I don't have a yelp so I'm using my husband's account but I felt the experience was worthy of it. I had my hair colored and styled this week by Minh. She was incredible. I had never been to the salon before but it was awesome. Minh was excellent at what she did. And she was so fun to be around. She made me feel comfortable about my decision to cut six inches off (whoa!) and she did a nice job giving me some depth and texture with color. I'm pretty picky, and she nailed it. The vibe of the entire asking was great. Thank you so much for giving me confidence and treating me so well. Sometimes when you get your hair colored it's shocking and you're waiting for it to wash out a little, not this time, it was a refreshing look immediately. Angela is the best. You would think cutting straight hair on a guy wouldn't be that difficult, but I've probably had more questionable haircuts than legit ones. I've been going to Angela for years now and besides her ability to properly cut my hair she has a fun and outgoing personality. My wife and I love her so much we had her and the girls from Swank do my wife's hair and her entire bridal party for our wedding. Nichole restored my confidence not only in hair salons but also myself! I have had really bad experiences at salons the last few times and ended up letting my hair grow out to a ridiculous length and color. Went and saw the awesome Angela. She took my over grown balayage and made it the ashy toned blonde I wished for. She took the time to understand my hair and texture. She listened to the color I was wanted and made sure I was happy with it. She rinsed at one color , blow dried me a little to make sure I liked it. When I wanted my grey , she put me right back in the shampoo bowl and toned me again. Plus I got an extra head rub out of it. She is a super sweet and easy to talk to as well. Everyone working is very friendly and chats with you as well. Love Megan she was always sweet but our schedule didn't line up this time due to my schedule but Angela was perfect. The last 3 years or so I have been seeing the stylist Angela, and followed her when she recently moved to The Swank Studio! I am biracial and finding someone to cut my curly, thick hair has been a quite a challenge. After finding a great Deva Curl trained stylist on the East Coast I specifically searched for one that could could work with my hair (and me)- since I cannot always describe what cut I want aside from not losing length or giving me a triangle cut. Considering the thickness of my hair and specialty cut; the pricing has always been very reasonable. She has also started to teach me how to style my hair in different ways so that I can attempt to style it myself in new ways for different occasions and events, which is particularly important for me in the balance of my profession and play!!! ;) I also must say that The Swank Studio is definitely my favorite of the different salons that Angela has been at! All of the stylists here extremely nice and personable. There are always some type of drinks or snacks being offered. Not to mention that I always seem to walk out with some great jewelry or fashionable scarves as well. I booked my first appointment with Angela and as soon as I walked in she greeted me very kindly, sat me down and asked me what I wanted. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted my hair to look. I love Swank Studio! This place is a little gem. Angela has been my stylist for some time now. She is friendly and professional. I love how great my hair looks and feels after my appointments. I was stuck in a rut with highlights and layers, but Angela suggested I try balayage. I could get my blonde, but it would be easier upkeep and less damaging to my hair. Needless to say I love it! I am always getting compliments on my hair color. She has always had great suggestions and helps guide me to getting the look I want to achieve. She knows how to make my fine hair look healthy and gives great tips for the best upkeep between appointments. My son who has thick curly hair, and my daughter who has fine dry hair have both started coming to see Angela. Angela is a magician when it comes to hair. I followed her from her previous location, and also should admit that before I met her, I never went to another hairdresser more than once. My hair is curly and thick. For the first time in my life, I don't feel like my hair is a burden. Ever felt guilty or apologetic to someone struggling over your hair? I have. No pain with Angela. I don't think I ever brought a picture to her or knew much of what I wanted, but I left it to her and she rocked it. My hair is cut in a way that I can wash and wear, and look great (it's an A-line bob). Even if I sleep on it wet. I seriously can't mess this up. She asks simple questions that help to hash out what you like, and is so easy to talk to! When you're under the dryer she'll bring you a little espresso or water. It's a great experience. I also want to share about the time my mom came in from Oregon and Angela was able to get her in the next day. My mom's hair is also frizzy, with a little less curl. It is extremely difficult to find a place and someone to cut your hair or even dye your hair the way you want it. I am super picky on how someone cuts my hair. I am a guy but I like a nice cut. Before I went to Swank, I was at another salon but I felt that each time I went in I would explain what I want and the end results weren't anything what I wanted. I found Nichole on Instagram and instantly fell in LOVE with her work. My first time there I came in with brassy highlights with a strange ombre going on but Nichole color corrected to me to a gorgeous honey blonde. I have gone back and forth between color but each time Nichole listens to what I want and explains exactly what she is doing/going to do. She never rushes either and is so easy to talk to. She also did my wedding hair and it was absolutely perfect. All she did was look at a picture and it came out better than I could have ever imagined. She is always flexible with my availability. I have a 3 1/2 yr old son and I have been taking him with Angela since right before he turned 2 yrs old. I absolutely LOVE coming to this salon! I found it after reading reviews on Yelp when we PCS'd here to Camp P a year ago. I've come 4-5 times now and am hooked! The girls are so down to earth and so friendly! Not like the typical gossipy salon's I've been to in the past.
