Amazing food and vibe. Highly recommend the whipped feta and I hate feta but ate 2 orders of this. The Meza options are great and we opted for the olives, beets and humus. Humus was okay, the warm pita was delicious along with some of the sweetest tomatoes and carrots I've had this season. Drinks were on point and refreshing for the patio. The Shuk espresso Martina was perfect post drive in from NC and the start to a fabulous evening on the town.

The food was top notch . Great service and a lively upscale atmosphere. Came to Savanna for the day and found this gem . Food was seasoned to perfection. Nice shady outdoor seating . Inside was beautiful as well .

I stopped by for a late lunch and was immediately struck by the clean, inviting aesthetic of the place. You order at the counter, and they provide a number for your table. The server was friendly and patiently answered all our questions, which made the experience even better. I went with a bowl featuring green chicken shawarma over a greens base, and it was exactly what I wanted (light, fresh, and packed with flavor). The chicken was perfectly seasoned with a vibrant, herby blend, and the dressing it came with was a delicious touch. I was so impressed with the meal that I forgot to take any pictures! Highly satisfied and will definitely be back.

Shuk is located at the corner of Anderson and Habersham inside an old coffee shop. It has lots of inside sitting along with outside tables and a small bar toward the back which your furry babies are welcome to sit in as well. There is a walk up window and a few parking spots on the side off Anderson street or you can find lots of free parking on the street. Their menu is a mix of mediterranean meets middle eastern. There is something for everyone and everything is reasonably priced. On the weekends they offer brunch. The baked omelets are delicious served with hummus and a tomato & cucumber salad on top. Many dishes are marked for allergies and many things can be made gluten free, vegetarian or vegan if you just ask. They have bowls which can be made with rice or greens for a salad, pitas, different type of hummus dishes served with fresh pita which is perfect if you just want something to nibble on. They also have coffee... with a small selection of sweets if you would prefer. Their chai is delicious with just the right mix of spices and cinnamon. During the holidays they have a winter wonderland bar set up with white lights and a winter drink theme menu. Along with live music during the week.

Perfect spot to grab a healthy meal. Great service each time we have come. I enjoy that this place is not on the main tourist strip so the ambience is more relaxed. I would still consider this walking distance from Forsyth park.

We came in for the Holiday pop up, Chalet. So cute! It definitely is more winter themed than Christmas, which is a nice variation from the other pop ups around Savannah. Great drink selection and super cute decor. Surprisingly, my fav holiday pop up so far.

Supper club review: wonderful conversations, excellent flavors, something for everyone! I heard about their supper club from their email listserv. When I saw the email come in, I knew tickets would sellout quickly and they did! Sign-up was easy. Tickets were$75 for 3 courses but he courses were served family style for most things except one app and the dessert. Every course except dessert had multiple dishes and the food was excellent so well worth it! They had the option of an additional wine pairing ticket to buy but I opted out since I was driving myself I did order one glass of red with dinner and that was perfect. Appetizers: Brisket bites (family style) - meat was so flavorful and tender! The pita was puffy and robust. I loved the pomegranate seeds on this. Beef zucchini rolls (plated) - ground beef was flavorfulamd not heavy. I loved the spiced sauce. Had a little bit of heat to it. Mains (family style): Wild Rice Dates Salad - fresh with so many great textures. I lo ed the roasted chickpeas in this. Added a great crunchy! Braised Short Rib Mujadara - meat was phenomenal. Full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and moist. The carrots were something else! They were cooked in Hunter Cattle tallow which added this full flavor to them Shawarma Chicken Thighs - my favorite main dish. Thighs were sliced and presented in a colorful dish of delicious hazelnut muhamurrah. I loved the sliced peppers on top which added a good spiciness for me. Dessert: Chocolate cookie with Matcha pistachio semi-freddo (plated) - how did we have space for dessert you might be wondering? I have no idea! I could only eat some of this. Some folks took their cookies home and are the semi-freddo there. The cookies were BUTTERY like on a whole other level from any I've had before. Aside from the amazing food, I also had the pleasure of sitting with Del and Debra of Hunter Cattle. Del gave a short talk before the food about how they started Hunter Cattle as a way to grow their own food for family health concerns. Sitting with them, I was able to learn more about them and their farm. Unforgettable! Next time: I'll definitely do a future supper club and bring a friend!

    Mediterranean Cobb salad with falafel
    Kim B.

So good! I ordered lunch (to go) from here and got the falafel salad and whipped feta. They were both so good and filling. The whipped feta is OMG - amazing. I'll definitely be back to try other items on their menu. There's a small lot next to the restaurant and then street parking around. And it's a really nice interior. Round 2: Came back for more and this time added a hummus no 1, so good, Mediterranean Cobb (delicious and filling) and more whipped feta (I'm addicted). Wasn't a fan of the tabbouleh tho.

So I backed out, drove over a few spaces down and then pulled back into another parking spot. When my kids and I walked in, we were immediately greeted by a man as he was sweeping the store. That's one thing of the first things I noticed that it was really clean and organized. I asked him if the store was new and if it had just opened. I have been to Viet Huong quite a few times, as well as visiting the countless other businesses in that complex and this was the first time I had noticed Al Maddineh Halal Meat & Grocery Market (AMHMGM). No, he said, we have been open for about a year and a half now. Whoa! Really?! I have never noticed it before! - What you will find - I found the "Shan" brand that I have previously seen it at an Indian grocery store. It seems to be a variety of boxed spice mixes for various dishes like Kofta and Vegetable Masala. I actually bought a couple of them at the Indian grocery store upon that owners recommendation on Tandoori chicken, but I have yet to try them. Anyway, they have quite a variety of flavors of that brand. They also have bulk spices, dried pastas, canned goods and pita breads. They have a milk section as well as a refrigerated section where I found Labna!!!! It's probiotic and it's so good with really any fruit. I had some figs so I scooped out some labna and drizzled maple syrup because (a) Canadian side and (b) I didn't have honey. I am so glad I found this gem here! And of course the Halal Meat. There was a customer there at the time of our visit and the butcher was working away at cutting it the way she requested. The meat looked fresh and I've included the price list (see pics). They don't have any meat displayed in glass fridge cases, so I am assuming they butcher the meat upon request? There is also a small section of prayer mats and scarves there as well. I love discovering ethnic grocery stores and finding cool new food items to try. I also love seeing the different packaging of the same products we get here! Note to self for future - try some of the cheeses.

Found this lil gem as we were out at the outlet Mall. Wow guys!!…read more I Love kabab but this is the Best place for Kebab I've found so far! The girls inside greet you as you walk in and they are never without their gorgeous smiles! This place feels like one big family dinner experience! All of the girls take very good care of you. You start out with an appetizer plate of sorts; really just an accompaniment to the Hot lil bread pillows of Yum (more on these in a bit!). A corn slaw served alongside a tangy delish yogurt and some sliced Green olives. Super yum! Now the PITA? Puffy little pillows of HEAVEN. The girls put them thru the salamander oven to toast up just before bringing them to the table. so when they set them in front of you? They are Piping Hot and Toasty, with a touch of sweet.... DELICIOUSNESS!!! We were going to order the kabab Mixed platter in order to try a variety of kabab; but our sweet server told us about a better way to go! Upon her recommendation we got two of the kabab plates, complete with salad and pilaf - AND we were still able to sample multiple kabab! I got the shrimp and lamb while the hubs got the beef and lamb. Complete the plate with a moist lightly flavored pilaf and the Jerusalem Salad and I'm Tellin you!! Drool Worthy!!! The kebab are cooked perfectly? With a lil pink onboard; and the flavor? Spiced PERFECTLY! Lamb with Zero gaminess and ALLLLL the YUM!! Slightly smoky from the grill and slightly sweet in the background. With hints of Cumin coming to the party. One of my Absolute favorite spices! The shrimp is sweet with undertones of citrus and something else I couldn't quite place These puppies are ginormous and cooked to plump juicy perfection! The salad is a fresh mix of cucumber and tomatoes w slight hints of mint and parsley and lemon heightened w just a touch of salt. This place is AWESOME!!! But I decided to go with the positive reviews I had seen--and I'm really glad I did. The cashier was incredibly kind and attentive, which made a great first impression. I ordered the mixed platter for one and swapped the lamb kofta for chicken kofta. Everything was delicious--flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. The chicken, steak, and kofta were all done really well. I especially loved that they give extra whipped garlic (because honestly, you can never have enough), and the bread... SO good. Fresh, warm, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, despite my initial hesitation, the food and service really won me over. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

I love Greek food and I always enjoy venturing out to new restaurants. I went in on a Wednesday. My waitress, Hannah, was amazing. I also was provided a complimentary appetizer and she said "OPA" with me. It was truly an experience. I decided to try the branzino and I'm so happy I did! The fish was seasoned to perfection- it was fresh and light. I enjoyed it with their rice/peas and you have to have the Greek lemon potatoes. The food in itself had me wishing that I had more time to try more entrees on the menu. I had lived in Savannah for over three years and had neglected to visit them. I took the Greek lemon chicken home and Hannah packed me a little dessert to enjoy. I had mentioned my apartment was packed and she packed me extra silverware and napkins to go.
