    Spicy chicken plate

My family and I came here to satisfy a sushi craving we had and it delivered! We had sushi rolls and the kids had a plate and some noodles. So full of flavor and great texture on the chicken, even my kids finished their food which is rare. Our sushi rolls tasted good, but want to go back to try other sushi rolls they have. I love the crunchy texture so I'd want to try some of their other rolls. The server was so friendly and tended to us so patiently with the kids. It wasn't too busy on a week night so it felt like service could've been quicker but not that bad. The place looked clean and cute for the most part but the tables are a wood type of material and felt sticky even though it was wiped down.

This is a regular ramen and sushi place for my family. We enjoy the nostalgic style of ramen here. It's very much like the good old fashioned cup o noodles but on steroids. The noodles are thick and chewy in a savory clear broth. Super delicious! It's very spicy so ask for mild. I love spicy and the regular was too spicy for me. The sushi is also very fresh and yummy.

The food was delicious. I got the teriyaki beef box that came with miso soup a roll of choice rice tempura and a salad, we also ordered the beef udon noodles and spicy garlic edamame as well as a few other rolls and chicken teriyaki plate Everything was delicious. No one had any complaints. Our service was awesome although the food did come out a little slow, our server was amazing. She was so sweet. It's casual vibe and great food I'm sure is what brings its regulars back. Definitely worth stepping in and checking out!

Absolutely love this hidden gem. My favorite sushi spot in all of Temecula. From the owners to the servers, ambience and absolutely delicious rolls. The restaurant is quaint and cute, love the vibe. Always enjoy my visits/dinner.

I think the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, wait time for your order is significantly lengthy. Considering the amount of customers that were present, I didn't understand why my order took an hour plus from order to delivery. On top of that, the orders came out sporadically so I was finished before my family members. On average, 15-20 minutes apart. The food was average but satisfying. Unfortunately, I would not come back.

Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every roll was perfection! This place is very small but the interior is so nice. The staff is extremely friendly. Easily my new go-to spot for sushi in Temecula.

Upon arrival we were greeted immediately and was asked to put our name on the waiting list. There were two tables open and the entire bar was open. However since it was our first time there, we just thought the bar was closed since they didn't mentioned we can sit there. As they clean the tables another table wanted to switch tables, so that they got to clean that too. It's not a big place at all. It felt really busy though. I don't think they have a system down so it felt kind of all over the place. One person cleaned and sat everyone while the other two I saw was doing other things. The one person who clean and sat everyone also ended up taking our orders as well. She pretty much did everything. We ordered and sat, while doing that regulars came in because they sat at the bar and was served immediately. They knew what was up. Have we have known we could have save 30 mins waiting. It was so strange. Anyhow the food was good and very enjoyable. The service as mentioned although all over the place it was very nice and thoughtful. I would definitely come here again when in the area. Thanks a bunch for the recs. Can't wait to try their other dishes.

I'd give this place 3.5 stars. I don't know if this place would have been better on a weekend due to being staffed better, but we'll see. I would still go back. My husband and I came on a Tuesday night around 8:30. There were a few tables open, but they were all dirty and covered in previous guests' plates. The host told us to wait there until they could get it cleaned up. It didn't seem too priority though and we waited awhile. It also took a bit to get the menu and a water order in. The table was really sticky so we felt like we couldn't put our elbows up. That being said, the food was good, the waitress was nice, and The food came out quickly. We ordered the sunset roll and the Cajun roll. We also ordered this thing called a firecracker that wasn't on the menu. It's a fried rice with spicy tuna on top. It also came with avocado on top. It was good. The Cajun roll was my favorite. Overall, I'd go back, but I'm hoping the service is slightly better and the place is cleaner.

Yakisoba Veggie Noodles, Crunchy tempura, Cali roll, and salmon lover roll with a green iced tea.

I've been thinking about this meal and how good the sauce is for those noodles !! Definitely will be going back! Service was also incredible and provided for a beautiful environment for our Saturday outing.

All of the servers were friendly, attentive, and quick to check in on us. We never had to flag anyone down or wait long for assistance. The menu offers a great variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. We ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Udon, Garlic Edamame, and a variety of rolls. Everything came out quickly, was fresh, and tasted great. The ramen and rolls were especially enjoyable, and there wasn't much left behind except for the broth. The only item that missed the mark for me was the Garlic Edamame. It was coated in quite a bit of sauce, which ended up overpowering the flavor of the edamame itself. I'd recommend ordering it with less sauce or asking for it on the lighter side if possible. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the food was good, and the service was attentive. If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely stop by again.

I was hoping for soy sauce and spicy tuna, not a front row theater seat of political stress-induced nausea. Food may have been fine, but the atmosphere completely ruined my appetite. There are enough places in the world pushing politics at us all day long I don't need it with my California roll too. Unfortunately won't be coming back. There are many other sushi restaurants to enjoy in temecula. This is not one.

This time, I specifically tried some dishes I hadn't tried before. The omelet rice had a very soft egg crepe, and the rice inside was incredibly fragrant; it was a perfect match with ketchup. I also recommend the kimchi fried rice, topped with a fried egg--very appetizing. The lean and fatty roll was also refreshing and healthy, suitable for those on a diet. The grilled fish and fried shrimp heads were also delicious, fried to a crisp, and made a great side dish. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and give it a five-star rating! The sushi itself was mediocre. The fish was ok, kids said they liked their rolls but you can't go wrong with rolls, right? The amount of ginger and wasabi they provided was ridiculous. Price for the quality is ridiculous. It was a Saturday night at 6pm and the place was empty. This place used to be so busy! That should've been a red flag when we walked in. We have tried other local sushi places around the area and we always find ourselves comparing everything to this place. It's not a fancy high-end expensive sushi place where you need reservations days or weeks in advance. On the contrary, it's a small sushi restaurant that's part of a several chains of restaurant in town in a strip mall and it's a first come first serve basis. The environment is very pleasant and quite intimate. It's got just enough lighting and ambience to make it feel very homey and comfortable. There are a few TVs around to watch sports if you need to, but otherwise it's a nice place for dinner with family or friends to just enjoy good food, beer from the tap and chill and have conversations. Over the years, they have changed some of the menu pricing and different types of specials but nonetheless everything here is top-notch in my book. If you are ever craving for fresh oysters, this is the best right here! The rolls are a good size as well as the sashimi which is always fresh and highest grade and taste excellent every single time. My daughter asked for another cherry and she brought a whole bowl. I took off a star for two reasons: 1) the women's restroom was very messy and dirty (clogged toilet, paper towels and toilet paper everywhere). When you go to the restroom right before dinner and this is what you see, it is very unappetizing. 2) our chef was very boring and did the bare minimum, even after I requested a chef who is extra good with kids when I made my reservation. I grew up going to the Shogun in Pasadena, and those chefs knew how to put on a show. The remodel really elevated the ambiance. The wallpaper is beautiful. The food was delicious, no complaints there.

It came out to about $50 each person because the tip was already priced in. I had the teriyaki chicken which ironically was the worst part of the meal. The place was very busy and looked elegant and the style with the waitress and cooks were totally different and very fast flowing than the last time I came here. They all were nice and happy. It was a bit hot in there and the cook with the knives we really sweating. If I thought too much about it then it would have grossed me out since he was wiping his sweat on his sleeves which was close to the knives. He did a lot of magic tricks and I think he expected tips because I saw his tips jar with money in it. However no one tipped because most were teens which was a good thing since they forced an 18% tip into the final price anyway without asking. I had a problem with the garlic butter and the jokes about it which was said to be the secret ingredient. As you can see in the pictures it was huge like a cake,! Not healthy at all since it was used for the rice, vegetables, lobster, noodles, chicken, and salmon. (More garlic butter than oil) This was definitely not Japanese style-or Korean style for that matter. When you got Gen restaurant and cook for yourself, you're not throwing garlic butter on everything. It's a good party time if you have the money for it and not annoyed about all the garlic butter being used in every dish.

There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.
