken wings as an app. As an entree I had the snow crab leg dinner. Atmosphere is inviting and laid back. Will gladly be back. read more

Every year we come to Hilton Head for a week. We never eat here less than twice. My favorite restaurant in the island!!! The best food on the island if you ask me. Small town feel with big time taste. Oysters, shrimp, clams, grouper are all outstanding!! Maybe my favorite restaurant on the planet!! Very fitting decor for a seafood restaurant on hilton head. Very accommodating to let us have the bucket price for happy hour oyters in the bar at our table as my wife is in a wheelchair. The oyster were great nice big bucket $14.00 great price. The she crab soup was creamy and nice. Kids mac great and the huspuppies were great had to order a second basket. Only complaint and the reason for 4 stars they brough a grey colores dirty rag to the table with bucket and said it clean it just looks dirty, and they were out horseradish sauce. read more

Amazing food and bang for your buck when it comes to the fried seafood platter. Best deal in town and best flavor! We've been coming here for years and don't know how we've never checked this place out. Our server was amazing and gave us some great recommendations which we happily took! Loved the blackened mahi-mahi taco and super juicy burger. Fries are so good. The spicy Sauce that went with the fried green tomatoes were bomb! We picked up Dry Dock on our first day on the island. We went in around 8p on a Sunday to pick up our food and it was not very crowded, but they mentioned it does get very busy in the early evening. When ordering on the phone, they were very polite and helpful as we did not have the menu in front of us. We had the grouper sandwich and the house salad with grouper. Per their advice, we got tater tots as a side due to they travel better than fries. The food was excellent and the fish was so large that we couldn't even eat it all! We ate the leftovers the next day and they tasted just as good as the night before, which is not always the case with leftovers. We all decided Dry Dock is going to be our first stop every time we get into the island late. read more

We weren't awestruck when we walked in, but by the time we were greeted and served we were believers. The food was to die for, only outdone by the fine service we received from Piper. What an amazing guy. It probably was the best service we have encountered in ages. Don't pass this place by, especially if you have the good fortune to have Piper wait on you. read more

Old school, no frills seafood joint with mid century nautical decor. The steam pot is fire baby!! All the fixings' Crab legs, clams, mussels, corn, and potatoes. The fish and chips are great with fresh grouper. Down home service with southern charm. Will definitely be back whenever in Hilton Head!! read more

The food came back cooked on a dirty, greasy grill with salt, pepper flakes, and oil. All of this is toxic to dogs. My dog was severely dehydrated and had to stay overnight. The vet bill was over $2,000. The chefs here have zero training on what dogs can and cannot eat. If you have a small dog, please do not order from this menu. You are putting your pet's life at risk.
