The food was immaculate and well seasoned. The new Orleans seafood boil was awesome and had good amounts of seasoning, the crabby cheese bread y'all now that was good. As for my crab roll that wasn't the greatest and their gumbo was unfortunately really disappointing I'm hoping to see better from them in the future as I do intend to go here again. read more

Good I ordered the crab leg thingy and it was pretty sparse for meat and darned expensive for what was there. Also order sweet potato fries and hush puppies and when I got home I opened the to go card board boxes and the boxes each had a cut up piece of old newspaper at the bottom of the boxes to catch grease. Now I know you will have grease in the food but an unsanitary cut up piece of news paper is n the bottom. I guess they cannot afford a one or two cent sanitary restaurant grease catcher. I always go here after concerts with my family and it does not disappoint! They always get our food ready fast even though we get appetizers and a big boil. We usually get the tangy feast with extra crab and potatoes and it is great. Even when we are coming in late, they still prioritize serving us amazingly. I totally recommend medium for the spice level because it is just perfect. The servers are always nice and we get good service with how well they put out food and make it quick. They are always kind. The ambiance is very cute with lots of decor of fish, pirates and marine life. Their seating options are very inclusive with how many options and you can move the tables if needed. Overall the restaurant is really one of our favorites and it's a great time always! read more

This is at the old Outback location and I went while I was visiting family in Kalamazoo. The location is easy to get to. The inside has a very Joe's Crabshack vibe to it. The inside was clean and the staff was friendly. It has mostly boils which are served in a bag. They have some options and you can also make your own. They include corn and potatoes, you can also add extras. They have some options of seasonings. We got the Cajun one but it had no heat to it. It did have nice flavor but I wouldn't call it Cajun. The shrimp and crab were good. We did order mussels but it never came and luckily, we were not charged for it. We also tried the crab garlic bread which was also good. Overall, I'd say it's 3.5 stars. Side note: the to go boxes are terrible for the items. It was a styrofoam box and I immediately knew it was going to be a problem. The hubby and I went to lunch, and he really wanted seafood. Upon our arrival, the restaurant appeared pretty empty. It was 2 pm. and two other couples in this large restaurant. From what I could see, the restaurant was very clean. We were seated, but it was almost 7 minutes before we were greeted or offered anything to drink. The service from staff was VERY slow, the food presented very well but it was luke warm as though it was just warmed up quickly and out in a bag with sauce over it. The potatoes ans sausage were not authentic to what a crab boil ahould be either. We have had many seafood boils, but I would have to say this was the least pleasing one I've ever had. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't good. I did, however, enjoy the lemon pepper wings A LOT. When we were ready to leave, we waited for 10 minutes to see a server, and eventually, my husband had to call out to someone so we could pay the bill and leave. Between the service and the mediocre food, I will not return to this location unless it's for the lemon peppee wings. read more

What a cute place!! Very nautical. We stopped here to celebrate a birthday. We each ordered a bag of dinner. Meals are served in heavy duty plastic bags with a buttery spiced sauce in the bottom of the bag. We each had a seafood combo-shrimps , lobster and crab. The meal is served with a couple of small red potatoes and a half ear of corn- both are mere vehicles for the aforementioned buttery sauce. We visited on a Monday. They did not have a lot of staff but I have learned to except that in these days. We got the raw oysters and hush puppies for an appetizer, both were excellent. My companion got the shrimp basket and lobster bisque, also very good. I am a fried chicken fanatic and had chicken on my mind, I got the breaded Cajun wings. This branch of the successful cajun food-and-bar franchise opened near my home recently so I stopped in for a shrimp po' boy with sweet potato fries. Reasonably priced, prepared fast, still warm when I got home. The fries are waffle-cut style and delicious. The po' boy? Well, I come from the deep South where authentic po' boys are known. This one had a bun that had been neither grilled nor warmed--just sliced open. 2 bites in, the seam broke and no more sandwich. Picking up the parts from my plate was fine. The lettuce, tomato, and thin glaze of something akin to 1000 island dressing was ok. The fried shrimp, however, had some kind of tangy honey-based glaze, in addition to the 1000 island stuff in the lettuce. Not certain if this is how they make their po' boys all the time, but I'd advise telling them to leave off the honey-based glaze next time. They got it about 75% right. Will return and see if they do better next time. read more

I tried the Signature Boil with a mixture of all the butter sauces and it was definitely good, but they did forget the eggs I requested. What made up for that was the customer service, she offered to shake my bag up and stayed on top of making sure I had everything I needed. I also tried the Cajun wings with the Crabmeat fries and the wings were huge. I just wish they were tossed in a sauce, but the seasoning was good. The Crabmeat fries were different. The fries were good and fresh, but It was something about the sauce within the crabmeat. Probably won't get those again. read more

From the outside its not apparent, but the inside has very awesome decor and very flavorful food. The prices can look high but it's justified by portion size. I tried juicy special which contains snow crab legs, shrimp and lobster tail in a tangy special sauce and comes with 2 potatoes, 2 eggs and 2 corn. I would recommend spicy instead of mild since the spicy is not very spicy and it improves the flavor of the shell on seafood. I would recommend adding a side of brocolli and noodles so you have a balanced meal. The special should be good for 2 people and had left overs for the next day. One Tip; If you impatient in nature or in a hurry do not go for the crab legs or lobster tail because it will take time and effort to break the shells with the forceps. Instead go for shrimp scallop, sausage which is much easier to work with. The service could have been slightly better. We were given a wrapper but not told that it contains a plastic apron which we could have worn to prevent the sauce from dripping on our clothes. So please watch out for the small wrapper even if they do not tell you. read more

I have always wanted to give this place a try especially the items that's offered in their menu. So I went and tried it today and honestly had the most terrible service. When the host ask a server if she was taking my table she stated I haven't had a table in a while and been mopping. So the host sat us down and waited 5 minutes for someone to serve us. During that five minutes I can hear the manager talk to a couple servers on who was taking the table. It seems to be an issue to be able serve a table in general which was confusing since they didn't close till 10pm and after 8:30pm. When the server arrived he was very rude and was trying to rush us to order. When I asked Iglesias I think that was his name proceed to ask what drinks we would like. So I had a ask for a water and pop and the server only gave me a pop with no straws. So when I asked him again he didn't say anything? Which didn't make sense of what you would treat your customers then way. But then he proceed to ask what we would like to order and will bring straws after. Then when it was my turn he was okay next like we're in a busy line at race track. So then he had left and then seen him walking around doing nonchalant things and didn't bring us straws. Therefore, because of the terrible service before seating down and getting terrible when being helped to order food we decided to never come here because how they treat their customers. Horrible treatment to Black customers. My daughter and I went out to eat for Valentines Day and I was so appalled by how they treated every person of color that walked in. They were not greeted or spoken to but people who were not Black got smiles and friendly banter. The shaves of Parmesan were substantial, though. The calamari was cut so it looked like cuttle fish: huge pieces, greasy, and chewy. The food was fine. Unremarkable, but fine. I'm doing a review because of the billing. I ordered a PICK UP order. They added a 15% tip (mandatory) for a PICK UP order. I, for sure, tip for pickup orders. But, a mandatory charge for a guy to place my order in a bag? NOT the same as a server who makes less than minimum wage and gets your refills, brings your plates, clears your mess. All he did was put the food in the bag.
