He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the leak and while he was at it, found that the freezer drawer was not closing correctly so he fixed that as well. Two weeks later, my drier is making a funny noise so I guess I'll be calling them again.

I am a homeowner who bought a apart Mr. Arie Rom, owner of 911 Service Today represented as "Main Control Board WHIRLPOOL W10398151 CNTRL-ELEC." The unit was described as follows: "New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging..." The price for this unit was $182.30, which they kept. But when it arrived the part was not in the original packaging as Rom's company had stated it would be. Itt certainly was not new. Most importantly, the part was not the one that we requested. The actual part sent to us on the sticker shows W10-25 4619 688 03721 which was different that the label on the box (which was obviously repackaged) shown as "Factory Certified Parts" for a curious reason. Whirlpool couldn't even identify what the part was when I shared with them the number and the picture of the part. When I asked Mr. Rom for a refund due to this "mistake," Mr. Rom said it was unreturnable. From my guess, "911 Service Today" "services" old appliances, then take the control boards and resell them on Ebay -- or at least that is what I think they did in my case. I was one of the customers who bought their Ebay item, a control board advertised as an original and new Whirlpool product, with a Mr. Rom thought there would be no consequences. Thanks to Yelp there is.

Yesterday morning, I woke to an very heated home on a 90+ degree day. I called around, read reviews, and came across Preferred. From customer service to dispatch to service technician....EVERYONE was above exemplary in their approach to my concerns. Josh, was the service technician that served the moment. He took care to inform of foreseeable concerns, but admitted that even through his diagnostics couldn't narrow what triggered my issue. What could've been a very expensive call was minimally fiscally conservative in its service charge. The system was running again very shortly. And this morning, I rose to the comfort I have grown accustomed. PREFERRED is now my preferred HVAC/plumbing go to and I elected their PPP maintenance option. I'm looking onward to our working together,as I feel that they will remain honest, caring, and proactive in their service and commitment. Thank you

Lowcountry Local First's efforts have helped shift the balance of national franchises with locally-owned businesses. Their work is why the streets of Charleston look like Charleston and not a generic American city. I know that my membership and donations go towards supporting a movement to help keep Charleston Charleston. This organization provides a broad group of services to support Charleston's economy. There's the "Buy Local" movement, with awareness campaigns, research studies, marketing, etc. They also do a LOT of work to help us eat locally-grown food by creating an incubator farm (called DirtWorks) , a farm apprentice program, farm tours, "eat local" month, and more. They put on the Chef's Potluck, which is a fantastic event at Middleton Place each year that pairs top local chefs with farmers to create table after table of small plates with all local ingredients. The new LocalWorks office provides budding entrepreneurs or at-home workers a place to co-work in a beautiful environment with lots of shared office services and help promoting those businesses. Plus, the monthly member mixers are fantastic networking opportunities for my small business! What would Charleston be without LLF?
