We set our sights on this spot for our first brunch in Miami. They sat us outside, and the atmosphere was really pleasant. The menu has some great brunch options, including platters with various small bites (served with fresh fruit), which I loved since it lets you try a little bit of everything. The portions are generous and filling, the food is fresh, and the presentation is standard. We ordered the Chocolate Banana Waffles, Grilled Salmon Benedict, and the Catalina Breakfast. However, the service was the downside: our drinks came out right away, but we waited 45 minutes for our food--even though it wasn't even busy. No one checked in on us or gave us an update on our order, and we were starving! We also had a long wait just to get the check. Overall, the food was good, and they have plenty of vegetarian options which is a huge plus... But the wait times were just too much.

After flying in, we checked into our hotel around 9:00 PM and headed out shortly after to grab some food. Walking down Collins Ave, most restaurants were either closed or about to close, so we were really glad to come across The Tavern. The welcoming staff greeted us right away and seated us quickly. Our server was attentive, professional, and efficient, which made a great first impression -- especially after a long travel day. The dishes we ordered looked clickable and inviting. We tried the Island Mahi Sandwich, Caesar Supreme Wrap, and Chicken Tacos. The Caesar Supreme Wrap was flavorful and overwhelming (in the best way -- we loved it), while the chicken tacos were slightly underwhelming for us. Everything arrived promptly and was nicely presented. We also appreciated that the menu listed a good number of vegetarian options, which is rare in many places. While we didn't order any vegetarian dishes ourselves, it's nice to know that vegetarian diners can try this place without hesitation. A highlight of the night was the complimentary lemon drop shots offered to the adults in our group -- a generous and much-appreciated gesture. Overall, it was a good experience and a solid option if you're looking for a late-night meal in the area. We'd recommend it to others, especially for the friendly service, inclusive menu, and convenient location.

Flight was delayed into Miami and this spot was close and open. Server was distracted but courteous. Beer was warm but drinkable. I didn't love all fake fauna all around, twinkle lights were nice. Cuban was ok, best part was the pork, smoky and not dry. Mahi mahi sandwich was adequate. Fries were really good.

During a recent work trip, we actually wound up coming here a couple times for breakfast and lunch! They have ample outside and inside seating and the staff is pretty quick and attentive. The portions are pretty large and everything I got (and our clients) was enjoyable! The pricing is good for it being right near the beach, too. I recommend checking it out!

We had a wonderful lunch here with Eddy as our bartender and server! He was attentive, kind, and very polite. We really annoyed him and the food was delicious! We ordered the piña colada, strawberry daiquiri, calamari, and empanadas--YUM!! (This is our second day here!).

This place was great! Vee was our server and she was fantastic. Strongly recommend the espresso martini. We had the truffle fries appetizer A+. The salmon entree was amazing and so was the the charasso steak. This is a can't miss! Ambience + Service + great food = The Tavern

We went here for dinner and sat outside. It was a really amazing vibe and cool atmosphere. I ordered the Grilled Churrasco which was amazing and perfectly cooked. I got it with veggies and fries. Our waitress, Stefany, was so sweet and pleasant and she even came up to us (after a different waitress brought our food to us) and said "they didn't give you enough fries, I'll bring you more fries" and she brought us another bowl of them. The fries were really delish too. My partner got the Prime Short Rib over mashed potatoes with veggies and it was huge and really tasty! Our experience was so good we came back for breakfast the next day and sat by the bar. Eddy was our bartender and he too was amazing! He was attentive and very nice. We ordered the salmon eggs Benedict which comes with 3 bennys and it was really tasty as well. My partner got the Fiesta Breakfast Tacos which were really good too. Overall food, drinks, and service were great! Highly recommend this place!

The Tavern Restaurant and Bar is located in Miami Beach's Mid Beach area close to hotels and the walking distance from the beach. Its airy and cozy casual outdoor dining area gives this restaurant a relaxing atmosphere. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a full bar for those who likes to drink. Food and service is always good. Check it out!

We stopped by The Tavern since it was busy but conveniently just a short walk from our room. The atmosphere felt lively, though it did get pretty crowded. I ordered the avocado burger. The bun-to-patty ratio was great and the avocado was fresh, but the patty itself could have used more seasoning, and it was a bit wetter than I'd like with the salad mix. The chicken wings were solid, nothing spectacular but cooked through and with a nice crisp on the skin. The fries, however, came out on the dry side and really needed a side of ranch or ketchup to help swallow. Our waiter Hassan was friendly and tried to connect, but at times it felt a little awkward. Never came to refill our drinks or anything ,but did peak in on us to see if we were done. Overall it's a decent spot if you need something close by and don't mind a casual, somewhat noisy vibe. Wouldn't go back for the convenience and friendly service, if you do go ask for extra seasoning on that burger and maybe an extra side of sauce for the fries.

Lovely breakfast on the way back from Basel. Excellent food. Eggs Benedict were so delicate but also substantial. Portions are very generous. We had the Tavern breakfast also good. Eggs are so yummy and fluffy. Pancakes are so good with a nice light vanilla flavor. Service is very good. Ambiance is laid back, chill Sunday morning vibes. Prices are very reasonable.

Excellent food and outstanding service. The cooks delivered on every single meal we tried. The caramel latte was one of the best I've ever had rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The quality of both the coffee and the food really stood out. We tried the Hangover Burger, Chicken Alfredo, Benedict's empanadas, and the scramble, and every dish was flavorful and well prepared. Definitely a place that delivers consistency and quality across the board. **** Second visit and just as impressed as the first. After how great breakfast was on our first visit, we decided to come back for dinner -- and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The portions are HUGE, easily enough to share between two or even three people (think Cheesecake Factory-sized). We tried the chicken piccata, steak entrée, mussels with pasta, short rib burger, calamari, and a chopped salad. Everything was delicious and well prepared. We also had the Key lime pie for dessert, which is made in-house and was the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Great food, generous portions, and consistent quality.

Large menu with a ton of options. Claire behind the bar was extremely helpful and friendly. The ambiance is confused. They play a retro rock selection and sports on big screens. The space has a lot of odd decor, that some (I) would deem unnecessary including lampshade lamps and bottles of wine with glasses on the bar. And the vignettes on the far left wall have an English manor vibe but there are chalkboard pinups on the back wall.

The food absolutely stands out -- everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The menu has a great variety, and you can tell they really care about quality and presentation. Overall, Bar Luca delivers great food, great drinks, and great energy. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and recommend if you're looking for a cool place to eat out in Miami.

Stumbled into Bar Luca on Miami Beach during happy hour and walked out genuinely impressed,…read moreespecially given how rare it is to find specials this good in this part of town. Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. For food we shared the Bolognese Grilled Cheese and let me tell you, this thing punches well above its $12 price tag. Thick cut brioche toast, griddled until the edges go deep golden brown, stacked over a rich slow simmered bolognese with cheese pulling through every bite. Dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, plated with cherry tomato skewers that added a nice little pop of acidity. Comfort food dressed up for a night out. Service was attentive and easy, drinks came quick, plates came hot, and nobody made us feel rushed even sitting through happy hour. The room itself has that playful Sicilian energy with the Moor head planters and bright touches throughout, which fits the vibe of the menu perfectly. Would I make a special trip back to Miami Beach for it? Probably not from Fort Myers, but if you're already in the area during happy hour, this is one of the better values you'll find on the beach. Solid four stars. Good drinks, good food, great specials, and service that actually showed up.

It gives me cucumber water at the spa vibes but in a cocktail form. -Always Summer Negroni: I absolutely loved this drink! My favorite one of the night. So cool because it's a clear drink.
