You can get better sushi at the grocery store. Upon arrival we were told by the waitress that we shouldn't order sushi due to a long wait time. When we asked for an estimate, she said 40-45 minutes. We decided to stay, order a few appetizers, and wait it out since my wife and friends have been eyeing this place for a while. Unfortunately, our sushi didn't arrive until what was nearly an hour and a half later. Based on the reviews, we hoped the food might redeem the experience. It didn't. The rolls were extremely underwhelming. The portion of fish on each roll was minimal, borderline stingy and the flavors were bland. Worst of all, my wife found what appeared to be a nose hair or a male eyelash embedded in her roll. Disgusting discovery that ended the meal for us. This was easily the worst sushi/dining experience we've all had in years. Between the poor service, the excessive wait, the disappointing food, and the hygiene issue, this place is a complete miss. I won't be back, and I definitely won't recommend it to any friends or family that visit Temecula. read more

This is a great family owned and operated restaurant! We love coming here, every time we do it never disappoints. The Kevin Special is one of our favorites, highly recommend. As soon as you walk in it's a newer feel with a more update to vibe rather than the some other sushi spots. Their booths one side is bench seating and the other side is an actually booth. The booths are raised on like a platform. We were greeted almost immediately, but a friendly face. The employees were attentive. We wanted the chicken wings but unfortunately the restaurant ran out. We deceived on three rolls: lobster volcano roll, canyon roll, and the sunset roll. Each built with elegance. The fish seemed very fresh, and each roll had their own distinct flavor. Decided to stop by while in the area for an early dinner. This place was fairly new and had an average 5 star rating, so that made me curious. We were seated immediately at a booth, given our drinks and menu shortly thereafter. We didn't want any sashimi this day, just entreés and rolls. Their sashimi menu looked pretty good too, so we deferred this to a future visit. The entreés were served first, and the rolls took about 30 minutes to get served. We ordered quite a few rolls. The server informed us prior that this may happen, which was good, as we had anticipated it. The rolls actually came out quicker than anticipated though, but if you're in rush when their restaurant gets busy, then this place is probably not the best option. The rolls were delicious, and all the fish tasted fresh. The entreés were good too (don katsu and teriyaki). The popcorn lobster roll wasn't worth the price though. You have these tiny popcorn bits that are supposedly lobster, but you really can't taste the lobster. It tastes more like poppers with batter. I wouldn't order this roll again. The baked salmon roll was good. Perfectly seared. Of course you can't go wrong with the lemon salmon roll. Overall, good food, fresh fish, and staff were friendly and welcoming. The wait was a bit longer than other sushi restaurants, but as mentioned above, we were informed that this would happen. Would come back to try their sashimi next time. Good sushi for the area. Wow, I am super impressed. I think I have found my new go to sushi spot! This place is a gem. The service was amazing. Our server went above and beyond and she was such a pleasure to talk to. We ordered salmon lovers roll, Cajun ahi roll, & then my husband ordered a sushi boat option C. The flavor of the sushi was delicious. The fish was very fresh. I loved the salmon lovers roll! The sriracha gave it a nice little kick. The Cajun roll is good as well but you definitely have to be a tuna lover. My husband loved his sushi boat and thought it was worth the money. The establishment & bathroom is kept very clean. The inside has such cute decor. They do have the option to sit outside on the patio which is available when they get a little more busy. You guys! This place is amazing. Recently opened and it's so good. My family and I came here to try out a new place and we're glad we did. Everything is fresh and service is great. Everyone is so nice, great location. Only thing is that it's they are still a little short staff however they are pushing through and doing their best. Today we had their sushi boat and was delicious. Love the variety of sushi and the freshness of it. Before that we ordered their edamame, gyozas, dragon roll and egg rolls. Which was perfect to get our appetite going before the sushi boat. Sushi Sushi has a good line up of on tap beers including Sapporo which of course goes great with sushi. I'm not usually the biggest sushi fan, but I felt the experience here was so good it was enough to leave a review. The service here is amazing despite their small staff. My waitress was always there on time whenever I needed anything and was very very polite. I ordered the california roll and it was delicious, definitely one of the best I have had. My new favourite sushi spot in Temecula! This place was opened less than a month ago but is already getting recognised and popular thanks to its great food and fantastic customer service. The Sushi Sushi has well designed menu that is easy to read and offers really good selection of different dishes, sushi selection being the hero of course. We sampled their bento like box called dinner box special and three different sushi rolls. The dinner box special is a good choice as it allows you to try tempura, miso soup, various meats, and your choice of sushi roll. Everything served was fresh, well balanced and super tasty. Food quality is always great but the service can really suck. Sometimes it can take 30+ mins just to get your drink. Then rolls can take an hour or longer. The young waitresses are very nice, but it seams that they are a little understaffed. This restaurant is a family run restaurant! They do the best with what they could. It takes a lot to run a restaurant and sometimes it takes a little longer to get your food. Sushi takes precision, it's a craft that needs to be taught! I think a lot of these comments on the wait time are understandable but the chef takes pride in his sushi so he makes sure everything comes out great. There is a sign that states to please wait to be seated, we waited several minutes and the servers just kept going back and forth not acknowledging us, but they both saw us and made eye contact. After about 5 minutes or so I went and asked if we could sit at an empty table and they said to go ahead. It was not a busy night, there were only about 4 tables occupied. First thing they told us is if we were planning on ordering sushi, it would be about 40 minutes. It was late and we agreed to wait in hopes it wouldn't take that long. It indeed took that long for our party of 3 to each get our rolls. Again, it was not a busy night. The sushi rolls used entirely too much imitation crab, but the fish and roll itself were flavorful. It does take a moment to get food, and that's because they just opened, but the waitress explained that our original order of the sushi deluxe boat would be over 40 min. So we changed to 3 rolls , lemon salmon, canyon roll, and a pumpkin something roll. The fish was good. The flavor was good. The use of the crab in all rolls was not my thing but still good. Fresh Wasabi yum. Also, it's a cute place with a patio to eat at and good music. The bathrooms, though, since I am a stickler, could use a scrubbing. Surface clean and cute, but it wasn't the worst but could be cleaned a lot better. Overall, it was ok. Maybe I'll come back to sample the boat. We really wanted to love this place after seeing a rave review on Facebook, but it was a let down. The service was phenomenal, everyone was so kind here and I would give ten stars for that. We were the first ones seated right before dinner and food still took awhile. The tempura wasn't as many pieces as I'd expect for $9, the two shrimp tempuras were slim and it was all greasy. Gyoza was ok, the veggie roll was good, but my friend's teriyaki chicken was raw which they ended up comping off our bill which was nice. Even when she sat us down, she didn't at least ask us for a drink order. The food was overall good. One bad thing about the food was that the eel still had bones in it. Typically they debone the eel. Its never appetizing to serve customers with fish they have to debone themselves. Especially if you're supposed to simply eat it in one bite and not have to pick apart your sushi. I love the food here is very good and the ambiance is nice. However the service is very much lacking. It's not that the staff is rude but they can be very slow even when theres only 2 other tables. My dad and I went in there today and ordered the first round of food. It was slow but spaced out pretty good. By the time we finished our food we wanted to add one more dish before we went home so we ordered it. I don't know if they forgot about it but we waited about 20-25 minutes for it and we never got it. Now my dad doesn't want to go back and I was still hungry. It's a shame about the service because they really have good food. I think they need more help, I know its family ran but I think they need at least one more sushi chef and one more server. Everything was well explained by the waiting staff. Ordered the lunch special and came with California roll, crunch roll and the spicy tuna, miso soup and salad. All was delicious and was a good deal for 16 dollars. Also ordered the Cajun ahi tuna roll. Was delicious although was a bit warm wish the fish was colder. But delicious and fresh fish.
