I came here because it was featured in a yelp email. Since it was in my neck of the woods I thought I would check it out. First off, the shop itself is lovely. It feels very clean. It also feels warm and welcoming. It's not a very large place. The best part is the display that showcases all of the cupcakes. They are clearly labeled so you know what choices are available. The hard part is deciding which ones you want. I ordered ten so we could try a variety. The cupcakes are not overly sweet. I was told you need to eat them right away or make sure they are refrigerated. They are not overly huge so you don't feel like you are ingesting your calorie count for the week. They are light but full of flavor. My favorite item was the tres leche bar that I bought based on the number of reviews suggesting it was a must. The reviews were correct. It is amazing. Popped in here and got a few items for tasting. They are practicing social distancing by serving customers at the door and not having anyone inside. Not a huge deal, makes you feel good about personal safety etc. Got 4 cupcakes and one tres leches bar. Cupcakes- the size you used to serve in elementary school and easy to handle. Moist and flavorful, you can go with traditional flavors like peanut butter and chocolate, key lime- or red bean, pistachio. They are not super sweet, but just enough for you to get your fix in. Icing is cream- so if you're not eating these right away you should be chilling these in the fridge for later. The tres leches bar was so tasty, I wanted it to magically reappear but alas it was gone long before I wanted it to be. Everything is made with great personal effort and touch. I'll be back. Due to the fact that it was on the way, we decided to stop by The sweet spot bakery to deliver cupcakes for our friend's birthday. When we arrived at the door,there was an instruction to fill out an order form and to ring the bell when we were ready. It was our first time being there so it was taking awhile for us to pick our cupcake from the choices. As if they knew, a gentleman came out of the shop and greeted us. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The price for each cupcake ranged from $1.95-2.95. We ended up buying 6 cupcakes for our friend and 1 of our own. He came out with our order and they were so aesthetically pleasing to look at. He stated to wait for 15mins before eating them because they are kept frozen to maintain their freshness. If not eating them right away, they need to stay refrigerated because the frosting is made of whipped cream. They can stay refrigerated up to 3 days. Now,down to the most important part of the review ..the taste! We had the blueberry cupcake. The cupcake was moist and filled with Real BLUEBERRY! I always get an assorted sample of cupcakes just so I can try different flavors. Only bad thing is I get so many each time that I sometimes have a hard time remembering which flavors I got... Some of the cupcakes flavor is very subtle/light so it's hard to tell which one it is. But personally I really liked the milk tea flavor, Thai tea, taro and blueberry. I love how the cupcakes do not feel too heavy. I can actually eat a whole cupcake without feeling like I am overdosing on sugar. Pleasantly surprised, Asian flavors inside a cupcake?! Ordered the Taro, Lychee, Red Bean and Matcha, I could see why the taro is a crowd favorite but for me the real star is the lychee cupcakes. The lychee flavor is pronounced without overpowering the sponge cupcake. I enjoyed the hidden morsels of lychee in the cake as well, to give a nice contrast in texture. The slight sour notes of the lychee brighten the sweetness and add layers of flavor and texture you typically don't find in a cupcake. You can't go wrong with any of the cupcakes actually. I'll give it to you straight. If you're craving a cupcake and you don't come here, you're being a moron. Each cupcake is loaded with flavor and the texture is perfectly moist. I hate that word but it's the only word that'll suffice here. The banana cream pie cupcake has real bits of banana in it and the the frosting is not overly sweet, as many cupcakes tend to be. One of the BEST tres leches cake I've ever been blessed to indulge in. I also got an apple cupcake (not exactly sure the exact name but I know it was something apply, must be seasonal because they no longer have it available.) They also have tres leches squares if you're interested in one serving. The cake itself is HUGE and could probably feed at least 15-20 people. We had 14 and nearly ate it all. I was on the search for a type of milk tea flavored cake and came across this store through Google. They didn't have milk tea flavored cakes, but did offer cupcakes with a variety of milk tea flavors which was close enough. They have an online ordering system which is very convenient, especially if you don't want to walk up to the store and discover they are sold out of a flavor you wanted to try. This place was a long way from where I live, so I had to make sure I got the flavors I wanted. Online system also is a prepay method so you just pick up at the store when the order is ready. I ordered a day in advanced, so I'm not sure if they do it same day. Definitely the best cupcakes I've ever had my entire life of existence. They're moist and have unique flavors. I would give them a 4 stars or higher rating but they need to work on better customer work flow. I placed an order for pickup two days prior. In terms of busyness, there were 3 customers including me. There were two guys up on the counter. One guy was getting an order ready for the first customer. This other lady in front of me took forever to ordered. She wanted 2 dozen and while trying to place her 2nd dozen of cupcakes she was on the phone asking whoever what they want. The whole ordeal took 12-15mins. It was so freaking annoying, while the worker was just waiting for her to finish calling and place her order. He kept saying he'll be right with me, but i wanted to say I am here for a pick up, didn't give a chance to say anything. I should of been more vocal about it. After alot of swapping cupcakes and pausing to think of which flavors to choose the lady was finally done and paid. Again, the worker told him he'll be right there with me and I quickly told him i am here for a pick up. He said i should of said that in the first place (i am rolling my eyes and screaming in my head at this point).
