    5150 Nachos
    Cindy J.

I ordered the Black Widow quesadilla and if was very flavorful! The green sauce has a slight kick and was great with the carne asada. There was plenty of meat in it and it was not greasy like other places have been. My husband ordered the 5150 Nachos and they were a decent size with plenty of meat and they have a little heat to them. Food tasted fresh and service was quick. The truck looked clean and the staff were friendly. We will definitely return.

Came here on a Thursday night. Yelp says they close at 9 but the worker told me they close closer to 10. This is a food truck. I got the AK 47 fries for $19. Three of us shared it. The chipotle salsa they put on it is spiiiiicy but soooo good. We all liked the fries. The fries were perfect. Slight crunch but soft I. The middle. Not too thick of a cut. Plenty of asada. In face. This is the first time where I didn't run out of meat first! Delicious! I went back for more sauce. Service was good.

    A lemon wedge

Burrito wrapped so small, every bite was half tortilla. And what would I use a lemon wedge for.

Recently I was able to try the Taco Cartel truck at the LA Tequila Festival. The line was very long, which usually is a good sign for a food truck. I ordered 1 chicken taco, 1 pastor taco and 1 asada taco so I could taste different things. By FAR, the best taco was the chicken taco. The chicken taco gets 5 stars! However, the asada and the pastor tacos left me a little disappointed. It seems like the asada taco was made with ground beef, which was not what I expected from a taco truck. If it wasn't ground beef, then the meat itself was chopped into really small pieces and I didn't get much of that juicy steak texture I was hoping for. The pastor taco lacked the pineapple flavor that you typically find in pastor street tacos. Usually pastor has a little bit of that grease drip happening, but this taco was pretty dry. I did really enjoy the presentation of their tacos! The crisp and fresh purple cabbage with the purple orchid flower was a really nice touch! Their salsa was also really nice and I like that they served their tacos with a slice of lime. For 3 tacos, it was $13. I would pay maybe $13 for a taco place with rice and beans, so maybe it was a little on the expensive side for what it was. I would maybe give Taco Cartel another try one day, but I don't think I'd drive across town for their tacos.

Had the pleasure to try The Taco Cartel in Cerritos! The truck was stationed at our block and husband and I have been craving for some tacos! When we were first aiming for only tacos.. we couldn't pass on their 5150 Nachos! Soooo glad we tried it! 5150 Nacho was fully loaded and every bite served its purpose! Pastor and Asada taco was juicy and delicious. Let me add that these are generous portions (serving from a taco truck!) Sooo good!

A great taco spot! They come to a local brewery and it's always our favorite! Pablo Escobar burrito is the best!

Best tacos I've ever had. Tender meat and juicy. The Verde salsa was delicious. Can't wait for them to come back to our company. Definitely worth a trip to LA county.

I am currently still eating my bowl and simply couldn't wait to share how delicious it is. We have a new taco truck outside our place every week and this is probably by far one of my favorites yet. The menu isn't super huge but you can tell that quality makes up for quantity - what they do, they do very well. I ordered the "Pablo Escobar" in bowl form and didn't have to wait long at all to receive it. While the bowl appears small at first, I can tell it is a good amount of food that won't leave me hungry (except for the fact that I want more of this delicious flavorful food). The bowl presentation is rather lovely, see photos. The carne asada is SOO juicy! It's ground and goes well with the beans, rice, cilantro and guacamole. I am using the salsa verde (nice cool temperature and not too spicy) I ordered on the side as dipping sauce for the radish slices. The flavors all complement each other so well. It also doesn't feel heavy so I don't feel guilty eating it on a night when I'm not working out. I think I will actually follow this truck around town when I want delicious Mexican food. Owners, if you read this - please keep doing what you're doing - you do it well!

    Los narco tacos. Yum!
    Yolanda S.

Ate at street food cinema in DTLA, and I really liked it! We opted for Los narco tacos (3 tacos, your choice of meats: we got asada, al pastor, and carnitas), it came with onions, cilantro, red cabbage and your choice of salsa (we got verde) Our favorite was al pastor! I really liked the spice they used, it had a nice twist to it. I literally enjoyed every single bite of it. So delish. Overall, good tacos with great flavors. Def worth trying!

Recommend the Pablo Escobar burrito, delicious, good size, and well priced. Burrito was a little messy on the wrap but held together.

Also, chicken could have been crispier outside but that's just me I prefer crispier popcorn chicken. Otherwise it was solid and right amount of seasoning and honey milk tea was yum. Didn't taste powdered down or anything. I ordered 50% and the honey taste is memorable . There's other food trucks available so as far as vibes... busy all around! I was driving around looking for food at 9:30 PM and what looked like a Chinese-street-food food…read morecart caught my eye. I pulled into the Good Fortune Supermarket (formerly Hong Kong Supermarket) parking lot to check it out. Everything looked new and clean, but business seemed slow because no one was around. Two Asian men sitting around liao tianr-ing (chatting) sprang up as I approached. My Chinese not being the best combined with their somewhat heavy mainland accents meant I didn't know how or what to order. They said they had one last serving of what sounded like "lamb" to me left. I took a glance and saw grilled/fried stuff on the menu, so I said sure why not. I asked how long they've been open, what their hours are, and if they're usually at this location. They said this is the first week they've been open, their hours are around 5 PM to 9 PM, and yes they are usually in front of the supermarket. I asked if I could take pictures and if they had a Yelp page, and they said sure and not yet. Around this time, while I was chatting with one guy and the other guy was preparing my order, a few other groups of people saw the commotion and started inching closer, curious. You know me, always blazing trails. Anyway, it wasn't until I paid and got change that I realized what I ordered. Apparently I ordered the Brothers Features Liangpi. I've never heard of a liangpi, so I was excited to bring it home to try it out. It turns out liangpi is like a flat rice noodle (or mungbean sheet?) cut up with cold cucumbers, tofu, cilantro, and a bit of Sichuan pepper (mala). They gave me a sesame sauce on the side. It was pretty good. In summary: Food was good though I ordered only one thing. I'll be back sometime in the next few days to try out more of their menu. Service was good. I was the only one around for a bit, but they were definitely friendly. Food truck with an "A" rating from the health department. It's a positive, but part of me wants to count it as a negative. Asian street food, to me, just isn't the same without massive cockroaches skittering around piles of rotting vegetables all around me while mosquitoes eat me alive. Pricing seems fair. Definitely not cheap as my liangpi wasn't huge or anything, but it wasn't too expensive either. I hope Asian-street-food food trucks become more popular.

They have a self-serve area outside the truck where you can get as much salsa as you want. It's convenient, and it's nice that they're not stingy with condiments. They also offer daily specials.
