Brought the team here tonight for cinco de mayo and it was INCREDIBLE! The drinks were delicious (margs of course), chips and dips were amazing, tacos incredible (including a whole vegetarian menu!), and awesome desserts! Best servers, phenomenal atmosphere, the best!

I saw in the newspaper that it's the best taco place. We went there yesterday. To be honest, I don't think it's the best taco, just okay! The rice was bland, the bean was okay, the taco was good but not the best. The salsa wasn't great!! Chip and salsa for $9.00 and chip and guacamole for $12.00 were just okay, not the best, and not worth it!! Other restaurants provide free chip and salsa. The margarita was good but not the best. There are other restaurants better than Taco Stop. The total price was $118.00, which is crazy! I really thought it was the best, but nope! I saw a lot of people there, mostly Americans, and I can understand why.

Really welcoming staff and quick service! We tried three types of tacos, the chips and salsa, chilaquiles and rice and beans. The steak and al pastor tacos were very good, I would highly recommend these. The corn tortillas they use are a step above what you'd find at most other shops around. They reminded us of the ones we get when we go visit family in Rosarito. The salsa on the chilaquiles was tasty but was lacking heat/spice, we added some of the diabla salsa and it was just right. The frijoles were also very good but a little disappointed the serving size was so small. Also a little disappointing that the chips and salsa were an additional $9. Not a huge fan of the seasoning they put on the chips. Rice and beans are also an additional fee and the seasoning for the rice not our favorite. The carnita taco was just ok. Not much flavor and a little on the mushy side. Overall we really enjoyed it. The decor was very nice, the staff is very friendly and the tacos as the name says were super yummy and why you should STOP here!! We would come back and just order tacos and skip the rest!

Omg this place is the real deal!! I haven't stopped thinking about it and I can't wait to go back. I have tried so many Mexican places around NOCO and they're all so mid. Not this place! They deliver on the food obviously but also the service. Our server was on point and explained everything on the menu and even offered suggestions. The meats were juicy and flavorful, not dry. And the rice was sooo good too. I can't wait to come back here and try literally everything on the menu. The birria was amazing!!

Taco Stop was super quiet the night I went in around 7p, with one other table taken up. This isn't usually a good sign, but it was snowing and cold outside. I thought Coloradans wouldn't let something like that slow them down, but giving Taco Stop the benefit of the doubt there. The chilaquiles I ordered arrived quickly, and were delicious. I got them with steak, and at the recommendation of the bartender I got half ranchera and half verde sauce. I would definitely eat here again next time I'm in the area!

I've been eyeing this place for a while since they opened. Finally stopped in today and I was so happy! I got or of each kind of taco and they were all tasty.their chips (and whatever they top them with) were amazing! Plus they have Jarritos Grapefruit soda, which is one of my favorites. What a lovely little local place! You should come give it a try!! read more

My favorite taco place in Fort Collins! I always order delivery so I've never been into the restaurant but my goodness these tacos are good. I went through a phase where I ordered these at least once a week. Their tacos are my favorite but they also have good chili cheese fries, amazing quesadillas (highly recommend trying the spinach on that one) and delicious chips and salsas. read more

I'm from California so my standard when it comes to Mexican food is pretty high. I have tried 3-4 Mexican restaurants in town and they all let me down, high prices and lack luster food made me not want to return. Luckily I found The Taco Stop, it's out of the way from downtown south college where I live so many college students might not find this spot. I got 6 tacos - 2 chicken 2 pastor and 2 steak, and 1 fajita chicken burrito. The best item I got was the fajita burrito by far - 5 stars all day, the tortilla was amazing, the grilled chicken was spot on and the fajita mix was perfectly cooked, not to crunchy or mushy. The shredded chicken tacos were also good, well flavored, good crunchy lettuce. The pastor tacos were okay, not great but not horrible, compared to some al pastor i've had in California the flavors were a little bland, maybe it was an off day for them. The steak tacos were also great, the onion, cilantro and steak makes for a perfect street taco. The burrito came with a nice bean dip which was very flavorful and good to dip the chips in. The habanero salsa was flavorful, but not spicy enough for my liking, I like to sweat when im eating habaneros, but i've noticed every salsa in Colorado has been less heat then i wanted. The red rojo salsa was the best by far, it was very flavorful and not to spicy. The verde salsa was peppery and not as flavorful as the other 2 salsa, I usually enjoy a good salsa verde with my steak tacos but this one was not hittin. The staff was amazing, they were so friendly and welcoming even during covid, everyone was wearing a mask and it looked clean insdie and taking the proper precautions. As far as restaurants go and especially Mexican restaurants I would highly recommend coming and trying The Taco Stop. Its the best Mexican food and a top 3 overall restaurant in the Fort Collins area. read more

I am so happy The Taco Stop has a storefront now! These are the best street tacos I've had in Colorado. They don't try to dress up their tacos with a bunch of stuff to fain the presence of quality or flavor, they keep it simple and focus on making the 3-4 ingredients of a street taco the best they can be; the meats are tender and flavorful, the tortillas are the perfect consistency, a respectful variety of salsas to satisfy every spice level that are each bursting with fresh flavor, and crisp, fresh cilantro/onion topping with a lime wedge per taco - everything you could want in a street taco. In addition to their tacos, they have a handful of other menu items that should be considered when you can pull yourself away from the tacos. The pastor gringas and quesadillas are my favorites; you won't regret trying either. They take so much care with to-go orders, giving you little cups of sour cream, avo crema, and salsas with each taco or quesadilla; it's such a nice touch and really shows the care put into everything. The desserts are so good, we have tried the churros and fried ice cream and they are each superb. I don't know what they do to their ice cream but it is so freakin good. The service had been great every time we've gone, whether dining in or out. Staff is always really friendly and upbeat, and happy to answer questions. My only regret is not living closer! read more

How did I not know about this place? I've been here over 4 years. Their pot belly tacos (taco of the month) are phenomenal and addictive. I had them yesterday and again today. Truthfully, probably several more times before the months end. The owner is amazing and, quite frankly, a taco artist. I took the pickiest eater I know (my daughter) and she and I both agree, best tacos I've had in forever. read more

My wife and I eat at the Taco Stop when we go to the shops south of ft Collins. The food is authentic and awesome! The servers are so helpful. They have a very large dining area. A large bar space off to the side and a patio in the back. I also highly recommend their salsa! The habanero being my favorite! read more

I could not be more impressed with this place. I won't lie, I had been talking about going here for over a year but just never had the courage. I just love this place! There are not better tacos or business owners in Northern Colorado! I'm there at least twice, sometimes three times a week. I'm a fan of EVERY menu item and rarely order the same thing in sequence. I've never been so compelled to leave a review before. I'm very impressed with this business from the quality of food to the quality of service! They are a cut above the rest. I was told there was no good Mexican food in FoCo... they were wrong!! Spectacular food and service. Looking forward to becoming a regular when I make the move from SoCal to CO :-) I had the fajita tacos (to die for) and my bf got the Taco Tuesday special (4 for the price of 3). This is definitely the best Mexican food in Fort Collins by far. Everything I've had had been delicious. Their enchiladas, quesadillas, and tacos are all amazing. The sauce they provide is delicious as well. They also have more vegetarian options than a lot of other Mexican restaurants I've been too. So I hosted some friends for dinner tonight and in my continued support of local business and having enjoyed many meals and great service at Taco Stop I ordered take out. Well when getting home after a couple of bites my guest realized it was not what they ordered, the entire order was wrong. I called back and the staff was extremely nice and apologetic that I had to return. She offered me a dessert for my trouble and I gladly excepted. When I arrived to pick up the correct order the "owner" comes running out asking where his "other" food was! I explained that it was a mess had been bitten into and tossed. Well he went off that I was taking advantage of him and since I didn't bring back his food and "stole"from him....No dessert for me! Are you kidding. I was so put off by his treatment of anyone like that let alone a long time paying supporter. Wow. I went home lost my appetite scooped his slop out of the trash and made a 3rd trip to bring it back to him. So unfortunate..Great staff good food...But wow stay in the kitchen boss! read more

My companions couldn't finish their beans and rice, and if I didn't think I was going to explode I would have cleaned their plates, too. I'm glad I don't live in FoCo or else I would go broke eating here. I cannot recommend it enough, especially those avocado tacos. I will be dreaming of them for years. I have to say that I was glad to have asked for mild/medium spice - it was right at the edge but not over my tolerance level. If there was a reason not to share combos it would be because we'd fight over the momos - it was a good thing we had 2 orders. Both dals were tasty, but I think I will stick with dal makhani in the future. I wish I could remember which curry I had because it was unlike anything I've tried before and delicious. I had a taste of the vindaloo, too - I enjoyed the bite I had, but with the spice level I couldn't have eaten a whole serving. The gulab jamun was the best I've ever had - completely soaked through with the syrup giving it the most delightful texture. My lunch buddy likened it to homemade. We started off with chips and salsa and they give 2 kinds. Both were very good and we ate it all. Husband got the special, beef taquitos and they were so good and crispy with lots of flavor and the pickled onions were a perfect addition. I had the Tacos Al Carbon.
