Dena delivered to Roseville and the the variety of tea sandwiches was amazing. They were a huge hit with kids and parents alike. I recently treated my mom to high tea at The Tea Nook and we had a lovely time! Impressive tea selection to choose from, perfect quiche and salad to start, delicious tea sandwiches, scones and desserts. Dena is hands-down, the best hostess for tea houses in our area. A few of us have followed her over the years because of the delicious food that she prepares and for her personable customer service. The last time we were there, I requested a place setting for a dear friend, who is no longer with us. When we got there, Dena had a beautiful place setting, especially for her. The love and care that she puts into this business and into her guest's is unparalleled. What a beautiful tearoom. We secured a reservation for two for afternoon high tea on my mom's birthday. We were each treated to our own pot of tea from the menu, and soon after a tiered tray of delicious warm scones, savory sandwiches, quiche, and an upper tier of fruit and desserts. It was more food than we could finish, and the sweet hostess brought to-go containers for our remaining tea and delights and a bag of loose-leaf tea for my mother to enjoy when she got home. Took my child of Easter weekend to have high tea experience, and we were extremely happy with whole thing! The tea Selection was good size . I asked for earl grey, and my child had the raspberry tea both tasted great. We were served veg quiche, with berry salad to die for ! We really loved that 1st corse . We had such a lovely time here this past Sunday. I'm from the Bay Area where there are some really nice tea houses but this was just as nice! The place is very small (4 tables and I think max seating is 12) but absolutely adorable. We started out with a quiche, small salad, and soup. Then followed by your standard three tiered tray of deliciousness. I forgot to take pictures I was having such a good time. I will definitely be a regular! My Mom has been taking me to tea since I was a little girl, so we were excited to learn of a new Tea Place in town. The Tea Nook did not disappoint! Dena and her team were so gracious and made the experience really enjoyable. We loved it so much that we booked another tea the following month. You start out by picking out your tea flavor. You then start off with a starter that included a slice of quiche, a little tiny cup of soup and a delicious salad (the dressing was amazing!). Next up you get your 3 tier "main course" which includes scones, lemon curd and fresh whipped cream on the bottom, a variety of tea sandwiches in the middle and an assortment of mini desserts on the top. Everything was top notch! My only wish is that they had Devonshire cream to go with the scones, but it was all still delicious. This was a such of lovely tea experience and I'm glad I went. The soup was rich and creamy and I loved the croissants. My sister and I split them up and shared both croissant flavors. Everything is homemade!!! Teas are served pure and are amazing! (Powers Mansion Medley is my favorite followed by the Raspberry). They also sell the tea too if you want to take it home with you! Dena also does gluten free and vegetarian if requested ahead of time. My gluten free friends couldn't believe how great everything was and had no reactions! Best High Tea Service in Sacramento!!! I am from a more diverse background and the ratings your establishment has duly noted it is a great place to not only eat but that the food is truly good. Unfortunately, what I experienced was truly lacking presentation and the items served tasted more store bought and not home cooked. Please do not take offense but look at it as a challenge to calmly review what you serve and take more time to make your delectables taste homemade. Your service was good and the ambiance was quaint but the food needs to be tweaked. Scones were half baked. Have you been to Estelle's, Ginger Elizabeth's, or Paris Baguette, Tour le Jour. Try these places and you will understand what I am talking about. It hurt me to pay what I did because I felt that the food was nothing to write home about. When you purchase from a local business you don't just support that business, you support someone's DREAM and you amplify the possibility of someone else believing THEY too can succeed in their local community. This post is a long-time coming, as I wish to shine a light on another "happy place" of mine that is outside of my home zip code. It's a little tea room located in downtown Lincoln, CA called The Tea Nook. I stumbled upon this little hidden gem while looking for a high tea time spot in the Sacramento area. To my delight and surprise, they are one of the few and ONLY tea rooms to provide a Keto High Tea - practically unheard of! The owner of this tea room, found a way to create a genuine three tiered high tea that is totally Keto friendly and looks absolutely amazing. The tea time comes with a lot of food, I usually can't finish it all. The high tea is served with a slice of quiche and salad that is in-addition to the three tiered plates, so when you go, please pace yourself. The menu consists of over twenty different teas - I usually blend two teas and am always pleased with my creations. The pastries (scones and cakes) are made with almond flour. The owner even discovered Keto bread to make tea sandwiches, so anyone doing low carb can enjoy the sandwiches with the crusts cut off - Thank you Dena! I've had the pleasure of enjoying the following tea sandwiches: chicken salad, ham and cheese and pimento with cream cheese filling, just to name a few. Tea-wise, I have some great blends that have been a real treat to create and enjoy on my numerous visits to this tea room.
