Matcha Oreo tornado and ube taro
    Nissa O.

The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, it is definitely a nice place to relax and chat with some friends. While the drinks were good, I'd prefer anything other than the matcha and definitely wouldn't recommend it for someone wanting to try matcha for their first time. For how nice the place looks, you'd think they would have quality matcha, but it tastes like watered down, low grade matcha. The first time, I was hoping it was just a slow day and the matcha sat for a bit and watered down. My second time trying the matcha again confirmed it just wasn't the quality I prefer. The Ube taro on the other hand was good. The mushy Milo was also good, just a bit plain. The mango jungle was very good, their fruit drinks are definitely better than the milk teas and worth a try. Service was quick and although it looked like there was only one person there the second time I came, the drinks came out fairly quick.

Pretty decent milk tea spot, though I will say the drink I got was on the milkier side, which I was not expecting. Not to say it was bad though.

Came here over the weekend and it wasn't too busy. I ordered the golden Phoenix milk tea and thought it was just okay. I believe it's a type oolong tea but i didn't get that oolong taste. I do like they have grass jelly as an option along with basil seeds because I feel that's not common among boba shops. My sister wanted a mango drink but they were out of mango so she opted for a watermelon one but they were out of that too which was a bummer since we came around 1pm. Was bummed out they didn't have my go-to options like Jasmine milk tea or plain Thai tea. When I asked what made the Thai green milk tea green, they said it was matcha, which I'm not really a fan on.

There was such a good variety of drinks i almost got overwhelmed. Everything looks so yummy but I just ate prior so I wanted something simple. I was going to get a matcha but I settled with the green thai tea. It was really good and you can definitely taste the tea esque flavor. I was scared it was going to be too milky but it was just right. The place is really spacious and cute. I think the vibes are so cute and def will be returning to hang with friends and grab a quick drink!

Amazing drinks! Their mini boba is so good, and I can save the drink for the next day, and the boba is still chewy and soft! I tried their matcha oreo tornado today w/ mini boba. It was so delicious, I nearly inhaled my drink. The presentation of their drinks are also notably beautiful. The cashier was kind, and the shop is super clean and not overcrowded.

Amazing, fast service! We came at 2:30pm so it wasn't busy at all. We got the smoothies because we were told they were caffeinate-free. We got them all at 25% sweetness and they were all SOO good. I don't usually drink boba because it can be too sugary for me but this was a nice treat & they are so pretty

Pretty cool spot. The setup is very minimal and the selection is super unique. Mushy Milo is such a good drink. Seems childish but just hits. I asked for my matcha Oreo tornado to be at 50% sweetness but to my own self displeasure it tasted very very earthy. I recommend keeping it at default sweetness! Need to try the avocado drink next time.

Delicious smoothies and boba so close to home!! Woohoo!! Plenty of parking out front shared with multiple businesses including our main grocery store, Raley's. Friendly customer service, very clean and well maintained, classy ambiance (with Jazz music played... what?! NICE!) with a brilliant internal design, limited seating inside but spacious, and best of all - delicious smoothies and boba! Biggest thing with boba spots is the boba itself. Some spots have boba too swollen that it gets stuck in the straw or not soft enough so you're annoyed by tough, undercooked boba. Not here! Moon Tea House's boba is fantastic and NO annoyances whatsoever! Perfectly rounded and soft boba to reach 100% satisfaction with each sip! Quite a surprise to see a bit of the flavor's "origin" in a couple of the drinks themselves! (Small sliced strawberry, little taro chunk, etc.) Lots of tasty flavors and we have our typical go to's, but we had to start somewhere and decided to mix it up with typically "safe" drinks and a couple of new stuff. Got regular ice and sugar levels for all drinks - 'twas perfect for all of us. Have kids? For $1 more, ask to split the drink into two cups so you can enjoy a bit of peace and tranquility. Worth every penny. Half moon strawberry was sweet as expected. Magical milk tea was "safe' as expected - black tea with a hint of sweetness. Ube taro was fantastic and enjoyed it very much! (Thank goodness!) Golden "new" find for us this round? Thai green milk tea takes the gold!! Thai iced tea with a green tea bang along some mixed in boba perfection? Heavenly deliciousness! Was brilliantly surprised by this drink! One of those "mixtures" that are so good separately that you're worried about the outcome. Don't be. Try it and you won't regret it! (Hopefully) Can't wait to try the other flavors - kuro dirty fresh milk (I think this is their classic brown sugar version), Thai tea tornado, avocado hulk, & lastly, but certainly not the least, the O.G. Vietnam Coffee. Oh can't wait to try the O.G. They also have a few foody items - takoyaki, we'll see you next time buddy. Fantastic boba gem at Blue Oaks!! Whether you're passing by or shopping at Raley's, definitely worth a try for some good'ol satisfying boba drinks and a classy setup. We've seen Raley's shoppers sipping on Moon Tea House drinks before... yea, no wonder. When in Rome, right? Highly recommended and now we're new loyal customers!

The people here are so nice! And my drink was absolutely delicious! Cute and minimal decor. There was a stupid and rude lady wearing a snakeskin skirt and heels she clearly couldn't walk in - who complained about having Milo chocolate powder sprinkles on her drink - the drink is literally made with the same powder mixed in - she cussed the manager for not remaking the drink without the powder. At that point it would have just been blended milk. All she had to do was stir her drink. The manager handled it so well and kept her cool. Will def be back for the great customer service, tasty drinks n possibly a show.

Very nice location. Inside were nice and modern. Some menu selections don't allow for sugar adjustment but the staff was super nice to guide me through which ones could and couldn't. I got their buckwheat drink and a friend got their most popular fruit tea. Buckwheat was good with the sugar adjusted. The fruit tea came in a bucket form with a carry handle, wasn't anything special.

Best matcha is from Offbeat coffee in sac, but the double at Gu Ca Phe is just as good and has its own unique charm. Worth the price, worth the drive! Amazing. If I got it with normal sweetness, I don't think I'd love it as much. Long version: Cute little spot in an unsuspecting location. I don't live in Roseville but was here for an appointment so I stopped by since this place has been on my list. After trying dozens of matchas in Sacramento and surrounding areas, this one definitely rivals the top spot. It's a small location and the service was nice and pretty standard. They also have a kiosk so you can take extra time to scroll through the menu with photos. Not a fan of the AI artwork throughout if I'm being honest but I know it's a sign of the times. And I'm glad their drinks actually do look pretty damn close to the photos unlike other businesses. I got the regular size double matcha, less sweet. If it was regular sweetness, I don't think I'd like it as much. The matcha is good quality, seems like it was freshly handwhisked but not sure. It is strong without being astringent. The matcha cream is amazing and strong as well. You def have to love matcha to enjoy this one. It's going to be stronger than something you find at Starbucks of course. I love matcha to hit me in the face so this drink was perfect. They have the good ice, too ! A similar matcha I've tried, and is my personal #1 across dozens I've tried, is from Offbeat Coffee (x2 matcha). Gu Ca Phe has finessed something similar and I honestly feel like it would be worth the drive from West Sac to Roseville just for Gu Ca Phe's double matcha. I want to try their other drinks. The sugar croiffle was delicious, too!

The interior is small but clean and brightly lit. The coffee is good but weaker than I expect when getting Vietnamese coffee. It is phin dripped, and the classic flavor is there, but less creamy texture. Traditionally the brew is very strong and mixed with condensed milk only - the ice in this instance is necessary to balance the boldness. In this coffee, between the added milk and large amount of ice, it is watered down and not the full bodied experience you would expect. Overall still a good cup, and probably the best you can get in the immediate area, but not wholly satisfying if you are seeking the traditional Vietnamese coffee flavor.

I'll be honest, the Ethiopian I started with wasn't really showing how I expected. It felt a little muted and flat to me. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville.
