    Grand taco

This has got to be the worst taco joint I have ever had in my life. If you want bland tasteless tacos, odd ingredients mismatched and poor slow service. Well then you will like it here. Everything we ordered was tasteless and unflavourfull. The rice and beans were mushy. There were no herbs or vegtables except for spinach??? Spinach doesn't even belong on a burrito. Salsa was miniscule that I could not taste it in half of my burrito. The meat was awful like the just put unseasoned meat on a grocery store bought tortilla. This was the most terrible attempt for tacos or burritos i have ever received in a takeout place or restaurant. To top it off it was almost $28! Major rip off. Service was extremely slow and when requested to cut my burrito in half they agreed then completly ignored the request. It also took at least 40 min for this lazy attempt at Mexican food. Avoid at all costs. Its probably the worst thing I have eaten in an entire year, if not decade! Yes its that bad.

Fresh ingredients, and great service make this little taco bar in Waterton a wonderful addition to the town.

This place charges top tier prices for bottom tier food. Shockingly small portions, stunningly uninspired food. Best to avoid.

Cheapest and fastest place to eat in waterton. The tacos were mediocre and the hot sauce was a true pico sauce.

Based on my experience, I'll be passing on that recommendation to other people going forward as well. Located about halfway between Pincher Creek and the Waterton park gates, The Twin Butte Country General store is an unassuming roadside attraction. From the outside, it would be easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for, but on the inside is one of the best tex-mex restaurants I've been to in Alberta. Service is friendly and fast. Our appetizers arrived very quickly after ordering and main courses soon after we were done with the first course. At a glance, the menu doesn't have many vegetarian options but most things can be made veggie on request if you like cheese, rice, and beans. I ordered a single enchilada with rice and beans on the side and it arrived smothered in delicious salsa and cheese. My husband also really enjoyed the fish tacos. It can get busy so reservations are recommended. We didn't have one and were lucky to snag the last table, but I won't be chancing it next time. I'd hate to miss out!

The enchilada tricolor plate is ginormous and DEFINITELY can be shared. The pork enchilada with verde sauce was my favorite but I also enjoyed the shredded chicken with mole well. The cheesy enchilada was simply way too cheesy, could've passed. I will say the Spanish rice is probably the best rice I've ever had. Refried beans were lovely. My partner got the steak fajitas quesadilla and it was soooo good also. Large portion of guacamole came with it. Huckleberry margarita was quite sweet, but my Tajin rim definitely helped balance that out. Ambience was lovely! -1 star for service, unfortunately. It took quite some time for our server to greet us, never brought water, and wasn't attentive.

Pollo crema was smooth, well prepared and lip smacking good. The Expresso burrito was delicious, red sauce on top was okay. I really liked the Horchata- refreshing flavour, tried it for the first time. Mexican coffee was nice. Portion size are massive. Dedicated parking spots for restaurants, it's a huge parking lot. Best Mexican food I have had by far! If you are in or near Glacier National park do not miss on Vaqueros at Columbia Falls.

We had a tall sweet woman as our server who seemed was part of the family that owned the restaurant. You can tell they took pride in the restaurant, they cared, and it showed in the food and service. I was instantly drawn to the chili puerco which was a sort of special. Couldn't recommend enough. I was either ravenous from the hike but either way was one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had and I eat a lot of authentic Mexican. I couldn't stop ranting and raving about how much I loved the meal and our sever took it with a smile and wished us a good rest of our trip as well as said to come back if we're ever back in town. I hope to come back as my family grows and bring them here. I hope my review will help in someway to spread the word about how great it was.

This place is a food truck right outside of the park that has some outdoor shaded seating. I ordered the fajita burrito with carne asada ($13.50) and like others have mentioned the burrito was huge! I liked the fajita peppers in the burrito along with the good carne asada meat. I don't know if it was because I was starving but I ate and finished the burrito faster than I ever have in my life. It's not going to be the best Mexican food ever but for a touristy spot and for its proximity to the park it's a good option if you want to get away from the typical burgers and American fare. We are from Texas, we have some really good Mexican restaurants, so hard to beat what we have locally, but this was good. Prices are a little high, but it's a tourist spot. The burritos were about $15, quesadillas about $15 and tacos $5 each. I think the quesadillas are a little high priced, especially since my kids wanted cheese and meat only. Maybe they should offer a kid version of tacos and quesadillas. The main reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4- two out of the five of us got incorrect orders. My kiddo asked for tacos with just meat, cheese, onions and lettuce- they came with tomatoes and cilantro. Cilantro especially is something that people either like or they hate. He asked for them to change it, and they gladly remade. But then I started eating my burrito - I had ordered with no olives because I absolutely hate olives- and it was full of olives. At that point, I did not want to go ask for another remake. It's just uncomfortable. I imagine they would have made it again, but I don't feel like that burden should be on the customer. A restaurant can always state that there are no changes or substitutions, but the person taking our order asked us if we were good with all the veggies that came on the burrito. So it seems they are used to people asking for them to remove things. That was disappointing that I had to pick through my food. So I hope the try harder on there details- otherwise would have give 4 or more stars.
